Bingo. I guffaw when I hear those who call themselves "followers of Jesus" talk about the need for home insurance and the blind trust they have for the fraud that is medical practice. "I need to take these pharmacological poisons because my doctor told me so." There is not one mention of the word 'vibration' in the bible, yet it is PROVEN that everything in the universe, God's creation, vibrates. Matthew 5:25 briefly alluded to this before Saul the Pharisee derailed the entire fledgling ministry.and polluted the gospels with sanhedrin-based control phrases. Jesus was correct when he said "they know not what they do."

Indeed, God created everyone different and expects people to use their differences in service for the Lord, but God did not intend for people to live for themselves or “be you.” The Bible says we must take up our cross daily and follow him, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. The Bible says we must die to self, and live for God. “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me,” -Luke 9:23. The idea that we should “follow our heart,” or things of that nature, is not according to the Bible. Our heart is desperately wicked above all things. We do not follow that which is wicked and we do not live for ourselves; we live for and follow the God who made us.

God wants us to use our differences for His glory. If by “be yourself,” you mean, “do what makes you happy and what you want.” Then no, God does not want that. But if you mean “use your differences for the Lord” then yes. God created us all differently, He knows what we’re good at and what we’re not, He only wants us to use our differences for His glory rather than our own glory or pleasures. In summary, the message is that everything you do should be for God rather than for yourself.
