Yes. You can very well still complain about the current bad writing. Fixing it later is just them admiting it was bad.

I agree with most of what you said. I still enjoyed it A LOT. My only complaint is the stupid slides... such a shitty gameplay experience! Not only that, you can't back track because of that. So, if you miss something, you have to go through everything again to get back. So annoying!

Its going to be alright. You've learned a hard lesson. Never believe the hype. Never trust a live service to live the projected life span. Live service games aren't made with fun in mind, only money. I hope this is the last game to make you feel like a 🤡. We've all worn the make-up before. Helldivers 2 having a battle pass nearly sent me. And i know its all been earnable in game, i know that know. But on first hearing it my reaction was knee jerk.

I really loved this game, my main frustrations with it were the constant sliding and the map. I agree with you that it does use the recognizable parts of SW to dress up its gameplay at times but I think overall it is a really solid game. However I did play it and Survivor several months after release because of the bugs but that is more of a problem with the state of game releases as a whole and not as much with this series in particular. Cal and the crew are some of my favorite new SW characters and I’m excited to see what they do with the third game. Also, I don’t think the Vader moment is pure fanservice. This is coming from someone who rolled their eyes when Luke Skywalker showed up in the Mandalorian, but Vader’s presence here makes sense narratively and characteristically. It reminds the player of how inconsequential our actions have been in the grand scheme of the empire, and how all our leveling up of Cal’s abilities are nothing against a fully formed Sith Lord. It also makes sense for him to be there because Trilla just brought back the key to destroying any future Jedi, something Vader is deeply invested in. He is often shown doing the dirty work himself in the OG series and in the comics, so him showing up to collect the holocron after the failure of many purge troopers and the Ninth Sister makes sense. I understand players being frustrated that you couldn’t fight him but I appreciate that this game chose story over mechanics in this moment, Cal beating Vader would make no sense, Vader has taken out Jedi three times his age and with decades of training. Despite the fact that he killed me five times on my first playthrough because I got lost on the map once again, this ending was cool as shit and was satisfying narratively in a way few Disney-era SW stories have managed to be.

The original game has much much much better music and it was made with intent and not out of the only option The mood isn’t as dire as you make it out to be and the music does fit They could have made it ambient if they wanted to as clearly shown in maintenance The original system shock does age well and it isn’t hard aside from the controls Playing the game it has some horror vibes but I never felt scared or creeped out by it I think the original is worth playing Vita chambers work in Bioshock Also if done correctly we can have advanced tech and nature as space does have a lot in it. Also I agree that in order for things tog eat better and not repeat the past then we need to evolve. I believe that evolution and nature can coexist Also it’s important to distinguish transhumanism from capitalism since the game critiques both
I'm gonna call bullshit on that Jordan Peterson bit. I saw that clip and he wasn't crying "because people were making fun of him on Twitter." In that clip he's talking about the emails he's gotten from people who were depressed or suicidal that claimed his "clean your room" philosophy saved them from a very miserable and a very short life. Peterson is a shill and and grifter but being emotional because someone took your advance, as obvious and cliche as it is, and was able to lose their desire to kill themselves is not something to hold the against the guy. Like I enjoyed the video up to that point but I know for a fact that clip in specifically is not what you said it is, and I absolutely despise people lying to my face.

This series will forever stand as the one thing to get me invested in Star Wars, so invested that I made an entire 5e campaign based on it when the movies could only vaguely hold my attention. Excellent first game, arguably even better sequel.

You can't trademark mechanics like that. They trademarked The Nemesis System, the *name.* Not the actual system itself. That would need to be copyrighted.

I always thought that the world of Columbia might have been partially inspired by the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago. The grand turn of the century aesthetic, the American exceptionalism, the gimmicky, theme park-esque feel, even the exhibition and exploitation of marginalized people-if you look at pictures from the time, you can really see the parallels. The fair was even held on the 400th anniversary of Columbus, thus the name Columbian Exhibition. I’m surprised more people don’t bring it up.
I loved this game so much but I’m glad I waited a while to play it, if I’d had half the bugs people dealt with at launch I might have given up on one of my favorite Disney-era Star Wars stories. The characters really made it all worth it with this one and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Mmm. Ok sure...you can't both idolize the Avengers who are a gaggle of freaks while crying about being a freak. Either you want to be one of the freaks or you don't and you hate them. I guess only one of them are freaky...like the Hulk...but they didn't put the work in to convey that she doesn't value the hulk as an actual hero. It would make sense if most people Believe that hulk is just on the team just so they can control him rather than being friends with him.
Bd-1's electro shot actually has a cool hidden ability, if you shoot a droid with it then they'll be hacked and when fighting breaks out they'll be on your side (of course you have to have the specific hack unlocked).

I just beat this for the first time last night and I agree with you, i never trusted bode from the second i met him. And later when cal suggests using tanalor for the path bodes face said it all Also i also loved the different stances, i mained dual until crossguard was unlocked. And youre right about the gun one feeling a little weaker but it's was KEY in beating the double oggdo force tear as the charged shot would interrupt their attacks. I played fallen order on grand master and this one on heroic and it felt like a good challenge, bosses we're tough not invincible and combat was appropriate to the amount yoi were fighting. Cant wait to new game+ on grand master

I'm still bummed that they claimed there were more planets than fallen order when there werent, obviously koboh is the biggest planet in both games but other than that, zeffo is bigger than jeddha and id argue kashyyyk is too bogano is about the same size if not bigger than the shattered moon and the same goes for dathomir being the same size as coruscant, the isb base is small like the fortress inquisetorios in the first game and tanalor might aswell not even be counted as a planet because its smaller than bracca the tutorial of fallen order, there definitely arent more planets like they claimed there is just more on koboh, both games have 4 planets and one of them being tanalor should not even count as a planet, having 2 small moon bases you can go to definitely does not constitute as more planets, in this regard i wish they were more truthful
People actually like turgle? Hes annoying af, i have 0 sympathy for characters that do blatantly dumb shit that they know isnt going to end well when they cant even defend themselves and then once saved they go and do the same shit over and over again, the amount of times you can speak to turgle and he proposes some dumb plan to scam someone and see if cal would bail him out is just annoying

Amazing review, just finished this game a week ago, and it’s polished without bugs, just some performance hiccups but 95% of the game was great. Glad to see a review that takes time, keep up the good work.
Played the beta once. Un-installed it. Never bought or touched the game after. Best decision I ever made.

I was having a rough day today so I came back to watch this and every time I watch this I just giggle because my autistic ass never had an issue with the camera or the hacking Mini-Game and actually enjoyed sitting there and doing them. 😂😂 The only time that I really got upset with the mini game is some of the late game hacks that do not give you enough time to make the adjustments needed and I just do the automatic hacks on those or buy it out
i had a big logical take before but im mainly just sad they ruined my favorite franchise

Good video enjoyed the watch. Actually had me look up a few things out of curiosity. I stopped playing a while before Joker dropped because the game got so boring I figured I might as well just wait for something interesting. When Joker did drop I cam back and saw I had to run through the fluff missions just to get him and uninstalled the game. I was kind of excited for Ms. Freeze to see what happens, but now that I know how they are going to push players to get her, the game is never going to be reinstalled. Waste of a solid 100 sadly. Again though, good critique definitely held my interest the whole way through.
I would love to see her play red dead 2 or even gta 5, i cant picture her playing like the average psychopath so it would be interesting to see which decisions she makes whilst free roaming. Great vid as usual.
