I have owned one of these since 2021, and I love it.
Any more than four strings means you are not a bassist, you are a wackoff fool.
I have owned a btb 6 since 2010. Loved the build loved the way played as far as set up once.I tweaked it a little but could never use it in a professional setting because it just sounded boomy and horrible. So I was bummed.I finally changed the print and oh my god what a difference!!! It fixed the problem At first. I thought it might be the pick ups could not change them because they were an odd Measurement, so I went with a Delano Nine volt preamp wow siglad the pickups were not the problem.
Hi John! Please, Tell the story behind the unrealesed song "Rockin' on with Jesus" which I consider that must have been included in the first or at least in the second Petra album. God bless You!!!
Bass an drums gettin into bed an gettin it on.❤❤❤😂😂😂👍👍👍🙏🙏🪬🪬💎💎🧿🧿🇬🇧🇬🇧🥃🥃
Beautiful bass guitar! What I have done with my 6 string Ibanaz bass is open D, A, D, G, C, F. Very cool. Left out the open B. You will find this tuning very interesting indeed. Can play chords just like the 7 string only a "narrower" neck. Thanks for your video. Rock on people. Invoking Invoking favor
Oh yeah boy! Congratulations from Chiapas🎉
lol first thing I thought, if I get this bass I’m having that Input jack removed during set up
Ha ha, awesome story! All the best to y'all!
Glad you enjoyed the lithophanes, John! I just got a new 3D printer (still need to assemble and calibrate it), be interesting to see if the print quality is even better than the previous one. And Janet and I really enjoyed seeing you and Greg Hough in Saginaw!
Miss Kev..
Good!, Hey, what gauge is the high f?
Great description: " Physically daunting, kind of a mental thing going on here " Off topic but comparable to years ago riding tight east woods riding on my modified Honda CR 500. The BTB 747 & Honda CR 500 are basically both reserved for the experts and/or insane

Oh...! Qué lástima que no disponga de subtítulos al español. Tendré que afinar mi pequeño vocabulario inglés. Saludos, bendiciones y gracias por compartir material como este.
Sadly Kevin has passed away
Isnt that the same one that Lucas Mann has??
Love this. Looking for whatever else you can send our way in the New Year 2023!
Thank you. There will be more, but right now I can't say when. Really appreciate your support.
🎉 happy new year, and happy to hear this! Looking forward to Salt’s foray into progressive rock.
Cheers, Scott! We're super excited to share what we've been working on! Thanks for listening!
These guys are amazing! I am so glad that they got together and formed this band 50 years ago. They have been a blessing and have brought the Word of God to so many. They are all still amazing!
Thanks for your presentation, more of this please ..🤘.. everybody who knows how to play instrument and little bit cheap guitars to buy ☠️
Jazzy and bluesy with just a hint of the first Petra album’s sound. Like that John Schlitt is featured on vocals.
This is awesome!
Fantastic!!
One Thrus Rod ? I think it could have 3 .......
very cool.....😇😍😎
Great presentation and educational tool!!! They’re a challenge.
hrm. doesn’t sound great that thing unfortunately.. looks cool though
👍👍
i like Std. Guitartuning
As we focus on moving the band forward during the coming year, I want to continue our relationship with Mr. Dave Kruse. He's excellent at what he does. Hopefully, he'll still want to interview us in the future.
Runnin' is from the first SALT project. Since we recorded in a different studio with a different producer, the tune has a far different sound in production value compared to the second SALT project "Trophy Hunting For Unicorns". John Schlitt did the vocals for that project's 3 vocal tunes. The other two vocal tunes on the project are "I'm Your Man" and "From Yes To No And Back Again". No videos were made for these tunes.
Curtis and I have a lot more planned in way of future videos. Thanks in advance for everyone's support.
We actually have a couple more videos with John McCorkle planned. There was a technical glitch in making one and the other one, which is a jam between John, Curtis and myself, is being edited. We'll post something on FB when it's ready to be posted. Thanks for your patience!
Do you have the credits for the instruments? John Slick on keys?
Hey, EJS! John Schlitt (Petra) is doing the vocal work. The keys are John McCorkle! John DeGroff-Bass, Curtis George-drums, and Dan Leu-Guitar. Thanks!
Hello my name is laderrius manning I have some bass covers I want you to do with your seven string bass my name is laderrius manning make sure you change the sound to a growly bluesy sound check out my comments if you see l inside Purple circle that's the first letter of my name check out my comments but if you don't have your seven string can you use a 7 string Warwick custom bass please thanks and god bless you
I just got one 3 weeks ago last one left in Australia and I play it everyday. Still getting my head around but like you said I love a challenge. Alot of bass for the price.
Hows the weight of it?
@@AcousticSerenity Not bad at all I have a yamaha and jackson 5 strings and Washburn 6 string I think the Washburn is slightly heavier than the Ibanez. Its sits nice when your standing and playing and dosent dip at all. Neck is very accessible too for a 7 string (a little bit of a stretch going for the low C note😂) but like I said in my other comment its alot of bass for the price I paid 1750 Australian for mine its worth it and great addition to my collection. 🤘
@@AcousticSerenity I personally think it weighs more than my other Ibanez basses and more than my custom Killer B bass. I sit down when I play anyhow, so it really doesn't matter to me. If I didn't, I know my neck would be hurting by the end of a gig. Love it, though.
Check out the comments about the other bass covers I want you to do thanks god bless you
Can you do areatha Franklin think 1980 here is a bass tip take on the original think 1968 make sure you change the sound to a growling low sound and do respect orchestra 1968 and think 45 rpm there are more bass covers in the comments please
Can you do areatha think the blues brothers here Is a bass tip take on the original think 1968 the other bass covers are in my comments my name is laderrius manning if please use your 7 string bass guitar for these bass covers I know it has a nice low growl sound and do hallelujah clark sisters Kennedy center honors
I liked your video you have 68 likes that bass guitar looks like it has a nice sound o also subscribed to the video because I think you should do some bass covers I'm talking soul classics like areatha Franklin oh and do think areatha Franklin 45 rpm
Hey, thanks for thinking of me and asking me to do covers, but that's something I just don't have the time for. I'm in 3 bands as it is, have been doing some file sharing with other musicians on original material, will be working with fellow ex-Petra guitarist Greg Hough on some material, plus I'm in the process of writing the next SALT project. It would take a lot of time to do a decent cover, especially on bass, and I just don't have that kind of time. Anyway, thanks for thinking I have the kind of chops that could pull that off, I appreciate that.
Do areatha think the blues brothers here Is a bass tip take on the original think 1968 can you also do hallelujah clark sisters Kennedy center honors and respect orchestra areatha Franklin and chain of fools areatha and Mariah Carey use your seven string bass the one you just got and said it was a toy
Now i can play lofi music
It is interesting to see that Ibanez is picking up where Conklin left off in the 1990's- Check out a great bassist named Budda playing a Conklin 7 string. He is more of a funk/jazz bassist with super chops. You'll probably feel sorry you made this video. I enjoyed that you presented the bass, playing not so much. New instruments are always a challenge. Thanks for sharing
Nice track and video!
I enjoy your history and stories John. I remember what a treat it was when Petra played the Adam’s Apple. I don’t remember any particular instruments but no doubt I watched you break in that bass.
Thanks for commenting. You probably did see me "break in" that bass. For years it was the only one I had. Nice to touch base with another former Adam's Apple attendee. God bless you and thanks for your support.
That bass and I are the same age. 😊
My wife will shoot me for this, but the bass is now two years older than she is.
