My name is Cole and i'm an existential mess ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
This channel is a weekly-ish journal that I keep so that I can look back on my progress in life, while forming a community in the process. I am a polyamorous, goth, motorcycle loving, film student at the University of Arizona, and I love to confuse strangers about my gender.
If you relate to any of this or just wanna watch me be a buffoon, please subscribe!

Everyone isn't going to be shocked. That shouldn't expected. Everyone has experienced things in life that'll influence how they see things. Even from a creative point. Just something to keep in mind. Nice to see a film professor break things down. Wasn't boring at all. Thumbs up!
That's my former Film teacher Loomis. He made a movie too. Where was this? I doubt this was at the Art Institute
Pima community college in AZ! He's made a few movies now, two released and one unreleased (which was my personal fave tbh)
wow he really broke this down...a real professor
Cool video! I don't know anything about the technical aspect of film, but it was really interesting to me!
I wanna take his class
Not Jordan Peele but still great analysis
He’s chilling
No lie I was a little hurt when he didn’t react but as soon as he starting talking and teaching I understood why. He did an awesome job and i understood everything he said. Awesome job!!!!!
It really does act more of a short film set to music rather than any old music video. I never thought of it that way before. Guess that's why he's the teacher, huh?
The guy at the beginning playing the guitar is Trayvon Martin's father. EDIT: I did a bit of research, he is NOT his father.
Thank you SO, so much for posting this. It's almost as good as if I was to participate in this class! 🖤
I LOVE IT
ok
This video is awesome
You've done a really great service in recording and posting this for other people. Thanks a ton!
Trash talks about fucking camera lenses for 20 minutes
.... That's typically what a breakdown of cinematography is... But what do i know 🤷🏻♀️

This is america thank you Gambino you are a genius for sure lol true hurts 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💘💘💞💥💥💥💥😘
This was really interesting, even though I know nothing about film, I could comprehend a lot of his explanations! I also like that he didn't react while watching, sometimes these reaction videos are so focused on showing us their reaction that the people making them miss important nuances, especially in a video like this. If someone shows me a video or a song and wants to know what I think, I'm immersed in it trying to catch every detail and take it in as a whole as the artist intended. Then I'll go back to parts that I need more clarification on and rewatch/relisten. I'd be a really boring reaction channel, though, I guess.
Here’s the reality he chuckled because he was already thinking the choir was going to get killed, As a Mexican that has lived in West Virginia for almost 12 years I grew up in white culture and tend to know white humor very well. This is a clear indication of that :). All love one race the Human Race.
THIS NIGGA KNOWS HIS SHYYYT! DAMN !!
Thank you for this video and good luck in your career.
Professor⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😷🙏🤙🩴
Sub, please.
I would love to see what he thinks about Gambino's video for Sweatpants! Another brilliant music video!
I think Donald glover (childish gambino) directed the whole video
Its called Juxtaposition and its to highlight obviously the media and entertainment distractions from violence and racism.
I liked his smiles while watching. He defo appreciated that.
Is this about you? Or him?
Oh man i was in film school a couple years ago and this brought me back
If you know the lingo of what he’s talking about this is a really interesting a deep lesson of technics, a lot of film school is just sitting there and breaking it down backwards “how did they do that”
This is such a good video!! Thank you for sharing
This is so cool! He’s totally into the narrative and meaning of the piece and he totally wants you to know that, but he doesn’t force anybody’s opinion.
May, 24th 2021. Just chiming in to wish you good luck since your should be graduating soon (based on what you said on the video maybe you already graduated!)
Thank you so much 🥺 sadly I ended up not going back after that semester. I have a year left to complete but classes got canceled in person for a semester and by then I had decided to move to another state! I'm hopeful to work with Loomis again in the future one day tho! And I do have plans for film projects in the future although I no longer intend to go into the film industry as a career. Thank you for the well wishes and kindness 💛🧡
I feel like i bothered you by watching this video !😕😕😕
Loved his break down. Thank you for the video!
I agree that it’s a perfect music video and is also like a short film. There are so many layers of meaning and areas of focus you need several rewatches. Even then without context so much goes by some people but everyone comes away with the over all sense of what it means. I love watching reactions to it (this guy didn’t give much away) but in general people are relaxed and bopping and the gunshot snaps them out of it. It’s amazing to see them sit up and realise something else is happening here.
You don't even know how much I'm into you. You are very mysterious and lovely. All things aside, great content but you know there's always a possibility of betterment. Stay happy dear 💗
Que alguien lo suptitule al español
So I googled who directed the video when the class talked about it. It's Hiro Murai. Of course it's Hiro Murai
i woulda stabbed whoever messing with their backpack for 4 minutes
Trust me I wanted to 😅🙌
I miss good teachers,
I love that he also made it a teaching moment as well, asking students questions. I wonder what the symbolism of (so many) cars means in this video
I haven't followed up on it but my Step-Dad said they were all models that used to made in the US but of course are not anymore.
My understanding is that they are all meant to represent black people who were brutalized or killed by police, including Rodney King's 1987 Hyundai Excel. Most of the cars still have their blinkers on as they would've been left after being pulled over.
I think its be in contrast to other music videos. Where the main star of the video is surrounded by luxury cars and women. Whereas here he is surrounded by old 'junk' cars.
@@meghanmonroe 🤯
Its also in India the only difference is brown skin
Great teacher !!!
That's not jordan peele, if you arent aware by this point. Does have a resemblance though!
Samuel Loomis??????????????
In the beginning of the video, it's like the choir is singing Kkkkkkkkk go go gooo
I KNOW IM LATE BUT HE SHOULD REACT TO RUNAWAY BY KANYE WEST
I've heard a lot of analysis about the messages in the video, but never anything about the filmography of the video - so this was really cool to hear!
sober music video is another rly cool music video by those two
