  The title card drop for this game has forever been cemented as my favorite intro sequence ever. That transition from drowning, the music, then the card with the distorted effects paints the perfect picture of "everything is fucked, and you survived. It's only gonna get worse from here." That tension is just golden. I wish someone could re-bottle that magical feel.

  For some reason when jump to the pillar I am okay, but when I try to hit the wall my E key does not register and I die every time. Any ideas?

  The choreography was done by Donnie Yen himself, and the intro was directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the Godzilla Minus One guy.

  I know this shit doesn't seem like shit now, but back in the 90's, this intro was straight hype. This was back in the era of games where you just get a text dump and are just thrown into the game.

  That "puzzle" imo is poorly designed not only do they just introduce the pixies but they also say that the pixies can activate ancient tech so I assumed I needed to find the 3 for that 😅 jeeze

  When I had this on CD ROM in the nineties, the cut-scene / my computer had a bug which made it cut straight to the game at the point where the girl is on her swing - so I never saw the guys speak to his wife on the farm and didn’t really fully know what the story was (although kind of worked it out…)

  The game came with a 'Guidebook to the Land of the Green Isles' booklet. Inside was a backstory of a previous adventurer to the islands, which also contained (in hindsight) fairly obvious clues to the game. This and similar inclusions of physical material with computer games were common practice as a way of deterring unpaid copying/sharing of the game itself. Nevertheless... even with the guidebook and clues, this game was as equally challenging as it was fun and immersive. There were multiple potential endings, with varying degrees of defeat or success in the end. This game was way ahead of it's time!
