Thank you kindly, Bence Nagy. My older and young brothers played music with Stanley Clarke in St. Louis. They told me he was top-drawer in every way kind, understanding, and a world player among kings. Calson Associates circa 1920 family #notes posterity 🐬 Echo/Ralph agrees. That Alembic Stanley plays is gorgeous! He, Jaco and Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) were my three main influences as a teenager. Then I went to college and learned it for real! I knew every song on Marcus’ Let Me Know You album. And then Victor autographed my fretless bass. He’s a friend of my bass professor at UNCA.

This is the different generations of bassist from the teacher through the students who took it to another level through their gifts, have you heard Stanley on the upright(l've seen him several times)so no judgment and enjoy the musicians music as a collective.

People will inevitably try to argue one is better than the others but I'd be more interested in hearing what they think of each other. Even if they respect each other greatly as musicians, I'm sure they have subtle critiques of each other's styles and sounds.
