LockPickingLawyer

This channel aims to educate consumers about weaknesses and defects in security devices so they can make better security decisions. It should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway: do not use any of the information presented in my videos for illegal purposes.

My mailing information is below. Do NOT send anything you want back unless I’ve agreed in advance to do so.

LockPickingLawyer
P.O. Box 215
Damascus, MD 20872
USA

Please note that I do not recommend locks, nor do I provide assistance in opening them. For advice getting started in locksport, I recommend the “University” at LockLab.com. For all other inquiries, email me (channel name at gmail). One final note - I usually receive over one hundred emails each day, and though I spend a couple hours a day answering emails, I can’t answer them all. Apologies in advance if your email is one that slips through the cracks.

Most doors have astragals which this would not work on.

No way 😆😆 This is some Marx Brothers meets the Three Stooges levels of slapstick and lack of foresight; this is the lockpicking equivalent of blocking an eye poke with the width of one hand but having the other person just using two hands.

Hi LL, I’m a high school coach - every few weeks a lovely person comes by my court gates and jams the locks with toothpicks. We miss practices and have even had to cancel community service work because of it. Any suggestions for security/opening without bolt cutters?

Gun locks have not improved ... which explains why I have not bought a gun ... Gun locks do not stop anyone using a gun, they give you plausible deniability ... Note they are all utterly unacceptable in the UK, and will get your guns taken away ...

Not a lock pick, not a by passable lock ... just utterly brain dead dumb design ... that a 2 year old could bypass ... and will ...

Science fiction has become reality many times over. Star Wars & Star Trek like tech for the military among other things. To think the CCP and the US are not trying to develop some form of mind control is crazy.

I hope that there is ample notification in it, that wood's metal contains lead and cadmium. deposing that stuff is a real problem. the casting process itself isn't that dangerous, but handling the key might be a problem. especially, if people think, that this is a copy that can be used regularly. I guess, field's metal was too weak? sure, it's more expensive because of all the indium.

It may be entertaining to watch locks being picked open. However locks in general are useless devices which only ask others to respect the owners property. I have rwo locks like this one. One is a keyed lock and the other is a word lock. I made it known to other storage rental customers that if a thief wanted in their unit all they had to do was to cut the latch holding the lock and simply toss your lock away. The Police do not respond to in progress storage rental breakins if an alarm is activated. Locks are in fact meaningless devices. Cordless Cutter Grinders with metal cutting blades is the tool of choice by criminals.

You're better off bringing your own mini-safe and leaving it inside of the hotel safe at this rate. These aren't reliable enough on their own.
