MATCHBOX Restoration & Custom : 1975 Vantastic
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
1975 is the casting date by Matchbox of this Vantastic, which was always a car I neither loved nor loathed as a kid. Here I give it a little tidy up and few extra details.

Not sure how I missed this one, but glad I watched it. the scale compressor tank and ramps in the garage are great as well. Great video :)

Nice clean finish Chris ! I really like how the roof looks now. And that grill is 👍🏻 I had at least one as a kid, and yeah it never won any races, but was always around. And very cool spot about the Boss Mustang 😃

Alwayts appreciated you watching and commenting Stuart many thanks 🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
Lovely build mate 👌 i think i had one of these back in my youth . My memory is telling me that it was green and i thought the engine was already sticking out of the bonnet. It was either the van or maybe it was a mustang. So long ago now , where has the time gone 😪. Great memories though 👍

Many thanks Robert. There was one with an engine already sticking out you're right...... It was mahooosive though🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
Schicker wagen. Hast du gut umgesetzt
Great work even without any complex styrene building or anything like that . I'm not a particularly big van or estate person myself but this custom looks amazing :)

Good to see this one get the treatment, I really like the Vantastic casting. It shares a lot with the Boss Mustang as you say, and also the Piston Popper, but there are small differences in the bases and grille area. I shaved the roofrack off one of mine but left the kicked up spoiler on the rear edge of the roof. Might have to do another! Oh and it was real - an aftermarket conversion that was available in America

was trying to find this channel and revisit it again. love this!
The Vantastic. The version you have is the one I prefer - it also came with a stupidly vast blown engine, because, as Lesney execs thought at the time: 'All kids love vast engines and dragsters'. No. No we didn't. Some models, yes, but not ALL of them, thank you. Not a favourite of mine, as to create it, they had to do surgery on the tooling of their rather tasty Boss Mustang - the yellow one with the black bonnet/hood. Now that was a cool model, very much based on a real example. So, a van based on a Boss Mustang? Yeah, right. Apparently, though, someone did make one. The mind boggles, although I always thought that it might make a cool hearse... Good to see you back. 👍👍👍

Many thanks as always Brian. I can always count on you to give me an insight into the history, thank you. A hearse, now theres one I haven't done🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
Matchbox restoration and custom 1975. Vantastic
Great...
Nice job. It was great getting rid of the roof rack too! Cheers
Nice Chris, but to honest I do prefer the Race&Rally above Americana.

Love that extra detail!!
Nice! Would have never thought mustang if you didn't point it out, although I was thinking it could have been some weird off brand AMC Javelin Shooting brake.

Many thanks. I tell you what they seem to be made alot better as well than newer ones. Or should I say their equivalents, the 'premium' versions of Hot Wheels and Matchbox were just standard back in the day with opening parts and a spot of extra detail🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍

@@SidewaysKing75 yeah, so true. I see the ones out now and they look like rubbish in comparison
Love the clean look of this, the roof rack always just chipped and held dirt. Just wondering about the moon disc rears, are they drawing pins?
@SidewaysKing75

Many thanks its apprreciated. Yes the rear wheels are drawing pins 🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
I can't tell what year/ model it was now but there is a couple of production van models it was circa 1968,sorry mate how are you Chris,nice to see you again

Thanks for that..... I like amercan muscle cars but not very clued up on their dates. Many thanks 🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
I'm sure, its the same van, as Mel had, in mad max, was an auzy van, not common to the states
Hi, beautiful work. Can you please supply a link to the clamp/holder for spraying please.
I have a 1:43 scale Nissan GTR (Was my sons) and unfortunately there is a crack on the A pillar right at the roof. Is there anyway of stripping the car down and fixing it?
Nice!, very pimp (if youd done it purple it coulda been a bit of a pimpwagon). Ive been thinking of trying a wire saw instead of a coping saw for cutting out bonnets, panels etc, do you have any experience with using wiresaws?. Id think they would be a bit better than coping saw blades as theyd be less fragile.
@SidewaysKing75
2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried the round wire saws to be honest so will be interested to see if you're trying it. 🚕🚙🏎🚗🚓😁👍
Can you please teach us how to do the HKS wrap
