Eventually I'm going to set it up so it has reverse also. It still needs a new flat belt, currently I'm using a belt on it that my dad use to wear around his waist to hold up his pants but it works good lol. I was going to get rid of this old drill press when I moved but I'm glad I didn't. It belonged to my Great grandfather who used the crap out of it, then given to my dad and he gave it to me. That is my biggest concern about painting myself, is using the right hardeners/etc. I hear there is a TON of tribal knowledge there and experience really matters. Of which I have none :)
@junkerjason763710 жыл бұрын
It's pretty simple really; if it's cold use faster solvents and hardeners, if it's hot use slow solvents and hardeners, If it's decent weather use medium stuff. I would recommend waiting to buy your materials until you're ready to spray it so you don't end up with the wrong stuff on the shelf when it comes to spray day. The stuff I sprayed was good for weather in the 65 to 75 degree range, not good for 85 degrees and humid.

Painting is pretty simple to get decent results once you get the basic stuff figured out and of course using the correct materials for the job. I will do a final video with the HD camera once the truck is "finished" to show and explain what happened with the paint and why it happened. It does look a lot better in the video than it does in person.
