Just a heads up: for historical reasons you shouldn't be able to open a Mana Drain in those Dominaria United packs. There are 2 versions of Legends boxes and some uncommons only appear in one version. The leftover Legends boxes are likely from an exchange program in '94, and only one version of the boxes was left.

Just today I work with a guy who knows I love mtg he gave me his dad's old mtg cards in it was two trop islands and two lion eye diamonds , by the way he gave me them for free

Great video, super helpful! I grew up playing revised. Still have my collection but sadly I’m looking at selling them (it’s breaking my heart but I need the money), and I’m going through and I have a few alpha, beta, and unlimited sprinkled in and it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes so this was a great refresher. Also I don’t care what anyone says, the new art sucks. It just feels cheap and overdone. There’s something about the classic timeless look of the old cards that will never go out of style. I’ll never understand why the guys at Wizards of the Coast continue to go further and further down that road. Worse and worse art, and more and more convoluted mechanics. Just stop. Think about what you’re doing, lol! Jesus… anyways, that’s my old man rant. Now get your Pokémon cards off my lawn! Thanks again for the refresher and the trip down memory lane
Glad this could help! Bummer you have to sell your collection, but hopefully it helps get everything on track! Completely agree. Old magic art is truly special. True retro borders, shooting star foils that were actually hard to collect. It was such a great era!

That Ankh of Mishra is HP at best. If you sold me that as LP or MP, we would have to throw hands. Also, Ultra Pro is TRASH quality. I use the card-folio but the quality is also extremely terrible. After just a year of storing WITHOUT flipping through it daily, the plastic is cracked by and brittle. The best binder ever made was by a short-lived company that made binders under the name FOUR. Ultra Pro’s fire-resistant binders get past the cardfolio’s brittleness problem, but at 2-3x the cost.

excellent lessons that i really need to listen to, instead of wasting the 12000 dollars i have this year in buying MTG packs and boxes I have 13 full binders and about 200 hard slabs ranging from two dollars to 30 or $40 each and about seven slabs around $200 like my five different one ring cards from LTR. I'm trying to make an investment to save for my daughter as I am 45. I'm running out of space because of these binders and she told me stop buying cards. I don't like Pokémon or magic. I used to gamble and spend in waste so much money and now my vice is these cards. Every time I get paid I spend around 30% on cards and leave myself only a couple hundred dollars to buy groceries every two weeks but I pay my bills child support, etc. I think I'm doing it all wrong. I think the most important thing to save and collect is actual money. Thanks for a short wake up call. It's time for a budget

Nice video, question tho I use those exact cardguard binder….whats the best way to remove a card without damaging it. Sometimes it’s a struggle
Ha glad that one of the greatest albums of all time caught your eye! 🤘🤘 When it comes to removing the card from the binder, you just gotta be gentle and patient. Having the cards sleeved in the binder will definitely help protect them as you take them out of the binder.

Is it just me or are the new edition frames all ugly as fuck? Even in the early 2000s I thought the new cards all looked a bit ass. But those frames are terrible to look at.

In the modern format, sadly yeah. It’s the format with cards from the last 25 years. But other formats are cheaper!
