I too am getting ready to leave Stampin’ UP! as a longtime hobby demonstrator (I’m retired). I have fallen in love with die cutting and 3d embossing most of all, and have gone crazy for Honey Bee Lovely Layers flowers and Altenew’s craft-a-flower dies and embossing folders. There is so much out there. Consider Taylored Expressions or Gina K Designs ink pads, that also have coordinating card stock (100#)and envelopes. Lawn Fawn has the best specialty and textured card stock imho. All 3 of the companies offer free shipping with $50 order and additional free gifts for a little bit more. Excited for the new things. I am a SU hobby demonstrator so I buy from everywhere. Have you seen Scrappy Boy stamps and dies. They have a website and they have wonderful things.
After years of being a hobby demo, I left SU because I wasn’t seeing any products that I wanted or needed. I lost my interest in stamping all together and wasn’t meeting my quarterly requirements so gave it up.

Just getting one ink pad of each different brand is really smart. The paper and ink just aren’t that important. It’s the card composition and the fun stamps and dies, etc. that we really need to be shown. So glad you are brave enough to move into the BIG world of wonderful stamp companies!!!

Altenew inks are great and have super color families(firm pad and they smooth out nicely) as well as gina k inks and hero arts. I also have all of the simon pawsitively inks(foam pads)as well as concord and 9th. They all have a smoothing agent in them, so they smooth out and dry back nicely. Maybe try some ink cubes from different places (cheaper) and then make your decision. Simons pawsitively inks come in sets of three (or you can buy them single), but the 3 set groups ensure that you have a gradient ink family and take the guesswork out when stamp layering. I have in full size pads: stampin up (which i rarely use anymore as a lot of them have some weird gunky stuff on the foam pad), and my most used is full size simon pawsitively. For the other brands i mentioned, i just have the cubes as space would be an issue with so many full-size pads. I love gina k, concord, hero, spellbinders, and simon cardstock and love them all! As a side note, i love concord. Inks and cardstock color match, and i love the colors! In fact, my large order of cardstock just arrived yesterday! Oh Wendy, you are going to have so much fun in such a broad spectrum of supplies! Welcome to the bright side!

I'm new to your channel. Your announcement is what brought me to your channel. I'm excited and can't wait to see what you create with those papers you showed us. I also would be interested in see your set up. Always looking how to get more organized. You also asked us if we knew of any place to get Mexico themed stuff. How you every tried Scrapbook Superstation out of Butler, PA. Amy is the store owner who has been in business for 26 years. She recently started a website. It's a little slow in loading but she has all kinds of scrapbooking and card materials. I know she does different themes and have seen Mexican in her shop. How exciting! I love Lawn Fawn. I have many of their inks and love them. They even out after you stamp them, where SU does not have that property. You will find that many colors in each ink line across the companies are the same ink formula and exact same color, only with a different name. Enjoy the journey. I am excited to see what captures your interest as you branch out.

Absolutely share your re organization. I can't afford to replace all my SU inks and cardstock just yet. I'm getting large stamp sets from Gina K and Pink Fresh that won't fit in stamp cases. Any ideas are welcomed 🙂

Awesome haul!! I don’t know why but I am always on the hunt for the perfect ink blending tool. Why do I think I am in trouble with those blenders you showed? I am a hobby demo at the moment and have just this year started to spread my wings and buy from other companies. I still love Stampin up but I am discovering a whole new world.
