    My NinjaTunes kit is arriving in 2-3 weeks. Can you guide me to some place where I could get those 3D printed mounting brackets and such? The ones I find are for the main back plate, but I'd like to install most things into the shell and not on the backplate. Also, what's the speaker model and size? Thanks in advance!

  • @nickg666

    The files to mount them to the shell side are also in the q pack files. I don't remember where, but I promise they're in there. The speaker is a 6.5 inch Kicker. There's an amazon link to it somewhere further down in the comments. There's a whole thread about the speaker. It's a little spendy but it's sooooo worth it

    Yes, mine is all 3d printed. It should actually install a little easier into a BOK shells. I have to follow specific wire channels for mine. Your's will give you a bit more freedom. My one recommendation would be to not over build your wand until you have the kit in hand. The wand almost needs to be built around the electronics kit. I'm surprised there aren't more videos talking about what a rip-off his packs are. I see one video on youtube that essentially spends the whole time fellating Video Bob with praise... I don't buy his lineage story, either. Looking at his shell, it does not have any of the tell tale details of anything with screen lineage (texture, tool marks, visible nails, etc.). But as has been said, the fact that he charges $3500+ and uses a Hasbro wand is obscene. Then, to hear him go on and on about how good that wand is. Is it good for a toy? For sure. Is it good for an item that was $3500? Nope. For that price, that thing should be custom made aluminum. My pack is incredibly accurate (down to a screen accurate pop mech and "blow out" special effect bulb) and didn't cost anywhere near that much. He attracts people who A. have money to burn, and B. don't know any better.

  • @nickg666
    @nickg66610 ай бұрын

    His claimed lineage is actually from the old Universal Studio park attraction, not one of the films. Regardless, his packs are still hot garbage for $3,500. I could see $1,200 being a more reasonable price for what's actually in it

  • @ebobhazard
    @ebobhazard10 ай бұрын

    @@nickg666 right, which good 'ol little Bobby does say, but he also says there's lineage of those Universal packs to a GB2 (I think) semi-hero. And maybe those Univeraal Studios packs had a lot of clean up done to them, but I thought the GB2 packs we cast off the GB1 Superhero which had a TON of wonkiness to it. So even if there is some far-removed lineage to the screen used packs, it has been thoroughly washed away by now.

    This would fit a haslab pack with some modifications and you would need to probably build a wand. I don't what your skill level is for modding, but it could totally be done. And yes, there is an Afterlife option. It requires an extra board for the Ninjatunes kit and an LED ring from Amazon. If you're looking to use the Spengler wand, you may want to look into the GBFANS kit instead. I'm not an expert on that kit, but I know it has an interface available for the Spengler wand. If that's the route you want to go, I would join the gbfans Facebook group and ask some questions. Like I said, my knowledge on that kit is limited All that said, I'd build a new wand and use this kit with the Afterlife add on

  • @nickg666

    Yes it would be able to fit in the haslab pack, but I really don't think it would be able to interface with the Spengler wand's existing electronics. I know people have done it with the gbfans kit, but I don't have any personal knowledge of what's involved. The NJT kit is a bit better than the gbfans kit as far as features, but I think the gbfans kit has more modular options. Honestly, if it were me, I would just build a wand instead of using the Spengler one. It's a cool shelf piece but it doesn't look as good or feel as good in hand as one of my printed ones. I understand building isn't for everybody though. If you want to try and use the Spengler wand, I would look into the gbfans kit.

The extra volume of the 5 Plus just makes it so that you can do the Cyclotron, Booster tube, and Booster box as single prints with no seams. This can totally be done on an Ender 3 or something of comparable size though. You'll just have to use some fillers to hide the seams
