The Order of the Green Hand
Our Channel features in-depth ASOIAF / A Song of Ice and Fire theories, based exclusively on text evidence, quotes from George RR Martin and a little outside research, as well as some pretty sarcastic Game of Thrones reviews

Her story was botched she was a babe in the woods and woke up one day as a played of the game. There was no intermediate phase of her story. Everyone else had to learn struggle and we see their progression. Sansa is useless and just a pawn until the battle of the Bastards she is propped up as this smart character that is the reason the North is won. She just neglected to tell John she had a spare army lying around and proceeds to let hundreds of Northmen and Wildlings die needlessly.
She’s the worst part of everything she’s learned
I’m not sure how she thinks she’s the best ruler from the few times Cersei portrayed herself to be and talked to Sansa.
Lets call them dum & dumber please..
i miss updates from this channel
They know they are sacrificing but they don’t know that the boys become others
Hey all! Looks like George R.R. Martin is going to be on a livestream 2 August, to discuss his work and the art of fantasy writing. There will be fan questions about his upcoming work and his writing process generally. The event is going to be hosted at The Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford, 18:00 - 19:00 local time. There’s a livestream link is available on the events page of the Oxford Writers House. Check it out!
Miss you guys
I've heard so many people complain that if Tyrion actually is a Targaryen it would ruin the entire Tywin/Tyrion story arc because if Tywin's suspicions about Tyrion's parentage were correct his mistreatment of him would be justified. I think it makes perfect sense that Tywin acted as he did and also reveals his critical weakness. If he had killed Tyrion at birth or disowned him later he would have basically confirmed that he believed Tyrion was Aery's son. But his arrogance and ego wouldn't allow him to admit to himself or anyone else that HIS wife died giving birth to another man's son. He always claimed Tyrion as his son publicly because in his mind it was better to be the father of a dwarf than a cuckold. He never expressed his doubts to anyone other than Tyrion, and only then because he wanted to punish him. I think he was more angry at himself for allowing the lie to stand than he was at Tyrion. He wanted Tyrion dead but was too concerned about his precious image to do it himself, so he kept putting Tyrion in situations where he was likely be killed. He had employed this tactic many times as a way of ridding himself of his enemies while keeping his own hands clean. The problem was that Tryion somehow always managed to survive. Tywin wouldn't allow anyone in the immediate family (i.e. Cersei, Joffrey) to summarily execute Tyrion because everyone knew he was the real power behind the Lannister family and would have assumed the order came from him. I think he would have allowed Tyrion to take the black just to prop up the illusion that he was extending lenancy to his son. His fatal mistake was underestimating Tyrion. Fans often argue that Tyrion must be Tywin's son because he's most like him. While I agree with the resemblance I see it more as a case of nurture winning out o 36:09 ver nature. Not only is Tyrion the most intelligent of the Lannister children by far, he is also the one most invested in winning Tywin's favor. It just makes sense that he would have spent more time disecting Tywin's behavior and trying to emulate him. I find it very poetic that the one enemy Tywin was unwilling to dispatch ruthlessly is the one responsible for his ultimate death and downfall.
Also where did Dragonstone come from also the Celtigars were Valerian and they were here and one or two other families of Valerian blood
Sheep & dogs. Life is life
Crazy, how did i become unsubscribed to your channel. 🫠
Wait. I thought Daenerys was the princess that was promised.
Danny sacrificed what she loved most, her son, husband, and the witch. Three deaths for three lives (dragons). Only death can pay for life.
I miss the order of the green hand❤❤❤
Could Benjen be Daario? Knowing about the whole prophecy thing from R and L, trying to birth a savior with Daenerys?
I just watched the intro, so it's obviously Tyrion who was a time traveling fetus
Typing Lannister used treachery and dishonor to raise his house.
The “Sept Beyond the Sea” in Braavos is close to the house of black and white and its name sounds like it’s the only one.
Rhaegar crowning Lyanna at Harrenhal has to be the purest *[Everyone disliked that.]* moment in all of fiction.
I'm with Maryellen on this one.
22:45 was that a toilet I heard? Love the videos y'all!
Hands down the most tinfoil theory I have come across so far 😅😂
something sketchy is up with drogo. why he have a mance?! with murals of the doom of valyria?! and rich important people in said mance.... i think drogos mother is the answer. he is probably only half dothraki.....
How did the Starks crypts have Iron swords? And their crown for the King of Winter was infused with Iron. Did the Starks cut a deal with Andals for advanced metallurgy? This is how they took down the Warg Kings and Bostons.
“Common Tongue” of Westeros is Andalos/English. By that logic, everything we read in the world book is written by Andals so it’s all fabricated. They caused the long night. White walkers hate iron. Andals brought iron to Westeros. They killed the COTF and messed up whatever equilibrium the world had before the long night. Now the weirwoods are dead and the seasons inconsistent.
