We must be almost tied for finishing the historical collection...after getting Nanea, all I have left for current are the twins, and for retired, Ivy. 😊
So cool! I do have Ivy but I think I will wait on the twins for now. They are still pretty current as far as historicals go. You will probably beat me! LOL. Your Nanea is lovely. ❤

Patti play pals are my favorite antique dolls! My great grandmother gave me two when I was little. I remember her repairing them and having them displayed in her sitting room having a tea party! Lovely video and Happy Birthday to Adam! ❤

Wow! A step back in time with this dolly. You’ve practically made her new again. Will you be painting her eyelids? I wonder what her hair is made of? Back then, I believe they used animal hair. This restoration was not stressful as I thought it would be for me 😅❤

I appreciate your nice comment. Yes I believe it is just a matter of practice and figuring things out. I can't wait to find another one to work on. Maybe one day I will fix her even better with no leaks at all. I would also like to learn how to fix her eyeballs. I think she needs wax or paint on her lids. At least they still rock properly and the paint loss doesn't show with her eyes open. Take care :)

Thank you Blaine! I really appreciate that. I enjoyed the project very much. I think she is a beautiful doll. It was the love of antique dolls that piqued my interest in the historical American girl dolls. So I weighed her on my postal scale...with her clothes and part of her stand she is 2 pounds 9 oz. She is 22 inches tall. My AG Samantha is of course 18" and she weighs 1 pound 14 oz in her clothes. I look forward to seeing your next video too!
@@CherishedDollFriends oh! I really thought she’d be heavier! I was expecting 5lbs, that she’s weighted to feel like a baby. But that’s much more manageable lol
I think the kid leather and sawdust are pretty light. I would say her bisque head has an equal weight to her body. She is more of a child fashion doll than a baby doll. Like an American Girl from 1910😄

I love them both I have them and I started collecting too when I saw videos of adults showing dolls I didn’t know existed I was collecting doll for myself Barbie’s then one of my granddaughters introduced me to American girl doll which I didn’t know existed now I have too many which I love them all and of course I have many other different lines of doll too and I hope to have my own ytube too ❤

You need a wonderful job on your Velvet restoration! 💜 She turned out just beautiful, especially her hair! I think Ideal dolls are really some of the cutest and most unique dolls ever made. I recently did a restoration on two Tiffany Taylor dolls (video hopefully coming next week) and it was so much fun. Do you have any other dolls made by Ideal, other than the ones you showed in this video?
Hi Katie, Thank you so much! Doll restoration is so much fun. I have another one coming up soon of an antique doll. Right now in my collection I have two Velvets, Two Crissy's and one baby Crissy but she is missing her ponytail.
