    *This is a great sawSnapper It's powerful,🌼 **allabout.wiki/Wolf** easy to use, and has a lot of great features that make it safer for a homeowner to use, such as the compression release, chain brake, and choke that sets the throttle to idle up when starting. The chain is easy to adjust. The engine has a lot of horsepower and torque for cutting big sections of wood quickly. You cannot bog this saw down unless it gets pinched. But that's true of nearly every saw.*

    It was probably getting vapor lock. If it sits in the sun for a period of time after running, the gas in the tank will boil if you open it. I was cutting with my ms 660 and ms 360 and it was hot and I had been cutting some hard hickory and the tanks were getting empty, so I opened them up to refill them and the remaining gas puked all over the saw. I fill d them back up with cool gas and they cranked back up.

    On par with Stihl Husqvarna but much better value for money. Little bit more weight per hp but with that it's probably more reliable which is what brought me to dolmar/makita in the first place. My logic goea like this if it weighs a pound or two heavier but its built like a little tank i will take it over a lighter more power per weight saw every time. I own this saw and two others, i run 16" bar and mostly cut firewood and trees now and then but nothing huge and this saw is a beauty. I also have Stihl Ms211 with 16" and Husqvarna 550xp mk 2 with 18" bar, all stock apart from detune on this Makita, i heard factory lean set and cat muffler can cause problems, other than that brilliant saw, reliable, good value, good reputable brand.

    I think in the case of this saw it may pass stihl and husky on some aspects. Quality wise it is built very well. Power wise it is just fine, just not as rabid as the 550. Mine wears a 20" bar and doesn't seem to mind. I have a 261 at my new job, and I think I prefer the dolmar/makita. I would buy it again before the 550/261.

  • @Cuttingwithcronkito
    @Cuttingwithcronkito4 жыл бұрын

    Glad that worked for you! Maybe Husqvarna shipped some saws with bad purge bulbs? That was our thoughts anyways. We tried the gas cap trick first with no luck... The boss has had much better luck with Echo, at least for smaller saws. I went with a Dolmar/Makita, very happy with it.

  • @captainsledge7554
    @captainsledge75544 жыл бұрын

    Makita/Dolmar is a good saw. But husky has alot more power. Idk what year you had but i do know that you can buy a box of 100 purge bulbs and 50 will be bad. So that is one issue. While also the older firmware from the first few models was fairly new so they were working out kinks. Ive not had an issue with any of the new ones. No issues at all. They update firmware once ever 6 months to a year. Even the newest firmware adds power and torque. Also new top covers are vented. I forgot to mention that. Husky fixed that issue as well. Stihl has gone to hell with the new emmission standards. I don't sell them anymore because i got tired of every single one of them having engine issues within a month. Holes in pistons, running too lean, detonation etc. Avoid stihl until epa lays off or they introduce fuel injection to all of them.

    I just bought my 562XPW today bought the 24” Sugi Hara bar and the C 85 X Cut chains. Its a 2019 model year I’m hoping that Husqvarna worked out the kinks, I still hear the air filter seal is not good I was thinking about using an O ring or soft draft tape, I see some grease the area before putting on the air filter and some say use oil spray too on the filter, wish they had gone with the center screw car like filter on the 572XP seems far more up to date. Anyway she sure does look fantastic new especially with the Sugi lol. Thanks guys.

    Yes I noticed that it builds up tank pressure, which could cause it to flood if left to stand. I changed the metering diaphragm on my 560 (see my video.), as the old one had gone very stiff and was either on or off, with no suppleness left in the rubber. This could have been caused by using ethanol fuel.

    One of the reasons I bought this over the 501 is the ability to switch between .325 and 3/8. This one can wear a husky small mount bar with no modifications. Apparently the echo oiler is in a different spot and the husky bar would need drilled for it to oil. That being said, the boss has switched to echo for all his smaller saws.

The 550 is even worse than the 562 in that aspect, at least ours are. I suspect a lot of the problem is that they are so compact that there's a lot of heat transfer from the cylinder to the air box.
