@@ellinorvandentop i meant in the comics. And he, he should be far more skilled than Strange, but Dr.Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme which means he has more raw power and is the champion of the universe. Doom, Enchantress, Loki etc should be around him, mostly due to their skills etc.

All he needed was to cast a time loop after he entered the space between dimensions and that did all the job.. No matter how he fought or how he died, the time loop kept going on until he dispelled it. But I agree. Strange became very skilled and OP in just one movie when Loki had thousands of years of experience and to grow more powerful

They make asgardian magic so lame. He’s a master magician, enough to contend with Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. MCU nerfed him.

You forgot some other powers he had; Telekinesis, after he heard his mother died he flung some furniture without psychically touching them(that was the only time he was shown using this power) and also telepathy, he looked into the Valkyrie’s mind.

@Taramafor Haikido - The time travel stuff and clones/variants was from after his Infinity War death, not Dark World death. The "clone" I assume you're talking about is 2012 Loki from New York who took the tesseract into a different timeline, which was shown at the ending of Endgame which transitions into the Loki series. Loki did not die in Dark World, it was an illusion. After Thor left to Midgard, Loki dropped the Illusion and went back to Asgard before banishing Odin to Midgard to rule Asgard on his own disguised as Odin.

Some people would be mad that he's under powered in the MCU but if they gave him all of the abilities he has in the comics he'd be way too op and become uninteresting also it wouldn't be plausible at all for that team of avengers to have beaten him in 2012 if they were dealing with comic book Loki.

Which is weird, given that they have no issue giving Strange many of his abilities or cranking up Wanda to pseudo House of M level reality warping (or whatever the hell is gonna happen in WandaVision) even though she was just telekinesis and mind control/telepathy before that. Hell, Wanda nearly solo'd Thanos and Strange had to be kept out of the fight in Endgame cos Thanos has no counter to magic without the Stones in MCU.

Physically Loki is far stronger than Captain America, Cap's punches and kicks didn't even budge him an inch. Those punches were really heavy, we know how strong a Supersoldier is and Loki was manhandling him.

Loki's power is phenomenal in the comics. Even his weakened Astral form is enough to overwhelm Doctor Strange. His powers of evil and magic are compared to Dormammu by Odin and Dormammu himself and is strong enough to trap Mistress Death against her will. But since power has been scaled down for cinematic sake (and likely budgetary reasons) Loki is limited by a LOT here. I mean, Loki's special effects alone would be over half the movie's budget. I still think he's holding back as even Doctor Strange identifies him as a threat to dimensional stability.

Loki certainly ought to have more abilities than he does in the MCU, but ‘mortals’ in the marvel universe happen to be really friggin impressive. So depending on what sort of god the character I personally don’t think that could or does automatically put them above super powered being that aren’t gods. Especially in the mcu were early on in the movies they kept trying to push this idea of asgardians just being aliens with magic like teach.

Scarlet witch? No. Doctor strange? Maybe. Get an enchantress. Maybe she cam be a threat to them.

So irritating sometimes how much the MCU nerfed him. In the original mythology Thor was described as being four times as strong, but Loki’s powers were insane: He could create earthquakes by punching the ground, controlling illusions but also creating solid objects at will, capable of shapeshifting into any animal or person and even a mountain at one point. He was able to come and go from the land of the dead at will-something even Odin could not do-and was considered the god of fire in the same way that Thor was god of lightning(think of the potential here) but could also control ice, wind and weather. But the MCU be like: “illusions and tiny knives” ....And there’s the fact that he was actually ODIN’S adoptive brother, not Thor’s.

this is why I love Loki he's so powerful like even Thor doesn't have half of thus

I love that look of "an arrow? Really?" when he catches Cliff's shot, right before it blows up in his face.

Don’t you just love how at 4:22 , even though the shapeshifting is over, they keep in the smile. Another one of his powers.

But we don’t actually know the death scene from the Dark World is an illusion bc for all we know as soon as Loki dies his cells just start regenerating bc of his unusual mix of magical abilities. Edit: some people aren’t quite understanding which I get so lemme go into detail. My personal theory is that Loki can die, but he just doesn’t stay dead. Instead of his cells dying his magic takes over and revives him after a certain period of time, depending on the wound. That’s what happened in dark world, he start regenerating as soon as he died, which is why he’s still alive. In this theory it also means that yes, Loki is still alive after thanos killed him. However, to answer why he’s not back yet I’d attribute that to: healing time, being in the middle of space, and possibly trying to take over a planet.

Loki is actually very powerful Remember once upon a time in thor ragnarok odin said it took a while for him to come out of lokis manipulation so add that to his strengths

It is interesting though that he doesn't quite have the same healing abilities as Asgardians, but he is the same size as an Asgardian and looks like one unless exposed to the cold. Also, he's more powerful than a Frost Giant. Loki brings up many questions, and I don't think they'll be answered in his series.

Just imagine what would have happened if he actually joined thanos

I really hope we get to see him fight more with daggers or at least hand to hand in the new show. Love how he looks like he's filled with rage and just letting it loose every time he fights like that, even against Valkyrie. All his fights with a scepter in Thor and Avengers felt weak and goofy.

I like how in Loki season 1 they actually have Loki using actual offensive magic like energy blasts and telekinesis.

To sum it: Born as frost giant made him immune to cold, and gave him better physique than normal human in term of strength, reflexes, and durability, then raised by Odin he got trained as a warrior while trained by Freya as a magician, but because he like the mother more, Loki choose to master magic with illusion as his major to support his cunning personality to trick or manipulate others.

I love Loki in every way, seriously, he's fabulous! i really love him

You missed one when Loki find out his mother died while he was in the prison he threw all the chairs and furniture without touching them

According to the official MCU Loki biography, he's way more powerful than we thought. (In my university thesis, I made a whole project than includes 6 Loki Infographic all about him and his screentime in the MCU, also in my thesis project I include collectible card, both of them includes AR animations.)
