  Most underrated tenor opera singer. He was American, but sang with the passion you need to sing opera and mostly Italians or Spaniards have. Loved his singing and movies. He tragically died too young.

  Mario Lanza was born on the same year that Caruso died. Don't you wonder that perhaps, the spirit of Caruso probably entered the body of the infant Mario Lanza that's why he has also that beautiful and amazing tenor voice. What do you think?

  I watched this film “The Student Prince”, when I was 15 years old and loved it. Mario Lanza was always my favourite tenor, his voice was as unmistakable as Elvis Presley - the minute he started to sing, you KNEW to whom the voice belonged! Still today, I compare all tenors to Mario Lanza.

  One of a handful of the worlds great tenors. I sometimes lament that recording equipment was not around to record the tenors of the 19th century and before. We can never know how gifted they were. I am so grateful though, that even though the recording equipment was primitive and not hi fidelity in the early part of the 20th Century, at least we can listen to Enrico Caruso perform.

  I went to see The Student Prince in 1954 with my late much loved father & brother. I LOVED it, everything about it.over the years whenever I heard any of the music I have been moved to tears remembering Daddy & Roy laughing at me crying on the way home because I found the ending so sad. Happy memories now-- I am 80.

  He was the first opera singer I heard at school and his voice nearly knocked my socks off! Wow what an amazingly good voice and that is when I felt in love with opera ❤❤❤

  thank you for the wonderful editing whcih was seanless and did justice to the man, voice and acting. I loved both but perhaps the emotional/grieving second one a bit more. I would have liked to see both again and full lenght.