As someone who is from Nordic Europe but doesn't like our way of life very much, The Starks always represented those values to me. Backwards attitudes, open racism and ideology that goes "we've always done things this way, no need to ever change them". The way the Northerners treated foreigners and how suspicious they were based on race alone always pissed me off, but it is a topic that always gets brushed off as "they had a good reason to do X", when they really did not. Even if on occasion they might've been right to not trust on someone it wasn't based on anything else but racism. That's why the last season especially pissed me off. From the first season i thought ok they're a cute and a little backwards family but I'm sure they will change attitudes and grow as people as things get going. But the opposite happened. Foreign bad, North good. Very disappointing.
I don't know if George is actually racist himself or maybe he just idolizes us so much he thinks northern Europeans are superior but he should really look into it. We lead the polls for most happy people but the reality is not so. We just don't like to complain and that's something we are taught from very early age. That doesn't equal happiness. If anything we make ourselves miserable by not being able to vent out the issues we have because "back in my day we only had this little so you should be happy with what you have now". We also lead the self destruct statistics. Like right there in top 5 all of us.
God it's impossible to fall asleep to these lore videos when the voice is as annoying as yours.
The giants waking in the earth being the Others makes no sense, and isn't suppoted in the text at all.
Less than 5 mins and you already are making it an effing Jesus story - again. Hard pass. 👎
Way way way way too much leaning on Christianity here . Just like the nonstop bs about the evil third eye. Becoming a serious turn-off. It wouldn't be so bad if you were not so clearly biased, but you have to make everything about Jesus and Satan all the time. Even when it clearly is about spiritual systems far far far older. When you do dip a toe in these ancient ideas, you twist them into being "satanic". Each new video seems to be more hopelessly biased and ignorant about anything outside the Vatican.
Earlier in the book, when Ned tells her she has to stay in Winterfell, and she freaks out about not being able to see and touch him again - I think she was thinking of Littlefinger. I think she thought she was going to be with him in King's Landing, where they would get their daughter, Sansa, made Queen. When she beats them to King's Landing, she spends a few days with Littlefinger, but doesn't even seem interested in intimacy with Ned. So Ned obviously wasn't who she wanted to "see and touch" again.
As a South Asian, let me tell you, you cannot dread Tigers enough, they are the true Kings of the Jungle.
The Order of the Green Hand is accurate in this theory it seems.
I feel a bit of context is being missed, by emphasizing the spiritual risk of enlightenment. You are correct, but this doesn't mean one should always avoid the pursuit of enlightenment. Those able to consciously open the thirdeye would be tempted by demons, but could not be harmed so long as they kept faith. Every mystic of every faith has always faced these demonic temptations as a test or trap, often in a continuous way. Jesus is also known to have been tempted in almost the exact same way as the Buddha described, which was the same as many mystics from Santana Dharma, Vodun, and druidism before him. Islam also warns of the increased temptation which comes with enlightenment. Each spiritual abode also exists in the body, as chakras - which the third eye is part of. To master the third eye, all other chakras must first be navigated. This is often described as a maze, because each of these spiritual "rooms" has specific spiritual traps for those not wise enough. The water chakra might ensnare with lust, the riches of the crystal caverns might bind you to the material realm with greed. Each of these rooms is also associated with a color, which Arthurian legend, Poe, Lovecraft, and GRRM all make conscious use of.
The Greatest story tellers sometimes fill their stories with symbols that have many meanings, all correct, yet all in sync. GRRM is one such storyteller.
Why would she travel back to the north by land? Its the slowest an most dangerous way back. She should have gone by boat but then these no war.
Yeah uh....Never has Sansa wanted to be a ' queen at all costs especially the cost of her family dying ' what show / books are people watching / reading lol poor girl says she wants to birth Prince babies and it suddenly makes her power hungry 😂
Im glad he was bad at measurements, the wall is awesome being like a modern skyscraper
Little Finger tells Sansa, she must lie even in her own mind. Catelyn is the result of this long-term conditioning.
Bran saw dragons. The readon it was Asshyi is GRRM said he originally had planned on Danni going there, but then changed his mind acter writing this, and sent her there in a vision instead of physically.
It's laughable that in a world where betrothals are commonplace and considered a duty, it would be necessary that a couple would need an extended period of time to fall in love and marry.
Robert and Cerci are perfect for each other. It kills me every time I hear him pour out sympathy for Robert.
Would it be normal for The King's Justice to travel with the King? It seems possible, but still curious. Especially with the wording "it was the other one".
She doesn't simply fight him off, she wargs Bran's wolf without realizing it. This is a huge clue, because it answers how Sansa is a warg, and also Little Finger's bastard.
Still far too kind to Robert. He was never a decent person. Rather, he is a benevolent narcissist - like someone might be a happy drunk. He was always only a conqueror. He is hungup on the woman who didn't want him, and is beyond his reach.

A lot of words and even names are mispronounced at times in the audiobooks
George is very picky about the art, and has given specific instructions about things to artists. I have to imagine he'd have said something, if he didnt like the moonlight glow. I do think you had that correct, it is moonlight.
Absolutely think you're correct - he thought the experienced rangers were both lazy (because he is a classist bigot) and also playing a prank in him, to haze him in front of the rest of the brothers.
