If seraphs played trumpets with all of their different mouths at the same time I imagine this is what they would play, I love it
when you were composing this piece did you have in mind 7 trumpets or did you add parts whenever you needed more? always wondered about that when i see trumpet ensemble works
“Drum corps international presents… CAROLINA CROWN”
This is absolutely stunning work, man. I do have to say, I feel less bad for my octet players now. I’ll just show them your piece and say “hey I could’ve gone way more difficult with it” 😂
Excellent..thank you
Kinda williams-esque. Nice
Brilliant work and congratulations on this excellent recording.
Thanks so much! I feel very fortunate to get to work with great musicians!
You should arrange this for a full orchestra brass section.
Feeling influences from Triumph of Time and Angels in the Archiecture here. Great Stuff!
Puts the [sic] in whimsical. 💯
Who played in this recording?
@@ConsKortrijk The Shenandoah University Trumpet Septet!
I feel like this would fit perfectly into a dci show
Literally one of my bucket list goals.
Underrated stuff here. 🔥
An absolute joy to listen to!
Thanks so much Jeremy! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hmm... now to convince 6 of my friends... thats the hard part.
A huge thank you to the Shenandoah University Trumpet Septet for this brilliant recording of 'Thermal Whiplash'!! You can find more information about the piece here: www.hassmusic.com/chamber/thermalwhiplash/

You'll have to let me know how it goes!
Bass sounds very high wow
I dont know how I found this or why I'm also so addicted to it 😅 Great job!
@@secondfavorite Hey, no judgement here! I’m glad you enjoy it!
How do you come up with your pieces? I have such a hard time coming up with melodies.
Yo! I’m a small music producer (as in, I don’t feel like posting anything yet) from Ottawa, and I’m wondering if I could sample Shockwave in a song, the part at 0:44 to be exact, could I use it? I’ll be sure to give you credit, of course. (P.S. if I ever do post it, I’ll be sure to contact you before just for a go ahead)
10x better live
A fellow alto player at my school learned and performed this this past school year! This piece is nuts and has now become a sort of inside joke in our band program ! Due to how much he practised this, everyone heard him play it many times! Kudos!
Thanks for listening to this fun AC/DC-inspired tune! More information about this composition can be found at www.hassmusic.com/chamber/phantomvoltage/
I like how they combine and I’m loving the sound
If 212°F was a trombone ensemble. 🔥🔥

Love a good horn rip! Thanks so much!
So pretty
Wooooooh that bass trombone
Those low notes have all that OOMPH in them. Really cool piece!
I made sure to give those low notes some heat 🔥
Planning on any more advanced sax quartets? I loved playing Polar Vortex!
Glad to hear it! I just finished writing a three-movement quartet called 'Level Up!' all influenced by video game music. The full piece will be out at the end of the year, but I'm releasing one of the movements over the summer!
Very cool! (Cool... for a piece called "Boiling Point")
Eyy, thanks so much Robert!
Thanks for listening! I have a stockpile of incredible recordings that I'll be releasing over the summer, so be sure to subscribe and stay tuned! More information about Boiling Point can be found here: imbrassworks.com/products/hass-chris-evan-boiling-point-for-trombone-octet

@@CadeKuzniaSaxinet ahaha I appreciate it!
That just sounds amazing
Glad you enjoyed it!
I played this piece a few months ago in an honors band in Alpena and I just want to say it was the most fun I've ever had in band. This piece is very beautiful, keep up the good work!
Wow, that's wonderful! I'm so glad you enjoyed performing the piece. Thank you for the kind words!
I feel like that 1st trombone is a bit high yk? Maybe make it an alto trombone
Oh Mr Hass and your lovely odd time signatures. You really know how to make an awesome melody with any time signsture
You know I love me some mixed meter! Glad you enjoyed this tune!
Was that solo supposed to have Bolero, Morceau Symphonique and Ride of the Valkyries or am I just hearing that?
You picked up on most of the references! Check out the program notes in the description for the full story.
are you going to post a perusal score video?
I wish my saxophone ensemble was good enough to play this 😔
Check out my newer tune ‘Final Boss’! All the intensity of this one, but a little more playable.
