Getting one of these way late to the game but even with all the hate i have a pair of kz zs10 pro x that i love and recently lost one of my jabras at a kiddie park. Smh. Just gonna make my iems more portable.
250 is better
If you see the Freq response of the 80 and 250 ohm version the differences are so small. it's literally 3db difference at 100hz ,at 4khz and at 20khz along with some other really small differences. I dont believe the human ear can understand the difference if were blind and wore the one or the other
the fact that you used Circa as a reference makes me want to get them. Circa has been my favorite band for 20 years...
those cans are crazy good with right source
The replacement ear pads are from the BT model which are thinner and less cushy. Have you been able to find the OEM replacement ear pads for the K371?
This vs the Creative Labs G6?
After 3 years since I last commented, the day seems to have finally come. It sounds like the connector of my headphones is dead, probably a cable got loose inside. I am currently ordering all the parts and a soldering iron. I will go with the Rean RT3 MPR connector though since I will be able to mount that after the soldering is done. Wish me luck.
My plastic 598SE has been a decade old and the plastic is still standing strong
Nice review. I have been using the Xduoo MT-604 for over a year driving Sennheiser 800S. Love it.
I have a question for general usage is it better to upgrade to open back headphones or closed.can anyone recommend a decent sennheiser headphone
Just bought it. The sound quality is under my expectation. I have BTR15 which has far better sound quality.
I absolutely disagree with your review. These are soundstagewise about the second best i've ever heard. I ve had very much more expensive ones also the most expensive STAX electrostats. You must have used very bad source material. These also have very natural sound. Much better true to nature than Sennheiser 5Xx or 6XX. They also are much more dynamis and true to live music. Now I can understend that if you appareciate music the best like in an elevator than I can understand your opinion. I resect your opinion but also respect mine which is completely opposite to yours.
Would these work well if they're plugged into the new Rode NT USB Plus? Or should I go for the 80 Ohms pair?
My question is does the volume knob change the system volume or is it a stand alone volume that only actually turns the headphones down without affecting system volume? That is what I need. I hate that the x4dac that I'm currently using turns system volume down instead of internal to itself volume.
Very very very well explained. I feel confident next time whenever I go to buy a new pair of headphones.
Nice review. Very detailed and fairly objective.
Anyone know if you can use this with a GoXLR?
I knew nothing about audio but wanted to learn. I searched for "Fosi Audio K5 Pro Gaming DAC Review" and you popped up. This was perfect, thanks!
Ive had akg earphones didnt like them have the hd599
I watched the video but didnt really understand one part of it. What is the main difference between the 80ohm vs the 250 ohm in a general daily use task. I just want to play story games listen to the amazing sound track and play games watch youtube etc. Should i pick the 250 ohm or 80 ohm ?
Good review. The 3m cable is for home HiFi use. I understand the pro version has the coiled cable. Us oldies like to lounge in our armchairs, at some distance from our Hi Fi😉.
Only one speaker is now working. The side with the plug is the only side working. I bought them two months ago.
The cables ridiculously short & I did'nt think much of them when I listened to them.
have a pair of HD600s amd you can really tell the difference between DACs
I've just ordered the he400i with 2.5mm Jacks as I prefer the old style headband, I have the her9 which has the newer headband, granted the new addition probably won't be as comfortable but I just love the look of the og 400i
I just bought a PC38X and am looking for an AMP to squeeze a little more volume of out it. This seems perfect. I care about spacial audio like Dolby Atmos and DTS:Headphone X
The music in this video sounds like being hit in the head with a hammer over and over again like what the hell
Detailed review. Your insight helped me make a purchase decision. I will use your referral link.
Yeh idc the hd599s i just ordered are the winner ok
I got one myself and at first I thought It was horrible, felt like a defective product and I realized the problem was in the USB-C connection, I'm still not sure if it is an issue with the product itself or my motherboard, since I have no other sound device that uses USB-C. But changing it to an USB-A port solved the issue so far, microfone was a mess with a whole lot of interference and also a lot of shimmering/static noise going through my headphones. USB-A still has that shimmering sound, but only noticiable at high volumes which I never use that much anyway. I still think that should not happen, but for the price it's good enough.
