to all of you complaining "it's not Alvin Lee" wake up ! Alvin Lee died in 2013 and left the band in 2003 ! Ten Years After is Ten Years After no matter who are in it! Chick and Ric are in the band since 1966 !!! now Leo is playing with Joe Gooch in a power trio they formed called Hundred Seventy Split, which i recommend too !!! these cats don't need Alvin to be called Ten Years After! i mean: AC/DC played without Bon Scott from 1980. the Rolling Stones played without Brian Jones from 1969. etc... c'mon guys: here we got Chick, Ric and Leo (TYA since 1966) ! they are history just like Alvin ! so , yes it's not Alvin !!! Man, some people are down on my boy, Joey Gooch. Well, if you didn't like Joe in TYA, don't worry, he and Leo started their own band Hundred Seventy Split (lame name IMO). It is silly to say Joe can't play but Hundred Seventy Split is no great success. Fact is, it is hard to start a blues act these days and have any success even having the great Leo Lyons involved. If you can move 5000 albums that is a big deal in the current climate. Anyway, I saw Joe live with TYA several years back and the guy was great. He can play, no doubt, but people don't usually embrace the next man in after a legend (A Lee) whether that legend be a musician, a politician or a ball player. Now, TYA is still going on with a lesser guitar/singer IMO. Hell, I really enjoyed hearing somebody play Alvin's great catalog was some level of virtuosity. And Joe did it with style adding a few wrinkles (e.g., sweep picking) that Alvin didn't used but keeping the general A Lee vibe . Hey, I think that Alvin was one of the greatest players in the early history of blues rock. I loved him but see no reason to knock Joe for having attempted to fill his shoes.

Alvin Lee is special place to me, he was wonderful, but I sure appreciate the upload of this as I've never had the opportunity to listen to the "new" band before. Indeed, their intention was a lot more positive than the audiance, isn't music always a question unto us whether we are ready to open for a kind of holiness? I love the bassist too, isnt his drive infect you too? But for me is hel me, live 1973, the sphere of the whole album is lovely!

Superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
i saw ten years after in `73 and ten years later in `83 they sound better than ever
Yeah!..Alvin was the fastest...the soul of 10yrs after
He is good you dough heads !!!
I missed seeing Rick, Chic, and Leo!
Increíble que sigan tocando de esa forma, 5 décadas y siguen haciendo vibrar a los rockeros.
a most enjoyable concert-
Alvin Lee was only really good with these guys, the original Ten Years After. His music was not the same without them. There is so much drive and energy even now with this new guitarist/singer who by the way is outstanding.
werry cool. :-)
Not Bad! I would see these guys in concert today!
buenisimo
Without Alvin There's no TEN YEARS AFTER. The feeling is gone...

Agree with that. Sounds like a poor version of Ten Years Afters unfortunatelly, although this guitar boy is very, very good player.

Joe Gooch - vocals. guitar
this guy is a better guitarist in my opnion he's playing Alvin licks and then some.Plenty of feel, perfect timing, inventive leads.Kick ass
Ott voltam az első sorban!!!
Right my friend... he's a younger clone... BIG HUG NEVER TOO OLD TO ROCK.
Hi. It`s a part from Ten years after ( after Alvin Lee ) with new Guitarrist.
POR AQUI SE VE A FALTA QUE O ALVIN LEE FAZ A ESTA BANDA E NAO QUERO DIZER COM ISTO QUE ESTE GUITARRISTA NAO PRESTA SO QUE O ALVIN LEE OBRIGAVA A OUTRA RAPIDEZ E LOGO A SONORIDADE ERA DIFERENTE ENTAO AO VIVO O ALVIN E IMPARAVEL E INIGUALAVEL DE QUALQUER MANEIRA OS MEUS PARABENS.
Superrrrr GUITARRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the real thing, with Leo Lyons (who founded Ten years After with Alvin Lee), Rick Lee and Chick Churchill from the original band, and Joe Gouch who took on as guitarist/front man after Alvin left the band. Alvin Lee is special place to me, he was wonderful, but I sure appreciate the upload of this as I've never had the opportunity to listen to the "new" band before. They are great and I'm sure Alvin Lee would agree with me as he listens from the peaceful place he is in now.
Awesome drum solo
GET HIM|!!
its starting to make more sense to me
Cap5ain Speed Fingers and his crew stand the test of time _ keep on. Rock"n
DO NOT KID YOURSELVES. IT IS A BRAND NEW OUTFIT,JUST CARRYING ON ITS ORIGINAL LEGACY. PERHAPS WELLKNOWN FOR PLAYING TRACKS ALVING WOULD NOT TOUCH, FOR SOME REASON...LIKE THEIR ICONIC "...CHANGE THE WORLD" and others...so, rock on!!
Alvin reviens on t'aime ! Tu nous manques déjà. RIP !
I agree, it's not that blokes fault that he obtained that gig. He's just doing what his dreams set him out to do. These people should be getting mad at Alvin and the band, not him!
What a fantastic Band? What a $hitty Audience?
Sorry. There's no TYA without Alvin. RIP Alvin. :-(
Now Alvin will really be missed.I can`t believe he`s gone.
Tinha uns 4 anos, gracas a Deus nasce em em boa época....
Leo Lyons is the hardest working bass player EVER. (and I'm not a huge bass fan)
I've been a TYA fan since late 60's and I have no problem with Joe's playing, or vocals, the band is tight and sounds great. Alvin Lee still records and puts out cd's.
No Alvin ,No Ten Years,R.I.P Brother
BEEEUUURKKK !!!!
R.I.P. Alvin Lee.
Alvin Lee was an icon of TYA but this young guy is no worse, RIP, Alvin!
Alvin will be sorely missed, but this guy is fabulous. Make no mistake.
There are Leo Lions on Bass and Ric Lee on the Drums, that's half of Ten Years After.
Rest in peace!
le guitariste est tres bon aussi!!
Alvin Lee - guitar / Chuck Churchill - keyboards / Leo Lyons - basso / Ric Lee - drums Én őket keresem a zene hallfatása közben. Én ott voltam Győrben.
