I typically focus on the history of Miss Universe and its affiliated national pageants but I occasionally branch out to cover more of the international and key national pageants.
I’m a huge Miss Universe fan and have been since the early 1980s. On this channel you’ll find historical, fact-based analysis of pageants past. I’m less about drawing comparisons, feeding into country rivalries and taking sides. I love the passion beauty pageant fans have, but dearly wish we could all communicate with each other respectfully, regardless of where we come from, who we cheer for and what our opinions are.

20:34 USA's silver fitted gown and hair updo for MU made her look "a little older" as compared to her hair-down-styling and black ball gown at MUSA which was way better IMHO as it encompassed her fun-free-spirited personality.

18:00 Sweden's and Thailand's updo was, most likely, done to save up time for the eve gown round or, in some cases, maybe they had less than enough time to change hairstyles for eve gown since they had "less than 10 mins" (or was it 5?) to change.
5:31 "No favoritism and no rigging": This now conflicts with the leaked video last February. It looks like their credibility is sinking.

In beauty pageant there's plenty beauty they all wants to win there's will always some controversial but there's one winner noted and also replacement if she doesn't do your job and stick to the rules of the pageant replacement

Steve Harley has been the worst host ever. He is a liar. He can’t read. He’s not funny. Some of his banter with delegates is cringeworthy. Check out 2022 with India (winner Haarnaz Sandhu) when she says Namaste and he says what did you say “I must stay?”-you just got here. He didn’t know anything about pageant world or cared about it for that matter. He tarnished a great period of shows, especially the show that all was the best in the pageant’s history, Thailand’s phenomenal hosting and production for the 2018 show.
I don't know why you think Angela in 89, Mona in 90 and Leila in 2011 were surprise victories, they were the favourite or near favourite in their years!

I’m an American, and my all-time favorite Miss Universe is Barbara Palacios. Ironically, my all-time favorite Miss USA is Christy Fichtner. I fell in love with Christy the night she won Miss USA. She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I was 10-years-old the night of the 1986 Miss Universe Pageant. When Miss USA lost, I was devastated. I cried myself to sleep that night. I couldn’t understand how Miss Venezuela had won. However, having re-watched that pageant probably hundreds of times over the years, I was eventually able to see it objectively without the inherent bias for my home country. Then I fell in love with Barbara. She’s exquisite and exudes sophistication and class. Her skin is porcelain, and her eyes are oceans. She’s the top queen in my book.

Please analyze the actual footage of the announcement of miss universe 2013. Why is it that miss Spain was focused when miss universe Wimmer was announced. Like in the case of miss pia, when Steve announced miss Columbia, pia was the focus of the camera because the cameraman knew the real winner. Just asking. Every winner, the cameraman always instructed a closed up shot for the winner.
I absolutely agree with your choice for the most memorable performances...Miss Venezuela's performance in Vegas was a breath of fresh air...She was fantastic! Lara Dutta of India was again very iconic because of her mic drop answers and her overall grace and composure.... Sushmita Sen wasn't leading at all till she gave her final answer ....I would have loved Miss Russia of 2002 to have been in your top 5 list because she was a beauty...While she may have been dethroned, she deserved a spot for her integrity and she had the guts to give back her crown for that awful perv interview she had to give...Poor girl!
