All due respects dude. It's 2024. Anyone who's paying attention knows knows the mid-upper range Squiers and Epi's these days are pro-level guitars in their own right, with great looks, build quality, playability, and tone. How bout you play it a little for us?

@@chooko9250 if you look at my channel a little more you will find me playing it a bit. I own several Squiers… there’s no doubt they’ve come a long way, however the essence of this guitar is a game changer if you play one. It is unequivocally an absolute masterpiece to play. Effortlessly…. And with my left arm and wrist so badly damaged from my motorcycle accident..ease to play is very important to me. Especially because I can’t feel much of my left hand and fingers from the nerve damage. This guitar makes that handicap “almost” disappear for me. Very few guitars do that. If you get a chance to play one of these I’d highly recommend it. Thank you for watching my video. I appreciate every comment..

@Thenon-mediocreguitarist Great guitar my friend! I never played one of these. One day, when I hit up G.C., I'll make sure to sit down and play one of these. Plug one of these guitars into my amp of choice, Line 6 Spider V60 MKII, same amp that I own, or the new Line 6 Catalyst CX 60, or Catalyst CX 100. How well do the pickups hold up on this guitar? Also, if I ever plug this guitar into a Line 6 Spider V60 MKII amp in Guitar Center, how well will the pickups sound, if I go to the insane setting on the amp? Super stoked to try this guitar out at G.C. I wonder how well this guitar will handle a set of Dunlop Heavy Core strings on it. Perhaps, the Jim Root Signature 6 string set, that allows you to play in Drop "A". And play all those heavy Slipknot riffs.

I played one of those when they came out, and yea, they weren't nearly as impressive to play as to look at. Whenever I find a Gibson I like, it's one of the best guitars I've played, but most Gibsons I try are just alright and almost never match the price tag anymore. For what its worth, Fender doesn't impress me that often either. Epiphone is much more consistent for me. If its a model I like, and the neck shape even remotely matches what I'd expect, it's usually great. My favorite recently was actually one of those P-90 SGs, even in green like yours. Only got to try it once though before I went overseas for a while. I also like the current Les Paul Juniors.

I picked up the cheapest tele style they had, I bought it back when I was looking into a fender ultra. It no way compares to the fender…. but, they are not trying to do that. For the price and me never into a tele, something to kinda try….. to see if I liked the body and sounds, it was good! And I updated the pickup and tuners. And it’s a guitar I actually love now😂. Like I said, it won’t compare to the fender I wanted, but for the money, I thought to myself “I’ll just wait for now” the neck was actually good for $89 at the time i played some guitars 600 bucks, and this one felt better. ( maybe I got lucky) But I even bought a new nut, but felt no need to change it after the locking tuners ,it was good for what it is and left the original one in. With the damage in my shoulder, wrist and hand from my accident I can’t play it for longer than 5 minutes without pain in my shoulder and the constant pulling up on the neck while trying to play is a pita… I may go to Chuck Levin next week and play the standard again.. but for the price I’m not sure it’s worth almost $1.5k more than the Epi. I’ve heard many…. many times Gibson owners saying it may take several Gibsons to find one that “has it”… not sure if that’s true but I even hear pro musicians saying it… so buying used sounds like it could be another pain in the butt… I’ll be honest, my Ibanez JS2410 is quite literally the easiest playing guitar I’ve ever owned. The pickups, the feel, the balance, the neck profile..it fits like it was made for me…Joe and I are built v similar, I realized that when I met him. And he’s my first guitar hero… so I’m thinking I’ve found “my guitar”… really don’t need a Gibson just to own one… though it would be cool to inadvertently find one that I could connect with.
