I am looking for compact beginner everyday camera system to learn photography, develop a shooting habit, composition, playing around with manual settings etc. What are some good options? (optional: works well in low light, must: compact) I wanted to learn photography. So I got a used Sony A7s2. Then lens I got with it was damaged. I thought buying a zoom lens would help me practice diversely with different focal lengths. Bought the Tamron 24-70 f2.8. The thing is I don't keep my camera with me. I should have got a fixed focal length lens (which would have also been smaller) and a smaller camera so that I can keep this handy with me always. I need to practice more and more. The setup I have currently I just don't carry with me. I want to click pictures in low light during evening and night after office on weekdays. And on weekends any time.

As an Australian nearing 60, I can confirm Maccas and HJs have absolutely no idea what bacon is. That crap they put in the burgers, it's barely ham, not bacon. Tough, chewy, I'm guessing it's cheap, and 'the customer ' won't notice. We'll, I do. And I don't eat that crap anymore. I get burgers from my corner fish and chip shop, or make them myself. And all you got from Red Rooster was some crappy fried chicken? Red rooster is all about the roast chicken. The best chicken. Damn... Utter nonsense. Japan is filled with high quality sushi at much affordable prices. It’s not like the US. What you are paying for in Tokyo for supposed high end sushi is where the sushi chef trained and in this case by his dad. Sushi omakase prices in Japan are based much more so on the pedigree of the chef….doesn’t equate to the best sushi.

Careful on the hangboard. If you are new to climbing it is a great way to introduce your worst nightmare... a finger injury. So most people just recommend just climbing a lot for at least a year or maybe 6 months, so your tendons are more accustomed to that kind of weight. Or just be very careful doing no hangs instead of full body weight hangs. Good luck!
@ajsimmons2 ай бұрын
Thank you for that. I didn’t realize it’s more of the tendons that are at risk. I will keep this in mind and ease my hands into climbing more.

I’m 40 and recently took climbing back up (2-3 years in my teens). Haven’t regretted a moment. Just have to be more aware of recovery time with age 😊. Also grip strength is heavily dependant on tendons within the hand. And they don’t “degrade” the same way muscles do. Keep at it and you’ll be fine

Very nice progress. I've been bouldering for a couple of years. I'll climb till I die. Anyway, if your gym has a workout area or finger-boarding area, you can still at least go there and work on your finger strength until you can get back on the wall. I broke my leg three weeks into climbing, and it was quite depressing. I never even thought to go there to work on finger strength and at least be in the environment. Just sprained my ankle about a week ago and was off the wall for about 5 days, and that's exactly what I did. Just focused on climbing-specific workouts (weighted pull-ups, curls, core, etc.) and finger strength. Made not being able to climb a lot more bearable.
