  I frequently go out alone. It’s not an issue at all . Talk to men and women. Put your phone away. Ask the bartender what drink he might suggest to you. He will ask a few questions. Dress for success. I’m not an extrovert.

  John, really appreciate you talking about what is not often talked about. Giving to others without any fanfare . The other one thing I do each day is to give gratitude for just one good thing that happened that day. I was taught this many years ago by a fellow who published a newsletter that I subscribed to.. It rung true and have used that principle for many years since. Take care and thanks again for having an awesome channel where even older guys like me can pick up a few tips here and there. The learning never ends.

  All these comments are very u inspiring, thanks everyone for sharing because they can give many people hope. I’m also going through my rock bottom with my wife and two kids. My life two months ago was as good as it gets and now it’s something I never imagined. It’s time to rebuild and start from scratch. Many blessings to everyone and I hope everyone reaches happiness.

  I'm going through my mid life crisis now. I've tried to deal with it in a healthy way. I'm trying to improve myself and to do stuff I didn't get to do...but it is not helping. It just makes me even more sad. I still feel stuck in this mundane life. And I cannot shake the regrets of the my past. It's not that I made bad decisions but I didn't get a fair chance. I grew up poor and with a very abusive family. My father constantly beat me and he tortured me emotionally. As a result, my youth was spent alone, dealing with and trying to overcome anger and depression. And when that didn't work, the only option was escaping into games or movies for years on end. There was no way I could have went out into the world and had fun, meet people, date girls, make friends, develop skills, and experience life like most healthy, young people do. I wish I could get that time back and go down a different path instead of the sad, lonely, painful path that was handed to me.

  Thanks John for including me in your video. A little story about the white sneakers. I had always wanted a pair but wasn't prepared to pay the hefty price tag . So with patience and perseverance I finally found a practically new pair of white leather sneakers at Goodwill for $6:99 . My kind of price.✌

  Legend! The photos that were not AI, just really high quality photos. You can't lean like he did in AI. I really liked pics of the older gentlemen as I have issues with trying to figure out clothing. Just wish I could wear a sports jacket in the summer without getting heat exhaustion.   I can certainly vouch for this. The first time a woman commented on my mirror-shined shoes, I thanked her and shrugged it off as an unusual thing for someone to notice… until it happened again and again. My grandmother always said you can judge a man by the condition of his shoes. As well as keeping them properly polished, it also means keeping them in a good state of repair.

  Yes to manicure /pedicures. Not only does it feel good, it’s an important part of how you present yourself to others. Trim eyebrows as well. Keeps it tidy . I’m also an older guy.

  True what you say......got to live life n be true to yourself.....n not give a hood for validation......when you hit 60....you think about death....n then you are stuck in a way.....so got to move fast as life is short...not knowing what's around the corner....good or bad....got to put on your thinking cap n solve what's making you stuck.....I also believe some things are meant to be...n some not......clock ticking....thanks .
