I'm not sure you know what "selling out" is. They got tired of playing 9 minute overcomplicated songs and decided to write simpler ones. It was still heavy as fuck. They also wanted it to sound sonically as good as possible. That's not selling out. If they wanted to keep playing progressive thrash but their record company wanted them to make more radio friendly music and the did so begrudgingly, then you could say they sold out. But by all accounts, that didn't happen. As far as Load goes, as much as I hated that album, that was just a stylistic change that they wanted to make. They evolved. They did what they wanted to do without caring what people would think, knowing they would alienate fans. That's not selling out.

It's almost 2018 and I still play this game from time to time. I love the story. The DLC Stasis Interrupted is great, this game is just full of fan service. The reviewers can't be real Aliens fans if they knocked this game, this is a great sequel to James Cameron's movie

I agree with you 100%. The biggest tell that they indeed sold out was them pathetically developing a "look". I don't know how anyone can argue with that, it was there for everyone to see. They cut their hair and were wearing suspenders and eye liner for fucks sake! James was reluctant and went with a mullet for awhile but eventually gave in. Equally obvious was their attempt to stay relevant by catering to MTV. It was so cringe worthy to see them sitting there with fake smiles, wearing blazers, bobbing their heads while freaking Avril Lavigne performed their song. It was beyond sad. Chris L The QTEs in TLOU were far less freqeuent and usually relied on mashing instead of single presses, so they were much harder to get blindsided by and forced to fail just because you were stupid enough to actually maybe be enjoying a cinematic. I was never bothered by them in TLOU. I think I was aware that they existed, but I don't remember ever failing one or being annoyed by them. All the RE games make me feel anxious during every new cutscene.

I agree but my list would be from best to worst puppets, justice, kill em all, lightning, then black. I really never have bothered to listen to anything after that. If they could could just make one more album going back to the 80s sound, so many fans would appreciate it. The voice shift is the biggest problem.

I don't see any major issues with it. the minor issues i have experienced are things I've experienced in any game i've ever played. Its a solid game that makes the Alien lore even better. totally redeemed Alien 3 as a sequel for me.

This game gave you a lot of bang for your buck and I can't complain. Great action game with weird third person cover mechanics, but a terrible RE game. If you can look past all of that, it's one hell of a ride and I absolutely enjoyed the game. Therefore I agree with it being called underrated.

Resident evil 6 now surpasses the sales of Bioshock infinite for the pc on most game selling websites (gamesplanet) for example.. Having played the game I do not understand why people rate it so poorly. It is an excellent addition to the series.

Honestly enough, I've just sat down with this game on the PC version, having just completed Leon's Campaign, I am very impressed with the story, which is what I came to RE6 for. I don't see why the reviews have been giving this a 5.0, I personally don't mind QTEs... After all the reviews, I was expecting to sit down and play a short, crappily-told story, with some bad gameplay.. HOWEVER, I enjoyed combat, and Leon's campaign was awesome and it threw me back to RE2. Now to play the others!!

I've just beaten the game on all 4 campaigns and it was excellent. I didnt even give a damn about the fact it's not scary; it had a nice story, great combat system, i actually enjoy QTE's and I haven't found a single flaw the reviewers claimed there would be. I would say other than not having a storage system, the game is excellent.

I think the reason that this one got such bad reviews is that all the reviewers got a lot of backlash for giving RE5 good reviews. Most reviewers aren't very honest about their decision making and they just follow the trends of their readership. This game, like 5 (and 4 and the Remake and 0 and 3 and 2 and 2) is awesome; people just need to take a game for what it is instead of holding everything to their imaginary ideal.
