ah scary, lots of these tips are outdated and incorrect in todays standards, eg; nyloc nuts are not to be re-used under any circumstance now days, where as this video suggests they can be re used and only if hand wining is possible, only then replace it. wild!!! no wonder crashes were so common back then.

Love seeing a trip around Sebring track!! I raced there many times! Are you same who was writing book about the Constitution? I posted on 1 of your old videos but you may not have seen: @xr60 Love the videos of the Constitution. Was this plane moved from Sebring to Miami? My mom remembers my grandfather, Joe Marrs, being involved as part owner. Do you recognize the name? Could he have sold it to your family?

I think He sold it to Hank Wharton. It flew from Sebring to Miami. The night before flying to Spain in 1963 it caught fire and deemed unairworthy. My father got it an auction and had it towed to turn it into a restaurant and museum. The project stalled and the city got tired of it and it was scrapped in 1978.

Usually not for structural use. We usually use safety wire or cotter pins. The nylons we do use aren't re-used. Nylons also aren't used in areas that are subject to high temperatures

Why no more than three threads must protrude past the nut ?
@GamingwithGamerGirls3 жыл бұрын
If too many threads protrude past the nut, it could mean the bolt is too long, and you will be tightening the nut against the shank of the bolt instead of the pieces you are trying to tighten together.
