@@user-km4ck5jt9l its a modular landing gear pack. 1. choose which landing gear you want. 2. Cut out and delete the others 3. paste the one you like on your own creation. 4. add the control module and follow the instructions on it. now you have custom foldable landing gear on any ship you want

Genuine design, great work. Suspension is a nightmare in SE, but aesthetically very pleasing with this rover. Super clean attention to details, but for the love of god add the edgeless armour block mod, takes all those silly grey bars away. Will make it 2x as clean. Again, great build.

This is literally the best suspension I have worked with in SE. Always had trouble with the 1x1s phasing through the arm tho. I moved on to the rotor spring script on the hinges to fix that issue.

yeah, its a big issue when its got too much weight, not so much on a light model like this one. i tended to solve it with hinge limitations combined with rotor/hinge torque assisting the wheel suspension

You've created such a beautiful thing I do think that it has a higher fidelity than the models in the DoK game! It really is quite spectacular. I do also like the involvement of individual wheel suspension, I've always loved toying with such ideas, shame the game makes it difficult sometimes lol, can't wait for VRAGE 3, I'm sure it'll be spectacular there. I shall subscribe and await the full release!

How big is it? I really can't tell. Is is large grig and enourmous, or small grid large grid hybrid? Or small grid by with loads of mods? Definitely need a bit more strength on that suspension, but very cool.

@@thevoiceofreason937 If you want to do that, you can, but it can also be chopped down if you dont want 12 modules for a smaller ship, you could use it transport cargo to a moon, or to an asteroid base. its just a concept really, what you do with it would be up to each player

Only reason youd ned that would be if you have many different types of vessels docking in the same position, A sensor setup or a relay button would probably resolve it if it's the same ship coming in to dock

Ive tried this but the hinge heads get in the way if merging grids. How did you fix this

I'd reccomend downloading this and tearing it down. There's some black magic where the hinges are. Reason your having trouble is because no block can be merged inside another block. Example Having a single hinge would make the grid try to merge the hinge base and the hinge head in the same space, solution would be to have two hinges stacked, so there's a subgrid in between

Like give the backwheels more space between eachother? That's not how it's designed in the game tho (used 3d game model import as a reference) Since you mention it, what's the benefits/downsides?

@@Kennet0508 In this case, only because the middle suspension sometimes compresses but the rear doesn't, and the wheels collide. It's not a huge issue but a few times it looked like the rear wheels on one side or the other bind up. A few blocks more space between and they should clear I think.

Should try and set it up how bypass shocks work in off road racing. Sense your using rotors, you could use an event controller to stiffen the suspension at full droop, (tire off the ground) And as they approach full compression, to prevent bottoming out.

I have not played Space Engineers in a long time, but I'm glad to see stuff like this is still being made. The Baserunner is probably one of my favorite vehicles in video-games. Just that utilitarian, work-horse look is very appealing.

I can't this weekend, but definitely something I'll get around to. Meanwhile you can paste this blueprint and detach the merge block from one of the platform bays to steal a blueprint from there
