@@Jon-jk8vd burns lake, small town i live in. there's like 3 parking lots here and we're on one of two ways to get from southern bc to northern bc and he has a lot of followers in the province. if he was gonna stay the night i didn't want to clearly give away his spot so left it a little extra vague. not much chance of it being an issue but i'd be pissed to get visits through the night. didn't make much difference as some people were over knocking on his windows shortly after i had commented lol

A little extra cushiness on your bed could be a comforter under you or a backpackers mattress. I don’t know how but I have a backpackers mattress and even though it’s not very thick, it really is pretty comfortable. I combine those two things. Combining your foam with something else might give you all the comfort you could want.

Foresty, I sometimes watch another channel called Pavlina Sudrich. She lives in the Yukon and does a lot of camping, backpacking, and fishing. She carries bear spray, but she also carries an item that I am not that familiar with called bear bangers. I have never heard you mention bear bangers. Have you considered carrying these in addition to the spray?

She has only been doing KZread for about a year, and most of her videos are shorts. She is doing quite well in only one year on the platform. (P.S.S. But she is married, although her husband does not appear in her videos. And she has her very amusing 82 year old dad in her videos sometimes.)

That creepy house was "Laura's Cove camping society". No it wasn't a cult. It was actually a legitimate organization that had government approval. They were releasing British Columbia Crown Land. But something happened and they took off without cleaning up. Other people now are trying to lease this piece of property, with the promise of cleaning up the area. But so far the government has not approved anybody.

wow! fantastic job clearing that trail. Multi-day effort, that's true dedication and incredible stamina. Beautiful cabin to hike to and spend the night in. Having it all to yourself is a bonus! Me, I would get the serious heebee-jeebees if I had to sleep in one of those loft bunks. My claustrophobia would have me waking in the night in a panic! But other than that, the cabin is true luxury. And beautiful.

I get so confused on trails that are not maintained, thank you Simon for helping outdoor enthusiasts. When you say "it's eerie" and "Yikes!" I know that's never a place I'm going to try. The "hut" is surprisingly very nice, I was expecting a run down cabin. Thanks Simon.
