    Thank you pastor for this piece, may God continue to increase you with spiritual understanding. The subject of spiritual fatherhood is very critical at this time. Many people have been put under perpetual fear and bondage on this subject. Thank you for throwing spiritual light on this subject. God is the Father of everyone that is genuinely born again, God does not have a grandchild! Anyone who considers himself or herself a grandchild of God lacks understanding “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Thank you pastor.

    Pastor Fafowora, I love your courage, you stroked the nailed right at the very head. I’m sure you are not surprised at the number of the negative comments to what you said because even though people think sense is common, it is very uncommon to many. If Leke Adeboye was the one that made the error the Iluyomades made, could it have been the same discipline from the go or the council of elders? Would leke have been suspended or removed? We are all witnesses to all the insults leke passed to people that are even older than his father, what kind of discipline did his father give him? To apologize! which he even openly refused at first!! God is watching and He has not created someone He cannot handle. God is watching, as well as we the people, God is the ultimate Judge! Baba adeboye, boba aiye oba mu e, Oba orun amu e. We the people, we are watching on our plasma tv!!!

    Sorry ooo, daddy wa! All these mathematical thinking is not necessary. Leave both Papa Adeboye and Pastor ID alone. Pastor Bakare, Itua, Tony Rapu and all others you cited are not complaining or seeking for an advocate. Let inside talk remain INSIDE. YOU ARE NOT AND CANNOT BE HOLYSPIRIT. Let the Holyspirit do his job. Let these people breathe. If all these AGO’s are proud of what they told you, why can’t you bring them on your platform and let them speak for themselves? It’s one thing to accuse people, it’s another to bring them down. As a Pastor that you call yourself, are you not meant to be a source of covering? Mr Wigwe made a decision to go and watch the game live, which he could have watched from the comfort of his home. How is that PASTOR ID’s problem? If you’ve planned an event and rain falls will you say you will cancel your event because it rained? Put yourself in the Illuyomade’s position, please explain to us the GENERAL PUBLIC, HOW AND WHY, you need to cancel your event if Mr Wigwe was your friend. I thought as much, No response. Let these people be. If they hurt you personally, discuss personal businesses personally. Don’t come and wash your dirty clothes outside. It’s not worth it and it doesn’t speak well of you and the body of Christ. Thank you for having me, I remain Testimony.

    I was neutral as regards what you were saying until it got to the birthday celebration saying 70 hrs of non stop praise. This is a sign of bitterness and resentfullness towards pastor adeboye. If you don't celebrate your birthday it does not mean others doing it are wrong. Let us know what is paining you exactly so we can get the true picture.

    Daddy, i salute your courage for coming out to say this sir. However, i believe no one is above discipline sir. Let us not judge daddy G.O because of Iluyomade's suspection. After all, it was suspension that led to transferred. There are many wrongs of Iluyomade that never mentioned or judge, but this Wigwe issues is highly intensive sir.

    Without doubt, the insensitive 60th birthday bash of Pastor Iluyomade has brought him the disrepute universally which eroded whatever good that could have been attributed to him. The G.O. couldn't have ignored the public outcry against RCCG. If the Pastor wasn't disciplined, it would have caused many ripples and deepen disaffection in the Church.

    We should all treasure our God and know the God we serve in order to be strong and do exploits. However, to invoke the God of a Spiritual leader under who we serve or derive spiritual nourishment in appropriate circumstances is not against Bible traditions. Elisha did it in: 2 Kings 2:11-14 MSG And so it happened. They were walking along and talking. Suddenly a chariot and horses of fire came between them and Elijah went up in a whirlwind to heaven. Elisha saw it all and shouted, “My father, my father! You-the chariot and cavalry of Israel!” When he could no longer see anything, he grabbed his robe and ripped it to pieces. Then he picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him, returned to the shore of the Jordan, and stood there. He took Elijah’s cloak-all that was left of Elijah!-and hit the river with it, saying, “Now where is the God of Elijah? Where is he?” When he struck the water, the river divided and Elisha walked through.

    There is also the place of Culture and traditions in our lives depending on how our BIOLOGICAL FATHERS AND MOTHERS raised us or the parts of the world we grew up in etc.. even when we are Christians. We should let culture have it's place to the extent that it does not conflict with scriptural injunctions and instructions. In my culture the Concept of fatherhood is not straitjacketed. That's why I feel very comfortable to call you PAPA EAGLE OR BÁBA FAFOWORA ni Amerika with 100% respect without feeling that I have broken any scripture because in my FATHER LAND, I was trained to respect Elders and Leaders both in age and distinguished service. They can be a Bába ( father) in the faith or in their craft. You are one of such people we regard as Fathers. For example, Outside the Church, While in University we had few acknowledged Professors everyone called Baba ( father) even fellow Professors call them Father. A recent example is the late Prof Ayo Banjo, who was widely regarded by thousand of Nigerian University alumni and leaders from his area of influence ( academia) as a Father due to his distinguished service and character whereas he was not even old enough to be the biological father of many who called him father. That's the culture.

  • @silasajimijaye1855
    @silasajimijaye1855Ай бұрын

    The position of a Biological father is obviously without controversy, Also, spiritual fatherhood is not a strange concept in Scripture. It is Bible based, the challenges arises from how it has been weaponised in some quarters as an instrument of fear or manipulation, The mentoring and training of a Spiritual father when appropriately applied with the fear God is indispensable for success in life and ministry. 1 Corinthians 4:15 NLT For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you.

  • @silasajimijaye1855

    1 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT So I urge you to imitate me. [17] That's why I have sent Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of how I follow Christ Jesus, just as I teach in all the churches wherever I go. [18] Some of you have become arrogant, thinking I will not visit you again. From the above Paul was able to appropriate and deploy the office of a Spiritual Father to the Corinthians to ensure orderliness among the believers and point them to the Ultimate Saviour and Our Lord, Jesus Christ!

    This is a very far reaching episode. The most difficult answer for almost all is “l don’t know” especially on issues of religion. Questions that answers are just manufactured from faulty interpretation of the Scripture are forced on people. Fear has been the weapon used to make authentic questions deeply unable to be unraveled. I think Pastor Fafowora used a deep understanding to get to the minds of young ones. Scientific tools and information is culling for more questions. Respect and tolerance will bring clarity to our religious climate. Good one.
