Great game! Fills in my operations fix between sessions at the club. Thank you!
How tf do you get gp9 dimensions so wrong
What engine is #18
When playing single player does the hole map need to be unlocked in order to dispatch?
You can purchase CTC as soon as you get to Bryson; it will be available for Bryson to Whittier.
@@railroader thank you 🙏 I just got the game and I can’t stop playing it, the team did a great job
You guys should make it so you can drop off loads a towns and the towns will gradually expand.
Recently downloaded and I'm liking it! Yesterday I play though 5 hours straight.
So. Whats it about. . Like how do you fail the game.
I grew up in Franklin, NC so seeing this go through Sylva and Dillsboro where I always went with friends, just makes me so happy :D
So, I was told to suggest this here, but I have two suggestions for future development. First, would be the addition of the EMD E and F series locomotives. I am kind of imagining building an express train from End to End with stops in a few locations like Bryson. Second would be to add the New York Central's 0-10-0's built by the MLW namingly 7190 and her sister 7191.
Anyone here. would they recommend this game to a new player?
I know I'm a month late but I started playing it and I can't stop
This was so dang helpfull, thank you, and what an amazing fun game ❤
Wonderful tutorial, I thought the L and R controls for the signals represented if they diverge left/right, but now I know!
this is game is way to much fun. Thanks
I DO HAVE THE THE GAME AND I LIKE IT
Adam can you think about adding the pacific class 38 and class 464 and class 460 and used on the Arthur's pass line the Kb class and j class and used in france the SNCF class 141p and SNCF class 251p and SNCF class 250 p
Hello, I am Uruguayan, and I wanted to ask you if one day your game will be translated into Spanish If you want you can answer me in English
We would like to one day!
Any plans for graphical updates? Lighting and textures and more world building, thinking of snowrunner stlye and level of density of plants and variation etc... right now it looks like 1 or 2 tree assets without much variation which takes away from the believability. Maybe getting more smaller bushes and different types of grass/wildflowers, with rocks and fallen trees. Again thinking of Snowrunner for the level of details. Game looks fun! But for me visual immerision is a main selling point, especially in 2024!.
Excellent video. Sorta sounds like a historic documentation movie from the time 🎉
It is actually based on one!
Can you ring the bell manually?
The CTC's bell? Or the engine's bells?
just wondering, are there any commands for sandbox mode to change the level of fuel or repair condition on a locomotive?
There are, yes!
Cool, do you know where I can find said commands?@@railroader
Is there going to be passengers added so you see them boarding and sitting inside the train cars or even people driving cars on the roads
We'd love to add those - time will tell!
Obviously the buttons on the lower corners of the board make labels (appropriately westbound and eastbound), but I can’t seem to figure out how to change the labels to read something besides question marks (such as making them say “EPass” or “SYBC”). And is there a way to delete those labels when not in use?
If you double-click on the label you can choose to edit the text or delete the marker. Hope this helps!
@@railroader Very much so! Thanks! I work on the real things by trade, but I technologically challenged by choice, so I’m not exactly computer savvy.
I need this game also is it multiplayer?
It is multiplayer and singleplayer, yes!
Can we please please please get a Wye at the station in Sylva? I hate running trains in reverse but I’m usually too busy to mess around with uncoupling my passenger trains loco, turning it around on the table and Dillsboro and coupling it on the appropriate end. A long Wye would be amazing
Just got the early access PC version a couple weeks ago. I’ve been spending waaaay too much time enjoying the living daylights out of it! Coming from a multi-generational railroad family, this gives me a bit of a connection to my predecessors. Looking forward to advancing through the game as time permits.
attention to the developer and the person that is live streaming this one turn up your volume because i can not hear you compare to the other live streamers another note your steam locomotive will not turn on the turntable and in person you should be able too another note on your signals they need to be reworked and the a i is being dumb try doing it in yard mode then automatically stop and goes i can hook cars up better than the a i at 5 mph get this fix
I havent gotten this far into the game yet but im confused how this works because all my train cars spawn in random orders in the interchange track and I have to build them in a specific order to deliver efficiently. So in single player I'd be bouncing between ctc view and yard switching super frequently I feel like
I don't have passengers AI (stop at the stations automatically as I see on KZreadr like Kerbo), don't understand why. Previous is set (I load new versions). May be I use Steam Italy? I don't find menù? The game is woooow, tnxs 🚂
If you are on the "previous" branch, that is probably the problem - set "Beta Participation" to "None".
