My buddy just got this a few months, the engraving is even more impressive in person!
Wow that's some beautiful engraving.
Stunning 😍
hello sir im from India...i have 12 guage shotgun Single barell ...i wna fit a rail on my barell head above chamber ,but the problem is that barell dont have any srews holes so how can i fit rail for scope any other method i mean like to weld rail or use adhesive or something
Hi, thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately there are limited options for attaching a rail to a shotgun rib without modification. We don't have anything which would be suitable, but there are options out there. A common solution is a clamping system which clamps onto the rib rather than drilling the rib for screws. But these clamping mounts do tend to be for Red Dot Sights rather than full scopes.
@@alanrhonemedia Actully thats my grandfather ancestrl shotgun 32 inch barell 70mm ... i modied it with flashlight ,coldblueing and wooden pu polish sling and much much ... i stuck in this scope issue bcse dont have screws for that .i go hog hunts with this using slugs .... but i wna scope .... let me see any gunsmith who help me ...i knoe abt red dots with mount .... if u have any sugeestn for that (scope) kindly infom me ..thanks dude
Great info, just wish that ring makers all showed their Hight from mounting base to low inside ring dimension. 👍👍
Thanks Dave! This was an excellent tutorial,
Have you tried in practice, to set the mount back instead of forward...? I just noticed the scopes on my Remington, was sliding backwards, not forwards... It is a .338 Lapua.. It does not make sense to me, but although it happens with multiple scopes and bases.. On my smaller caliber rifles it does not creap back, but maybe the mount is holding up then...
THANK YOU

wish id watched this 2 weeks ago, before fitting my new scope!
very useful your channel, thanks!
Great video thanks. Simple and can use it on my new set up.
Hello! I have an classic modell and my triggerweight screw ( the top one) is strange in the thread .About 1/3 to half of the length has a very weak thread with a less diameter is that right? That means with about 1 kg it is just about 2 threads of the wider part in trigger housing. Thanks for a great channel! Kindly Anders ,Sweden.
Hi, I've consulted with our in-house gunmaker and he says this is normal for the Classic rifle.
Presne takto sa to robiť nemá. Amatér.
Still for sale? Whats the pricetag?
Hi, this one has been sold toward the end of last year. It's a stunning piece of art and definitely one of a kind, but I don't think this is the Krieghoff we see engraved by this engraver, as she has in fact produced the Krieghoff Gun of the Year 2024 and I'm sure there will be more to come from her.
Is this being done in the US market? On new guns is this already in place? On older (mine is 2012) is being done in the US in annual service if requested or by default?
Here in the UK, the newer gun are coming through with it already installed as standard. But older guns can be retrofitted with the new system. This is done as an additional job and is offered when we have a gun in for service as it makes sense to do it once the gun is apart, but it can be done as a stand alone job for sure.
Krieghoff is one of the highest quality shotguns ever produced and also one of the most expensive. Many people aspire to own them. Kreighoff also uses the world’s top shotgun engravers such as G. Stoegner (aka G. Stogner) who has created 7 Krieghoff “Guns of the Year,” more than any engraver. Recently, a G. Stoegner gun sold for more than $100,000 US on the secondary market. The #2 Kreighoff engraver is Jana Schilling, whose 2009 Krieghoff Gun of the Year also sold for $110,000 US at Pacific Sporting Arms in February 2024 (call and ask them). Kreighoff shotguns are a good investment and store of value, like high end collectible cars - the better engravers almost always bring a financial premium when they are resold. Other top Krieghoff engravers are #3. Goeser, 4. Reich, 4. Nonn (tie), and 5. Creative Arts.

Best of….
If I had a nickel for every cock I could afford one.
alanrhone media can the .470 nitro express the spirits of Big five game (Lion hunting, Elephant hunting in Kenya, African buffalo, African leopard, and Black rhinoceros) possess the Krieghoff Classic "Big Five" Double Rifle in real life?
OMG thank you.
A video on how to change the wedges in the older style pro sporter would also be helpful.
Helpful
Glad it helped
Thank you so much. I just picked up a brand new Tikka T3X Creedmoor and the bolt is in the de cocked position and had me flummoxed as to how to fix it.
This was extremely helpful!! Thank you very much!!!!
How do I fit a bipod to the underside of my Anschutz Match 64 vintage 1974? Many thanks!
Great video Dave thanks Mate 👍👍
Thank you. Glad you liked it 👍
Absolutely stunning!! so many hours into that... 20+ easy I would assume 👌
Yes, I would say it's got to be about 20+ hours also. And that's working at that skill level and speed. An average engraver, probably double the time.
The man the myth the legend, Erwin! Top service from Mr Rhone and the team. Be in touch soon guys ❤️
His skill set and knowledge is unreal. Such a pleasure to work with him too.
@@alanrhonemedia grazie mille
Real skill but u need more editing
There's no editing needed. That's how the engravings are done... a quick snap of the fingers and it's done. Christmas magic!!
Just stunning work 👏
Totally agree! Thanks for the comment.
Absolutely beautiful workmanship
100% Agree!!
Stunning!
Wow
Nice bid Dave, and another stunner from Alan Rhone! Have great Xmas guys. Best in the business! ❤
Thanks very much! Have a great Christmas too!!
Im surprised you never mentioned the chokes
Hi, good point. But we're just covering the gun assembly on this video. We do have another video on barrels and choke tubes here - kzread.info/dash/bejne/lpis1pp9j9G5ntI.html
You apply oil to the chokes, not grease.
Here be dragons 🐉 stunning work!
Devils work 😀👍
Engraved by the devil himself... little known fact is that he dabbles in shotgun engraving 🤔
@@alanrhonemedia …and comes out when it is time to pay for his shenanigans 😈

Lose the stupid music. It's like in grade school they write the word macaroni using pasta...
No such thing as stupid music... only differences in peoples tastes. ...fair point about the engraving, but each to their own. It's not my #1 choice, but a few out there like it.
I own one in parcours X. Nothing to with Irish music.
I could have used this tip 3 weeks ago. Thanks
Ahhhh nightmare! I hope the knowledge is stored away in your head, in case you need it in the future 🤯
@@alanrhonemedia It definitely is now. Thank you
Thank you!!! It worked
You're welcome!
Yep just two screws away
So simple. A very clever idea!
how hard should I tighten the screws on a mauser m18, I have an aluminum picatinny rail. I want to use a torque screwdriver
Different manufacturers state different figures for their mounts. We've tended to use 2nm on the rail screws. And provided you use thread locker on the screws, they won't go anywhere. I hope this helps.
Great video. Do you have any information about adjusting the trigger on a Schultz&Larsen Model 70 or 77 .22 rimfire trigger?
Unfortunately not. We don't have any information on the older models like the Model 70 and 72. You may wish to contact Schultz & Larsen in Denmark to check whether they have any information. Their website is www.schultzlarsen.com
To each their own but not for me.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we've had plenty like it and a few not so sure on it. Good to know though!
You've plenty of lovely examples though :) out of interest at what level do we start getting fully hand-crafted?@@alanrhonemedia
Yes
She's a beauty! Truly one of a kind custom pattern.
I want to install on a 30 /30 Marlon , that needs drilled and threaded.
This may be a job for a gun smith or engineer. You can buy blank sections of picatinny rail which work well for custom fitting jobs. But the measurements of the holes drilled and countersinking need to be exact as the accuracy of the scope is only as good as the mounts.
