I feel like you should add the drill array back to the ice base and use it to not only drill out the little bit of ice remaining, but a large space underneath, then put in a large amount of hydrogen and oxygen storage, really make it into a refuel base. Meanwhile I think you should stop destroying excess ice back at the PAM base on Europa; at your main base you were mining ice just to get oxygen and hydrogen for a hot minute; I really think you should set up automatic ice and/or hydrogen and oxygen shipments from the PAM base to your main base and/or the ice outpost.
Great video as always. Just curious though, how are you able to pull stuff from the base onto your ship? I cant figure out why my base wont let me pull compotnents to my ship.

That drill on the nose is sooooo making me think of SHADO interceptors.
Could you add a colored interior light for each of the timer blocks, and add to the timer actions to turn off all lights except the color it is associated with?

I know it's a bit late since I just saw this video but I figure the name the car might get is "Theseus", based on the Ship of Theseus thought experiment. Basically, the experiment is to try and determine if a ship that was originally built had all its parts progressively replaced, would it still be the same ship? That'd be fitting given how you pretty much fully ground off all the parts of your ship and made a car out of it but the game still refers to it as the ship.
The damage done to Heretic John is the same reason why when Automation was released, the first thing I did once I figured it out was adding AI Defense and AI Move blocks to all my PAM miners, set to flee the moment they were locked up by an enemy.

might be worth setting up signal relay to alert you when cargo is full or at a near full percentage so you can set a PAM cargo drone to go to them and collect from the location to bring back to the main base and a signal system on each base to let you know when they're low on resources or ammo or under attack, even if just for an early warning
You know what would be insanely cool? If you would build a hangar sliding hangar roof/door for the AMG Sandstorm hangar. you know, something of the kind they had on the Venator class star destroyers in star wars ep 2 and 3.
Just out of curiosity, what's your preferred day length in game? I've always done shorter days/nights simply to avoid the dark when I'm playing with friends, but it sucks how short the days are and it seems like you play with a pretty long cycle enabled. Tysm for the awesome video!

Pretty sure the event controller is counting the cargo space for unrefined and refined material so it's not going down that fast. If you put a cargo container and sorter to drain the materials out of the refinery, it will work better.
Hey Andrew, have u ever played "Empyrion - Galactic Survival"? Tbh I would love to see a project in than by u. I havent found any creator here I can watch vor more that 5 minutes for Empyrion and I see u there very much. :D
The Sandstorm should get a new paint job (maybe a light blue camo type deal) and be renamed to Snowstorm. That’d be rad

why would you not just adjust the suspension to the right height?
One thing to note when flying the flyer via remote is antenna distance, once you exceed the base antenna or craft antenna range you'll just disconnect from the ship 😂

The Sandstorm [or one of its sister ships] should make for some excellent combat events.
You could put an event controller to call you when the uranium storage is too full and needs emptying. That can then call up a PAM base ship too.
Having the uranium can allow reactors to power jump drives on the big ship [whatever it gets named].

Maybe use the AMG SnowStorm as a cargo transport to transfer space materials back and forth.
Something I like to strive for in my worlds is using satellites and comm stations with a combination of laser and regular antennas to be able to remotely control most of my stuff. Often not even because it would be useful for whatever I’m doing, I just like that it’s possible.

If you throw an LCD on your ship, you can jot down the components you need in game, just in case you have to leave and come back. 6:18
You have Uranium ore at the Ice/Comms outpost that was not being refined just sitting there. And you should have added some spotlights to the outposts and a camera or two so you could look around if needed.
I totally agree. Why fool around with solar panels when you can go nuclear???

For the AI stuff: If you put a GPS coordinate near the home base and the PAMAmazon Distribution Center (PDC?) you can then use the AI Basic Task Block to have the drone fly to the GPS coordinate _without using the flight recorder_. Then, while docked on the connector, use the AI Flight Recorder to record waypoints _leaving_ the connector (only 4 waypoints really, then stop the recording). Then in the AI Flight Recorder block, reverse the waypoints (so now it lands instead of takes off). Do the same at the home base connector. Then "wire it up" with timer-blocks and what-not and it should work great. I have this set-up for my defense drones that auto-land for ammo refills and re-charging and it works great, even if they were 2km away fighting something. This lets you allow the AI to manage the flight between the two points without having to worry about specific waypoints; this should work across the globe in theory. You could use a space hook to lower uranium to the planet base and send ice (If needed) to the Uranium base.

Suggestions Now the ice outpost doesn't have any drill u should make a landing pad for small ship where the drill was since it would be cool to see the hab and the ship beside it And since now u have uranium on ur hands u should consider turning most of ur ship including PAM ship to be nuclear powers so it takes less time to recharge, and maybe even use a nuclear generator at the base as a secondary form of power source, redundancies would never hurt
Good idea! That space would serve perfectly for a little landing pad.
Resource nodes mod allows you to mine for resources without breaking the voxels so the worldfile wont become massive and you dont have to woory about searching for more resources