How do u get ctc table?
In Company mode CTC is unlocked through a milestone in Railroader, after you extend your railroad to Bryson. (CTC is always available in Sandbox mode.)
Railroader, will it be ps5 Version people who got PlayStation
No. At this time Railroader will not be coming to consoles, due to the high cost of bringing them to those platforms.
railroader please be adviced check on your turn tables for the steam locomotives they will not aloud to turn the locomotive around the diesel loco are fine
You can turn every locomotive except for the B-65 on the turntables. Make sure you get them centered and they will turn!
Hi again Devs!! Hope you not get sour or angry after my peptalk here yesterday..!! -And I don´t mean litterally steal others ideas.. Because there is not so many more ideas to com up with in railsimulators these days, maybe a few if you have a bright idea left in your pocket.. -Anyway.. there is one thing for sure, and that is because there is a "real" competition now between rail-simulators.. maybe there is another one coming out tomorrow.. "And" if you really should succeed on the market.. you must have a WOW-factor, and it must stands out effectivly.. -And this is also true: -What the eye see.. is often what eye wants.. correct!? -And if it´s "real" nice at first glimt.. then you have the wow-thing.. But if it´s the same old.. hmm.. people look the other way maybe.. -And think.. I keep mine for now.. perhaps later, when they have developed more.. And that ofcouse since many games are in "Early Access" -And Im not alone to think this here!! -Believe me, I have tried all of trainsimulators by now.. "And" ..some stands out acording to graphics and effects in the game, others don´t.. I can give you one example here.. -If the surfes on the loco changes when you travel in or out winter lanscape.. -Thats a little bit of WOW-factor if you hadn´t seen it before.. "And" as I said eariler ..enviroment must be 100% nicer then other games ..otherwise same old again!! -My gaming at moment is little bit fun in Railroads Online.. because, you have to really get out of the "loco" and switch the junction manually, otherwise you can´t driver further.. connect the rollingstock manually.. And also do the same to load/unload things,.. That makes the game more alive ..and the graphics is "very" good!! "But" this game needs attension "too" ..Just a few things for the maneuver ability in some sequences.. I get this that.. -This gets more demands on you to have progress.. -And it should not be easy either when you play a game.. -Right!! Ok! Have nice day, and I hope you get a fantastic game when it´s finish! /bigingo
The game is in early access, so changes will come in time. Thanks for the comment!
Is it still possible to build signals on the Alarka Branch as shown in this video? I can't find the option to implement them in the milestones menu or through the sandbox game mode.
We removed the signals on the Alarka branch for the Early Access release, but may look at bringing them back in the future. Sorry for the confusion!
@@railroader No worries, thanks for the clarification!
Hi.. A little peptalk here from a 20 year experiance guy here, from tracklaying and enviroment planing!! -I presume that you guys are the devs and management for this game!? -Like the video, but it´s rather empty enviroment!!? Have you unchecked something?? -Cars, peoples etc. Should be more motions.. However very good informations in detail when you point at something.. planing etc. -Overall..!! -The vegetation sharpness in the sample video here is kind of blury when you panning in the movie back and forwards.. maybe this kind of trees and meddow is the isshue.. but sharpness in loco and rollingstock is very ok!.. -Is there Hi Q Texture maping overall?? Hope that!! :) Maybe a little bit more detail in facilitys please.. and hurry up (priority).. This is boring 3d without no details and shadows.. -And make the sun appear in at least 90% when you gaming.. it´s the part of the enviroment.. this video could be better with the sun.. -The sun is a factor with shadowing trees and facilitys and makes the game live that of couse "IF" you have the day and night by the clock.. -And please.. I hope you have more "track-texture" couse this texture sucks..-No detail at all, tiny tiny screws ..Give you a tip here.. -Look up RAILROADS Online and look at the enviroment, and details.. Steel some ideas..!! -Spending hours just now!! -Can´t stop!! -Somthing is missing in this game too, like more infos etc... (Early Access to) (sorry to say, but this enviroment looks like my early Trainz version 2006-2012) -But hey.. peptalk is good Greetings /bigingo
The game is early access, the map and environment are at their most basic as the focus of the title currently is in the gameplay/game loop. Game development is a hard, long, and difficult process. Currently the game is being developed by a single person with models being made by a small team of folks. This slows development down even more. All of us have full time jobs, with this game being the "second job" so to speak. Not sure what you mean about infos missing, but will take that as it reads. The game is in early access, more will come in time. Thanks for the comment!
