Last Saturday 13th July was never uploaded to the Global player & wasn't on the 7 day Catch up either so I reckon their was an Issue with the technology that records it at Global. Look up what the symptoms are for the new Covid variant in 2024 & a constant cough like Nick had is one of them.Also if the Air conn is drying out the air in that studio, that will totally dry his throat out & a Cough mixture for dry coughs will help. The 2 best Ive come across are Bronco stop & sudafed liquid cough syrup. I put on the Nick Abbot Habit on, the recent ones are Covid related & it reminds you how much of "not having a clue Nick had" about Sweden so I turned them off as well. LBC has Cruella Braverman standing in as "Holiday cover" for James O'Brien on Tuesday 23rd July. Have people woken up & smelt the coffee yet that LBC is just a slightly more moderate GB NEWS/Talk Radio. Nick & the occasional "James'O Brien is my LBC listening each week. Quite funny listening to "The J'OB" struggle for subjects for the 1st time in 14 yrs in a "New World Labour Gvt". O'briens "Global internet outage" was the most clueless hour Ive heard for quite some time on LBC & thats saying something for LBC. "Blind leading the blind"

Nick, you should buy a cheap digital thermometer with a humidity sensor. Measure the air humidity in your studio, it may be too dry due to the A/C and also be on recirc mode rather than drawing in fresh air.

The female voice which says "Hello"😊 sounds so very much like my firstborn niece, who sadly died of COPD in April 2019, that I hope Nick will continue to use her cheery-sounding voice... I knew she was ill, but not _that_ ill, so her death was a real shock to me as I was only nine years her senior, we practically grew up together ...and her Mum, (my half-sister), also died, just 11 days before her 75th birthday in Decembeer 2019. My extended family is shrinking. 😟🤨

oh boy, this is just caught on me about cashless in the uk. this explains why the cashiers kept telling me that it’s cashless cashier, i couldn’t understand why she couldn’t except money and asked me to go to another tills. it was really puzzling me but wasn’t too sure to ask why, now i know what it’s all about. how weird to have such operation, it’s hard enough to bring costumers into the shops, when they do, only to be told that they don’t accept money. throughout my visit, i kept having to queue twice 🙈🤯

I was affected, Amazon support wasn't working. One of the few orders I have ever made on Amazon and this happened. And you know what serious issue it has caused to me? None. I just had to wait a day or two..

This is why we shouldn't rely on so few systems to run so much. We really don't need to run full blown Windows on many of the things that failed today. Also, if this happened from one person pressing a button then there really need to be VERY serious questions asked as to how it's possible that one single person has that much power. There should be multiple steps within these systems that catch this kind of crap. I won't be shocked to find out this happened due to self regulation of some form or an other.

Regulators are also absolutely useless and corrupt. I know because i have personally dealt with the chairman of OFWAT and via a trade organization with OFGEM. I have in both cases provided written evidence of companies breaking the laws and rules set down in the license regulations and have seen in all cases the regulator do absolutely nothing. Indeed 20 years on and 3 years into a new complaint with OFGEM about their own information held on their website, i still have no joy. So regulated or not, massive companies/corporations will continue to do their thing (see the Post Office scandal). In reality what should happen is the creation of laws that hold those responsible to proper account and not just to the embarrassment associated with appearing before public enquiries.
