  I just tried this, and it says my front left wheel is going 410983k/h while I'm stopped. I know there's a conversion rate to mph, but I feel like that's kinda fast.😂😂

  @@user-bo6wr8xk4k there is no need to reset for the air filter. If you have a service light for oil change please see one of my older videos where I show you how to change the oil and reset it from the gauge clister.

  Thanks for posting this it was very helpful. For anyone doing this in future it is possible to remove all 3 nuts for the light without removing the plastic trim - I managed with a small 8mm spanner and some patience

  I had a bunch of issuse with the locks and window regulators on the new doors. I think it needs re-coding to the car, but I just took the locks and window regulators from the old door and put them in the new one.

  You should have pushed the V5 issue; not displaying your middle name should not be an issue whatsoever. If your forename and surname match, that's all you need, especially as your address will have matched too.

  All I had stom tesla was a message that said error with the ownership doccument. So I assumed it was the name.

  If error codes existed at the point of sale, the dealer has an obligation to fix them, you have 6 month consumer rights when buying a car from a dealer.

  Great insight! Currently Teslas are so cheap that it would be a crime not to get one, the only thing stopping me is the ridiculous insurance cost. I am getting quotes over £2000K which is £1300 more than what I am paying currently. Do you have tips or did you just went with it?

  It depends where you live. I got my insurance lowered by havin a multy car deal. I have a diesel car I owned for 8 years and I added the tesla as a second car with Admiral insurance. It costs less than £900 for both cars.

  I can feel your pain. That is the only reason stopping me in getting a tesla. When financing one I am forced to get a Vollkasko (Full Casco) insurance, which costs for me (with 4 years history without any accidents) starting at 3000€!!! That is half the monthly price I would need to pay for the car itself.

  @@EdwudBoss seems about right. The insurance for the VW ID3 is about half the price of the Tesla insurance.

  Instead, with used petrol or diesel cars you have an entire bucket of "common issues", with some cars failing apart at specific mileages. Not to mention the cost service for any of those petrol cars when the mileage is above 100k km. IDK how about in UK, but in Germany car service is insanely expensive, especially when you go to the official dealership. Audi charged me 871€ for just an oil change plus some kind of routine inspection (which didn't include changing some parts or anything else).

  I agree with you, there's a mountain of common problems with just about any car. Just googled one of the most popular cars on the market, the 2024 Kia Sportage, and was greeted with a dozen Reddit threads and forums posts about overheating engines, electrical issues, leaks, uneven brake wear etc. This isn't meant to excuse the issues you've had with your Tesla of course but it does help to put it into context.

  I agree that all cars have faults. And I try and point out the faults of all the cars I work on. I do as much car maintenance as I can without taking to a mechanoc. I feel confortable working on petrol or diesel cars because I have been doing it for years, but not yet confortable working on electric cars. So for me it is a bit more expensive maintaining the electric car, but i will start working on it once the warranty is out.

  these DC problems are not common at all, I never heard of it as I am a very active user of Tesla Motor Club forum, and the rest of the problems are very Personal, so I do not find your video informative at all.

  I have done a google search for my DC fast charging error and I have seen a few posts about it. All sorted by tesla warranty. And the technician definetly said it is common. It just needs the HV charging cable replacing.

  I'm about to get a Volvo EX40 through my employer's car scheme. It comes with a home charger installation and my employer has plenty of chargers at every single one of the locations. I work for an electricity DNO, so it makes life easier for that! The infrastructure is getting better but it's not quite up to the standards as Central Europe has.

  I uswd the 3kw charger that comes with the car but I could not get it chatged from 20% to 80% over night. And I need to be able to do that a couple of times a week.

  Helpful tip. If the left signal or angel light or adaptive headlight generate errors, the water has impacted the TMS module under the light. You can remove the wheel and cover in the wheel well to replace it. $60 on Amazon for a 2012 535i. It does require resetting with an Autel unit but it’s really easy.

  One of the issues with dealer used Teslas is certainly the lack of knowledge they have. I experienced several of the same issues when i purchased our second Model 3. Partly lack of knowledge, partly lack of attention to detail. Get past that and the ownership experience is generally fantastic.

  Agree, Dealers dont yet know how to read the fault codes or do any repairs. As the new owner I had to sort out the repairs with Tesla and waiting for a refund from the dealer (if ot ever comes)

  everything in life takes longer and is more difficult than we think it’s going to be. it’s okay, we experience trials and tribulations, and we get thru it. we don’t publish videos crying about it, and telling people it’s better to pollute the world with more diesel combustion. you will benefit from owning the tesla in the long run. you will save a lot of money and enjoy the smooth high tech nature of your new auto. relax… and thanks for being considerate to the earth by having solar and driving an EV.

  All I was trying to do is show that it is not all sunshine and rainbows. I am sorting out all the problems and will follow up with a video, but so far it has been a more stressfull and time consuming purchase than I expected. Once I charge from solar it will be a fantastic way to get free motoring.

  Why do you have to wait for Tesla to give up ownership? I bought a used Tesla last month. I called Tesla, sent them a picture of my temporary tag that I got at the dealer and they transferred it to me 5 minutes later.

  In the UK I called Tesla and I was told I need to wait for the V5C doccument which takes about 5 days to receive. Once received I had to apply on the app, and 2 days later my application was rejected. It has now been sorted but it took over a week.

  Well, Tesla would not even hep book a service because "computer says no". I have proof of purchase of the car but they dont accept that as proof of ownership. When did car maker have so mich control over the cars? Do I even own this car if they have the power to switch it off when they want to.

  Google translate was not very helpful, but it sounds like the music stops when the cars starts moving. The only reason I can think of is the battery. if the battery voltage is lower than the minimum requirement for the sound system, it will stop. So I would try an new battery.

  Picked up a red Joymor jeep 12v7ah. I charged it overnight. On the dash it’s reading 13v but when I press the pedal it goes down to 8v and doesn’t move. Does that seem like a battery , motor or pedal switch?

  I would say it's likely the battery, but if you have anything else you could power with the battery to see if it has any power it would help you rule out a potential shortage in the pedal/motors.

  It did not cure the issue. It was the bearing on the other side that cured it.

  I used a small screwdriver and pushed it in where the clips are. Once you manage to get 2 of the clips out the resy come out easy.

  You will definitely need a mustimeter to check where you are loosing the voltage signal. Without that it is difficult to tell. there is a controller in the car that sends power to the lights/motors/music, and it seems that may be your problem.

  It depends. The motors will be fine, but if you have the controller for tje remote or the music player, they will not survive long.