Where is the signal box? I've done the mission to restore it but I can't find it
Walk around to the back of the Bryson station and find the door with "DS" above it. Walk through the door and you'll be on the stairs to it. You can also use the console command "/tp ds" when in first person to jump your player there.
Is there an official place where we can submit requests to the devs for game improvement? For instance it would be nice if we could purchase teardrop loops at the end of the track lines so we could easily turn passenger trains around. Also, is there an official release place to report bugs?
The best place for this is on our Discord; two forums there are ideal for this: #bug-reports and #feature-ideas. Hope to see you there!
I don't even own the game yet and understand how to use it properly! Great video dude!
Hello Railroader team, great work on the game.. is there any ETA on Mac version? I'm stuck with console and Mac and I presume consoles are not in the plan for forseable future
Consoles no, we'd like to do Mac at some point but no timeline atm.
vary cool sim, but pop-ins pulls my eyes away from the fun.
Video Request: Could you please provide a short video on “How and When To…” toggle on Train head light (bright / dim / off), train marker lights - to include the end of train marker lights (and switch colors and when to use them), the observation rear headlight (simultaneously turning off the Locomotive rear headlight) passenger car interior lighting... How and when to use the whistle for different situations… and any other relevant information along these lines. Thank you.
We will look into your request!
Cant see the value it adds to the game, even more busy work than just teleporting around the map and flicking switches. I wish i never unlocked this feature, as now i cant properly switch at Whittier for the two factories on the south side of the track. I now have to play with all the switches to make it think im using the offrail, only to switch into the factories after the signal, otherwise itll stay red.
The signal system will be updated and worked on over the EA, I know it does have its limitations at the moment.. You can revert/remove the signals with the /revert command... You just have to get the ID for which section you want to remove.
Thanks Railroader Team for creating such a great game! It’s exactly the type of Railroad simulation that I’ve been looking for.
How do you fire the locomotives? There's no shovel in the game
Currently, engines fire themselves. You just have to manage the coal and water levels in the tender
Will there be manual fireman for multiplayer at some point?
We will have to see what the future holds, it won't be in the EA... Least in our current plans.
Thank you!
How do I fill the coal tower on railroader
Coaling towers are loaded using captive service cars. Using a hopper car owned by your railroad, open the Car Inspector for it and, on the Ops tab, set the Loads To to the coaling tower, and the Empties To to one of the interchanges. Once you deliver to the interchange and the interchange is served, the car will be filled with coal and waybilled back to your coaling tower, where it will load the tower.
Ok
How about if the hopper is already at the coal tower
How do you run the repair track on railroader
This game is awesome. I've been playing it for hours on end. That being said, I've got a few suggestions. 1. I know you guys get tons of requests for certain engines, and probably have a lot planned, but I think the most needed would be 0-4-0 and 0-6-0 tank engines. These would be great for when you get to the point that you have to depend mostly on AI to get things done, due to map size, and you need to put more attention on switching. So instead of using your mainline engine to switch at every stop, bust some extra cash on getting small switchers to be stationed at the smaller yards, so you can drop off the cars, send the AI on its way, and get the cars where they need to go. These would also be generally useful for switching in small sidings, having no tender. 2. It would be great if the AI had a way to stop at stations, let passengers load and unload, then continue on. Maybe an option in "road" mode to select locations to stop at? The challenge with that, I see, is getting the AI to recognize when to depart, maybe it starts a 5 second timer that resets every time the passenger number changes? 3. I'm sure you get a lot of game balance feedback, but I think this one is close to the top of what needs changed: interchange freight isn't worth it. It just doesn't pay enough for the effort needed to organize the trains and put them in their sidings when jobs like the sawmill pay 4 figures. It's to the point that I avoid taking any small industry contracts unless the sidings are very convenient to get to, and I just tolerate the mandatory local freight for reputation. Once again, awesome game, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Keep up the good work
