SidewaysKing75

Welcome to SidewaysKing75 all for the love of restoring and modifying 1/64th die-cast cars.

What I once played with and abused as a child has come full circle and are now being restored and modded along the way.

Having been an avid scale modeller for over 30 years I wanted to share some of the work I've done and continue to do. Thanks for taking a look.

Great vid. Does anyone make and sell these? Seen some 3D prints but they don’t look anywhere near as good. Don’t think I have the skill or patience o make them to this quality. Thanks.

KEE-tone We used to call it methyl-ethyl-deathyl. Use in a well-ventilated area, as it’s carcinogenic.

Do you think laser could be better than inkjet? Asking because inkjet and I are no friends. Ink dries up, costs a bunch, etc. Thanks!

My favorite customizer on KZread. I have not done any customs of my own in too long. I have a Flat-out 442 in mind as it's my favorite casting. Have you ever done one of them?

Welcome back! I was just wondering a couple months ago if you were going to try coming back to YT. Dont worry about whether the 'OEM' has had the same ideas. The joy is watching your creativity as much as the end result.

Hey, bud, awesome to see you back again! Can't wait to see what you cook up next! I am pondering leaving the platform this year because of how sick it's getting and I just can't handle it anymore at my age but I am staying for the time being. I also have a health condition that's catching up with me and it's beginning to make things a bit difficult, so if I do leave it'll be mainly to preserve my mental and physical health. It all just isn't what I once knew. 😔 I'll never forget you, man, you were one of the precious few who made YT videos worth watching in a time when everything was complete bonkers.

Glad to see you back!!!! I have a request but I know American cars aren’t really your thing, but I really love the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. I know you love European rally cars, but I thought it was worth a shot🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Funnily, I just picked up the new casting in their “car culture” series. It looks like a 131, of course, but unlike your example, the fenders are plastic and separate from the metal upper and metal lower. They’ve added a roll cage that doesn’t look far off from your own. Edit: I should add that your Matchbox casting has more detail than the Hot Wheels one.

These are absolutely wonderful. We have a very similar taste in expensive old rally cars, but even if you were doing Lambos & Ferraris etc, the work is fantastic. Just as an aside, AK are a progressive company, from what I can make out and there might be a business deal to be done with you selling their paints online etc. I don’t meant to butt in of course and will keep my snout out from here on, it’s just a passing thought :) :) That and it’s nice to see decent people doing well. Best of luck in all future endeavours!
