That's the point! It's a great trail design because you can only ride the blue jumps, or start to progress into the bigger black features as you become comfortable. I wish we had something like this at home!

@@fsquared64 it's a little easier to see the line when you're riding the trail but I admit I missed a couple options that I would have liked to try that day. This trail is worth redoing a couple times to learn where everything is.

It’s a good one, challenging and definitely worth a visit if you’re in SLT. My only recommendation would be to try to ride it during the week so the hiker traffic is a little less intense.

damn at times its even hard to tell where the trail in...that super rocky section with big boulders was LONG. Looks fun - those lake views at the top were amazing.

Yeah I got surprised a few times riding the trail as it's harder to follow in the rocky sections. Super unique trail though. I'd love to get more time on it to learn all the features.

hey! going to mendocino for the first time this weekend, what's the best trails to hit around jackson demo forest? this one looks pretty solid
@benjaminnorris5170 Жыл бұрын
Good question! I'd call Sweetpea a fun and mellow XC trail that descends quite a long way (6ish mi). If you're looking for something a little more challenging, the Endo/Oh No/Boiler trails are super fun. It would be a big loop, but you could hit these trails first and then ride up to Sweetpea before riding out, if you have time/energy for that kind of ride.

@@benjaminnorris5170 Thanks for all the tips! You happen to know if there's an ebike restriction there? I couldn't find anything about it online. Thinking I can crank out a few extra laps with the ebike.

Nice video! What is your stem length? I am new to my HD5, I feel DH is great but sharp turns are challenging. I thought it is due to slack head angle compared to my previous bike (DV9), but later realized it might also due to my 60mm stem that came with the bike.
@bensbikes3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm running the stock stem, and haven't noticed any significant issues honestly. I came off a Trek Fuel EX (29er), so there was a bit of an adjustment period where I had to figure out how to corner on the HD5. I feel like the HD5 requires a fairly active riding style compared to the Fuel, meaning weight centered over the bike, elbows out, arms pushing the bike through corners. I've set a lot of new PRs on the HD5 so it's rewarding once you figure it out!
