I've always liked this song, and the oldies radio stations still play it. Don't listen to the radio anymore because I get few radio stations where I live, and I don't like those few. But I can get all of the songs, talk, and news I want online, so I still get to enjoy lots of great entertainment, and all just for the price of my monthly internet service. I don't pay for any online pay tiers, because there's tons of free programs available online, usually with commercials or ads. I'm older than this song, so I grew up with commercially supported TV and radio, so I'm used to and okay with that format. Anyway, I enjoy offerings like this, so thanks for posting it. And what a fun song.🤗

You can tell when the comments are few and far between that either this wonderful man was either a 'turkey' or a great musician, that 'turkeys' failed to appreciate. Jerry Reed was a great musician ... he was also a great composer and all round entertainer. Anyone who played with Chet Atkins was no 'turkey'.

That's 3 Aria Pro ii TA guitars, made by Matsumoku, in one band! Don't know about the bass and the banjo. They built good instruments. Pity that Singer hadn't protected the factory against their own bankruptcy.

Singer sewing machines are what killed the Matsumoku factory. The best and most talented Luther's ended up making custom Japanese Fenders that were better than Fender Custom Shops of the day. Many went to South Korea to support the new Gibson factory, which is why many Epiphones up to 1997 are very well built. The same Luther's built Peerless, who in turn made high end Epi's. Never chase a factory, follow the individual workers, they are th talent. Speaking of Fender, they're 'Fender' in name only. Leo went on to help start Musicman (as good of amp, better guitars), and G&L... hisnlast business before he died. The greatest improvements to Fender guitarsncannbe found at G&L. Better bridge, more advanced and quiet pickups, and everything is treated as a 'Custom Shop' order, besides their low-priced entry level stuff. Leo trained those guys well, then there is Suhr who also comes from Fender. Similar thing with Gibson USA when they moved their factory. Heritage Guitars make equals to Gibsons in every way. Some are much better. 🤷♂️
