I’ve documented a bit and I think it is illegal in Germany as well right ? 🇩🇪 I find this not correct because there are a lot of normal people like me who won’t border the others and I would drive it responsibly… Is it illegal in Germany ? 🇩🇪

Wow! I was not even aware of standard sidepads as a new user in 2024 as my Airwheel x3 has none and hurts when I practice for a while.

EUCs are fun, but the legs get tired quicker, so I'd choose an e-scooter for longer rides. Also, I don't feel safe on a EUC when driving faster, whereas it it less of an issue on e-scooters.

Owning a Hyper Scooter is what got me interested in EUC. After I mastered the scooter and can comfortably ride at any speed it clicked in my head that these things aren't really as sketchy and dangerous as what you assume.

The info about the Italian law is false. That 500w probably refers to ebikes. About EUC there's just a big mess and no rules. It's not even considered a vehicle because it has only one wheel (minimum is two by definition). According to the city you are they may don't care about you or just choose you as public enemy no. 1. In Rome they once allowed a national meeting and the same morning they canceled the permit (100 ppl participating). Recently the police were "friends" and the local istitutions were even encoraging this activity. So it really depends and you gotta live day by day.

Moncat I don’t ride and know little about EuC but I think that not as much power is used as you think to self balance because of the gyroscopic forces ie yes power is needed for very low speed and starting and stopping but once moving the gyroscopic energy is actually balancing itself just spinning is more stable the faster it’spins and more wobbly as it slows down

I just began riding an euc (v10f) and im enjoying riding the euc very much. i just ordered a lynx. in my experience, the euc takes a little time to get used to riding. but once muscle memory has time to learn the feeling/sensation of riding an euc, i found that it is actually much easier than riding a bicycle. and even easier than walking. the simplicity of riding an euc is absolutely indescribable. I presently ride a dualtron storm LTD, and an inmotion v10f. i like scooters a lot, but the freedom and inspiration i feel while riding an euc makes the choice simple, if i were to choose one. euc 100%

Scooters are dumb and should be banned from roads unless they start adding turn signals to them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4iWtJtqnbOTqrw.html Here in Colorado EUCs are considered an E-bike. It has peddles and if you stop peddling it falls over and the motor shuts off. As long as you cap the speed at 20mph then it's a class 1 E-bike.

no asspads to protect coccyx? Falling on ass breaking coccyx and compression damaging spine probably more common for riding euc, when trying to break on sudden pothole or pavement end and falling ass down on hard concrete. I had fallen like that just yesterday and it hurts, now i'm searching for asspads to protect spine and coccyx bone in the ass.

About EUC having a better autonomy: There is no brakes on EUC when it decelerates the energy goes back to the battery. There are brakes on scooter I think, when you use the energy used to decelerate is transformed to heat and cannot be reused.

Kind of the same rules here in Sweden. But again as in Poland. It doesn't make any sense when cycleist are allowed to go over 40 km/h without the police saying anything. But EUC, eBikes, eScooters etc. get stopped for going faster then 20 km/h???? Different rules and laws for the same thing!

I was one of those careless scooter riders. They arent toys, yes they are fun but definitely be careful and not stupid. (I was stupid) i ordered gear after it happened and wont ride again until its here. WATCH FOR POT HOLES. Be respectful to everyone around you. Just because you can hit 40 to 60mph dont mean you have to do that everytime. Yes its fun but theres a time and place for everything. Also dont buy a used helmet. You never know if its compromised, and you sure dont wanna find out the hard way.

greatest comparison video this year. I've been on the fence about trying out ecu's I think you guys have pushed me over the line. I have three scooters one being the k 6 extreme Bull I'm definitely satisfied with it being able to go speeds up to 70 miles per hour and comfortable but I would like to try ECU for the challenge

I love my EUC, but it's hard to overstate how easy and convenient scooters are, and how steep the learning curve on EUC's can be, which is why I think most people are better off choosing scooters. It also doesn't help that there isn't a single training video that really nails how to ride an EUC. There are a lot, and some are better than others, I'd give a B- to even the best of them.

Wydaje mi się, że większa "oszczędność" na rzecz EUC wynika z rozłożenia ciężaru i małego styku tylko jednej opony z powierzchnią + ew. opory powietrza na niekorzyść hulajki. Pozdr! ;-)

Isn't it that you can drive escooter like Ninebot from Segway where you have to push with feet and then you can drive still legally? I just found info on official government site that it's possible if it's not faster than 25km/h.

the average EUC has better range due to a more sophisticated motor control algorithm. When a scooter has the same algorithm, it has more range than an EUC.

As a Dutch guy all I can say is that the Netherlands should rethink their policy on PEV's. The government is overcomplicating things by treating people interested in alternative modes of transportation like glass jars that need 12 miles of bubble wrap for protection and that the average citizen doesn't understand risk factors. For example; I am allowed to use a recumbent bike (that can easily (when you're fit) do 40 km/h) in traffic without a helmet, but I have to wear a helmet by law for a 25 km/h restricted moped which has to abide by bicycle laws? And I'm not even allowed to use a PEV on public roads (with very few exceptions), but can just go ham on my inline skates through the city (my brain doesn't care if my feet have wheels or not) unless there is a strict no-skate-zone? Even weirder: I have to wear a helmet by law on a so called speed-pedelec (just a bike but increasing human power like you are Iron Man) which is restricted to a maximum speed of 30 km/h or a 25 km/h limited moped, but don't need to wear a helmet on a modern racing bicycle (30~40 km/h), modern mountain bike (25~30 km/h), a Fatbike (capped at 25 km/h by law), or even a tricycle capable of doing highway speeds if it is equipped with safety belts, even without a motorbike permit. I'm nearing 50, have had a drivers license for 28 years, also got a motorcycle permit, grew up when mountain bikes were invented (went downhill on them at 60 km/h, when I was 14 and dumb.. ..for doing that in low-tops, shorts and a t-shirt). I have come to know a few things about risks and mitigating them, I don't have Down syndrome "tweedekamer" (=Dutch elected Government), I'm fully capable of wiping my own...

part of the range difference might be motor size and fraction of motor power you're using. Bigger motors tend to be more efficient, and motors are most efficient at maybe 40% of their max power

I don't like to contemplate which one. I have a specialized turbo levo electric mountain bike, a Mukuta 10+ hyper scooter, two EUCs, including a Leaperkim Lynx, and a propel endeavor2 GT electric skateboard. Sometimes I have multiples in my car and when I get out on the trail I will literally turn around and go back to my car because the trail is better suited to the EUC or the mountain bike etc. When I retire I am going to be flat broke but my living room will be jampacked full of toys!
