Russia makes good looking weapons: planes, ships, combat vehicles. They're cool looking and better looking than western designs. The problem is that they're made by drunk Russians and the corruption quotient does not allow them to compete as we've now seen on the battlefield.

The Dutch got a AIFV Model YPR-765 with Oerlikon KBA 25 mm gun. Its a modifyed M113. Or like the HUNTER an AFV, from 2019 by Singapore, its a modern Version of the M113. Its an old M113 tank from 1960 from the US Gov. with the old chassis and a new body(the US got an aluminium body) and a turret. This Version in this Video is an M113 too, got better optics but less protection then the Hunter. Same 30mm canon, then the singapore version, same LMG caliber 308, other engine the original US got an 275 hp (205 kW) engine. Same front. same tank wheels. same engine position. nothing special.

All US Kestrels were sold to the Canadians (9), where some will be reconfigured for SAR use and others as parts bins to keep the highest recorded flying hour 101 fleet in the air. The entire Canadian fleet is also being upgraded to the same standard as Norway's new SAR fleet. The RCN went with navalized H92s for their ship borne sub hunters which was a poor decision in the end as they are just coming online now 20 years later with one lost already due to bad flight software coding

The most essential on board systems for such an expensive platform are counter laser/radar/IR detection and guidance measures against EAD-enemy air defense. In that regard... Kamovs were swatted out of the sky by 40 year old MANPADS and Russia has barely any budget or production capacity to even simply keep up with the losses. The Kamovs currently have to keep a distance from the frontline to avoid getting blasted out of the sky, reducing their effectiveness.

An absolute pinnacle of versatility. You can mount absolutely everything on it. Ship guns. Explosives. Ballistic missiles. Heavy turbolaser turrets. Trebuchets. Scorpions. Angry-grandma-with-pickle-jars AA systems. Whatever you can imagine, you can mount it on the ol' trusty MTLB.

  • @andrzej3511

You are forgetting one thing, my friend: this vehicle was tailor-made for a different time. It was supposed to be a very light vehicle, hence the weak engine and the inability to improve the armor. It was primarily intended for air landings behind enemy lines. It was supposed to be fast, agile and light. With little armament because sabotage operations do not require much firepower. The armor was intended only to protect against typical hand weapons. Strictly sabotage destiny! Therefore, it makes more sense to send the angry grandmother on foot, because this way she has a greater chance of survival. Because a decent Ukrainian sniper with a Barret M-82 will first shoot the MTLB driver (via "armor"!), then the commander and finally the gunner BEFORE anyone realizes who is exterminating them... From any direction at a distance of 1,000 meters WITHOUT THE LEAST DIFFICULTY! And finally, he will set the vehicle on fire with a phosphorus bullet. So install whatever you want on this scrap, the more the better. There will be a nicer bonfire! Let me ask you a perhaps indiscreet question: would you consider a car manufactured in the 1960s to be a vehicle suitable for daily use today?

@@andrzej3511 Lada Niva. Now you talk about a fancy Barret-equipped Ukrainian sniper. How many have you seen them on the front? Barrets? Snipers? If it were that effective, why don't we see loads promotional clips from Ukrainians "exterminating" MTLBs "WITHOUT THE LEAST DIFFICULTY". Instead, we see FPV drone videos. Why? Because it's easier AND cheaper to use them. Snipers and anti-material rifles appeared in the beginning of the war and quickly vanished from the limelight - because Barrets are high maintenance rifles, they are more a symbol of American tech. American snipers did also expected a bear safari and were instead sent to the front as a foot soldiers, so they got away as quick as they could. Can't snipe a missile/artillery shell, even in Hollywood. You also don't get many 50 BMG ammo, since most of the arms on the front used by Ukrainians are Soviet-made and use the Soviet ammo accordingly. And you talk about "Incediary ammo". Nah. Russians have LOADS of MTLBs. And LOADS of the 60's tech, vehicles, cannons, machine guns, excavators. It's not modern. It was made to kill - and it was made to last. Consider this - a grandpa with a gun is still a threat to a young kungfu fighter. So if anyone wants to win in Ukraine, he should stop and abandon the "LMAO Russian old tech suck" mentality. The frontline soldiers, the engineers already did that. But hey, maybe you want to believe in Ukrainian victory by sheer Ukrainian willpower. By doing that, you are helping Russians.

  • @andrzej3511

@@isekaiexpress9450 Lada Niva. Are you talking about an exhibit in a museum or about the crumbling scrap metal on Russian roads that still pose a mortal threat to their passengers and road users? By NO standards in the world, the Niva would not be allowed on the road - such things only in Russia. There is no reason to be proud. There is rather something to be ashamed of... Regarding the Barrett M-82, contrary to what you may think, there are a lot of them among Ukrainian snipers, and they have enough ammunition. All kinds. This weapon is highly regarded for its accuracy and incredible stopping power. Why are more MTLBs being destroyed with FPV drones CURRENTLY? For a very simple reason: their drivers and commanders have already gained respect for Ukrainian snipers. Finally, after a many, many months, they associated small holes in the armor, slightly larger than half an inch, with snipers. That's why they keep their distance. You can fly the drone up, but the sniper's position is definitely less mobile. And there are no movies for the same reason: you watch movies thanks to guidance drones. And contrary to what you write, it is quite often the case that MTLB, and sometimes BMP or BTR, fly up into the air seemingly for no reason... You just have to look carefully and be willing to notice. You say that Pupkin still has a stock of all kinds of armored weapon? Well, look at the satellite photos, so-called deep storage warehouses. Just as in 2022 there were actually thousands of them, today there are only miserable remnants left. "Wretched remains" because even from the satellite you can see that it is rust-colored scrap. In any case, the bottom is now very clearly visible. And there is no new equipment in sight!!! Minor addition: look at the Oryx portal. There you will find the exact specifications of all types of weapons lost by Pupkin. I emphasize that this website ONLY includes losses that have full photographic documentation. There are no losses that involved the complete tearing of the vehicle into pieces because it was used to transport ammunition. And according to conservative Ukrainian data, it will be about 50% more... And there you will find the a numbers. Shoking quantity destroyed military vehicles. So don't tell me about Russia's inexhaustible supplies. Your equipment is running out, the state budget are empty and even Uncle Xi refused to give Pupkin a loan because he knows perfectly well that the return will be a big problem. Yes, you are right: I deeply believe that the Ukrainians will win. Because they are fighting for their land, their homes, their women and their children. Unlike you Russians. You are just drunk barbarians attacking only for material gains. You are fighting for the most ordinary toilets, which you steal en masse and take to Russia as an incredible trophy. Pathetic!!! Are you saying that this way I am supporting Russia? OK, so I will support Russia THIS WAY! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 P. S. Try to stick even the tip of your katsaps nose outside the Kremlin's propaganda media. You will find that there is a world outside too. And it's completely different than yours. Kind of prettier, and certainly more honest! A world in which life is much, much better!!!

Half a century ago, this vehicle may have made some sense. Today, when the simplest RPG-7 (not to mention the contemporary, very modern and very effective means of destruction) instantly turns this vehicle into a pile of scrap along with the people on board, it is more suitable for a museum of military technology than for a battlefield...
