This track used to be stunning. It once flowed like a sweet mountain stream, descending into raging rapids around Rindt. Yet, it was a toxic stream, full of testosterone, and it needed the treatment. Stripped of many of its natural wonders, expertise succeeded in making it unrecognisable, but could not complete the prefab program. It is not quite as forgettable as all of the other memorable and vibrant prefabs whose names I cannot recall, since they struggled to move the mountain.

It wasn't one person, but a chain of unfortunate circumstances that led to it. Political expectations as a compromise to built the new section, pressure and threads from F1 to not race there if they don't shorten the track, and very little time to finish everything until the next grand prix, aligned all the holes in the swiss cheese model.

This remarkable piece of road along with the old Kyalami were abandoned in favour of the Hungaroring and Jerez kart tracks. While the location is back, it's not the Osterreichring.

If you need a rest, just listen to this relaxing voice and music of the golden days. For the drivers however it must have been heaven and hell. I think it was Bell, Redman and Moss agreeing on Spa was their favourite racetrack just so 'bloody dangerous'.

After watching this onboard video I feel that I can also pass Senna . There is a huge performance difference between 93 Williams and McLaren . And Senna won 5 GP that year just because of his talent . If Verstappen had won 6-7 in a year when Mercedes was alone at the top or Hamilton wins 6-7 times this year I will agree that they are on the same level but I am sure they are not .

Dois pilotos fantásticos ,cada um com seu jeito de pilotar e ver a vida. Cada um olhava pra corrida de uma forma individual,e isso se refletia em suas pilotagem. Senna rapido e preciso, prost friu e calculista. Dois gênios.

The gap in performance between their cars looks so wide at the Tosa curve exit. Apparently Prost had a better traction control or possibly Senna's car suffered some problems.