Your review is a breath of fresh air vs all the hyped up reviewers with golden ears. I have a few desktop favs and amps and many high end headphones. There are such big differences between headphones that any difference a particular Amp or Dac may make is very much in the fine margins. The main use case for the Burson is likely in the very hard to drive high impedance headphones. I recently bought a nice little O2+SDAC used for the price of a few coffees at Starbucks and am impressed at what it delivers vs my much more expensive equipment.
Bought these for 100€ and have been using them for 3-4years now. Absolutely amazing. They are extremely light, sound great, very conformable and they are the only headphones I can use the entire day, take em off and not feel a sense of "relief" like they've been squishing my small brain the entire day. After this much use only the top headband is starting to strip a bit. 10/10 would recommend
I've had a Fosi K5 Pro for about a year and listen to music on a desk top set-up. Does it as good as my Topping E50 DAC? No, not quite, but, depending on your speakers, the tone controls can be useful. In my case, my speakers are very good, but they placed against the back wall and bringing down the bass a smidge and more than offsets any drop in sound quality compared to a dedicated DAC. It's well built and reliable. Good unit.
Got my 1st pair of k371 today and right side dead out of box... I've had K361 since launch with no issues
2nd pair today. They're functional but the headband adjustment is so loose it adjusts by itself. My old K361 in comparison requires actual force to adjust and won't adjust by itself. Sound is also worse than K361. Too boomy
Salve amigo! Você sabe me dizer se esse tipo de DAC/Amp pode ser usado na saída P2 do iPad Air 2? Ou recomenda algum outro? Muito obrigado
I use this for audio mixing and they are almost suspiciously good compared to other headphones... with a headphone amp you can hear problems in a mix that you can't hear with other headphones... makes you panic and worry their are problems in mixes before you used them -- but just the same.. if you can't hear those problems in any other headphones are they really problems, or is it JUST these headphones? I've even found professional mixes from major label albums that have tons of noticeable artifacting in the sound with these.
so would this be a good option for me if im getting it for the DT990 Pros 89 ohms on ps5?
Very, very late response and you probably already have made a decision but they even advertise on their site that it’s good for PS5
Is there any way to improve the latency used with AAC?
Do you think buying ifi zen air blue v2 worth it?
I don't want open back, no private.
The only reason the headphone is sold this way is market segmentation. I wish there were more good options in closed back headphone. I have these too i hate it.
Thanks for the video. I think I'll cut the original cable two inches past the headphones then pull them put of the cable sheath, and voila, already on the coil from the factory, ready to micro-trim and solder onto the XLR. I'll see if that works!
Magni+ and Magni heretic are on clearance on the Schitt site ($60 and $50 respectively). They are still $99 on their Amazon store. I'm a little concerned that these are on clearance... was it a bad batch?
No, they have "too many" headamps" in the same class some new, some a little older and some even more old. They have too much stock and thus clearing out the warehouse. It not any faulty technical concerns as far as the research I did. Btw, those $60 Magni+ are terrific! People should scoop those up, if not as alternates then as gifts or family/friends. It's truly a great amp.
One of the easiest subs I've done.Straight to the point, very informative with a nice word play twist here and there.Keep it up !!
Awesome
👍
This thing only costs about US$40 in SEA. Insane value.
Where do u buy it
I have akg371, thanks to you and metal571. I was interested even to dt770 pro 80ohm, but I don't have any amp, so I opted for the akg371, they're amazing after two years. You think that the limited edition 770 pro X with 48ohm are going to be a better and an already well rounded 770 pro version? Or maybe going to upgrade with this 700 pro x?
I just found your channel and I see you haven't posted for some time now. I how you will start to post again.
