The adventures of Fairy the retired racing greyhound who lives in England. She loves campervan travels in my vw t5 mostly to Wales, Dartmoor and Cornwall, wild camping, mountain hikes, running on the beach and sleeping for 20 hours a day. Fairy is very spoilt and wants for nothing. She has a great diet, is always offered water from her doggy water bottle on walks/runs and has coats for every weather and occasion! I adopted her in August 2022 and waited a year until I let her off lead on the beach after building trust and a strong bond with lots of recall training on a long line at home. She is also an amazing school therapy dog who is calm, gentle and listens to children read, promoting calmness, wellbeing and happiness in an infant school 🥰 I will be posting lots of videos about Fairy, her daily routine, care and walks. Also some informative videos about camping equipment I use.

It always astonishes me when human behaviors are assigned to dogs. Animals know what they can eat for nourishment vs. what will cause them harm. This is called "survival instinct" not "being fussy." Brava, Fairy! Stick to your guns!

Oh my goodness! People do not appreciate what a struggle it is maintaining the high standards of being a princess pup 😢. Good thing Fairy has a mommy who loves her so 😊. We can all rest easy now! 😂❤
😂.. I remember trying my two greyhounds with posh raw meat pet food..one just went in a huff, the other took to spitting it out like a 3yr old child with pureed brocoli. I was given the I'm so hurt u gave me that awful stuff look for the rest of the evening. Back to chicken the next day and forever more

I love how Fairy's left eye begins to squint and blink at the sheer magnitude of what is being asked of her! Standards must be kept up, clearly. Such a sweet girl in fuzzy pink ear protectors in the shower.

The first time I let my whippet mix loose on a beach, she just ran straight down the beach literally out of sight. Came back in about 10 minutes, running just as fast and with the biggest smile.
I watched this last year, but just had to watch it again to see how free she felt! loving the water, loving the dig to lay down in, and running like a true champ. Any time you say beach to her, she'll be getting so excited!
I would train her with a whistle because when she runs she's gone quite far in a few seconds. Might help to keep her safe.
It's relaxing to watch this dog! I'm too old to have a dog now but I love to see her being a greyhound and enjoying herself! 🩷

Greyhound lover here. Fairy is such a cutie! My son has a rescue greyhound that goes to work with him too, he's a gardener, and his boy Zeus is such a lovable goofball.
We had a whippet! So lovely, a sight hound running free! I love how she tucks back her ears!

Body fat is so low on these big hounds like you say but the webbed feet do help for paddling. My two loved the water but wore a dog PFD that meant they didnt sink and would run into the sea like they were born to swim.

She likes running in circles (or ovals) because she would run in those dimensions while in greyhound races…..also you might want to attach an Apple air button to track her position if she goes too far. Bring clean water with you …giving some to her before you let her off leash….she’ll remember Mom has fresh water and look for you when she gets thirsty.
That was so amazing watching her run. They sure are made for it, aren't they? And most of all I really love seeing that she is in the hands of someone who truly seems to care and love this dog. Beautiful. This actual made me tear up a bit.

I’m pretty sure if I was a child old enough to understand the concept of an ocean that it would terrify me if I saw it without a parent to explain it. That dog is very brave.

Never thought much of greyhounds before but, that ones a beaut.

What beautiful gardens. Thank you for taking us along. Funny enough when my ex racer greyhound Catch first arrived i had to carry her upstairs as she to found stairs challenging. Like yourself after some training stairs are now no problem.
