The feeling of creating your own world that you can get lost in is unmatched you just feel so proud
I don't think I have ever subscribed so fast to a KZread channel. Been storytelling for 5 years now and my map is really due for a remake, but restarting campaign cartographer gives me panic attacks lol. This is exactly what I was looking for. Inkarnate here I come!
r/worldbuilding preparing to end your bloodline because you used an online tool instead of 36 ancient mapping techniques, don't have 3 degrees in archeology, geography, and Ancient History, didn't spend 8 years searching for the Holy Grail and didn't meet at least 2 Roman Emperors in person
Those names are the worst I've ever seen. Why tf does the map, the 2D, seen from above map, randomly cut to a view of space?! "Pollutia" "Galactia" "Alienia" "Metaversia" lmao this has got to be a parody.
Great now I have to go renew my inkarnate subscription
Omg what is this called
What is the Program?
This is a real gem 💎 ❤
world building with inkarnate and other beginner tools: 😂❤😊 world building when you actually care about how the map looks and you have to paint each individual coastline and nation border: ☠️👹🪦
Me: Makes map FUCK, its just europe! *flips table*
Thank you for posting this. I'm playing with writing fantasy and was interested, inspired by Tolkien, to explore fictional languages. I appreciate the system you've put together here. I'm sure I'll be coming back to check this video out again.
The website is called Inkarnate
Pinned comment already says it all
Then the computer crashes you boot it back up but it either didn’t save or the save corrupted the one time you needed it not to and then you give up cause life has no purpose or joy anymore. The next day you get up start over again and everything goes well.
But it will never be the same as the first attempt.
Website name?
Inkarnate but i recommend azgaars fantasy generator (it looks better in my opinion)
Inkarnate

What’s the website
Inkarnate
Thank you SO MUCH for making this short. I never would've discovered Inkarnate. It's so fun to use.
Hate that you have to pay to make real good stuff on there
You should get worldbox, pretty much the same thing as this except you can place down people and watch them create civilizations and watch them progress in technologies
App name?
It’s a website called Inkarnate
What’s that big orchestra at the end? Sounds like something from sea of thieves
The song is from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. I'm not sure if the ending is from that same song.
The ending is from how to train your dragon
LOL nice naming of the seas
Agreed, it’s my favorite bit of writing a world
First Time: 😒 Last Time: 😱

The baby crying😢😂😂
I think they like your Wife❤🎉😂
Once in 2018, I spent a month and a half detailing my own map using this program, I scrapped the first three ideas and the end result was magnificent. I still have it in a folder somewhere.
So what does it feel like?
fantastic!
literally accurate
frick you're right
youtuber recommendation has been giving bangers after bangers lately.
I wanted to get this off my chest but two things that annoy me the most about some world building is making a writing system that's just English 2.0. The only example I have of this is Star Wars with Aurebesh, pretty much every time it's used in the franchise it's just English because all the letters follow the exact same rules as English ones, even the name Aurebesh is Or-eb-esh so it has the same rule of making two combined letters make a different sound from the letters that make it so I question what point of having a different writing system is in the first place. I digress of course but my other point was when names are made a bit over generic. Over using the ending suffix ia was one I noticed like take a name. Let's say galaxy remove the y and put ia so galaxia, or just name stuff only expecting English speakers to see it or just not have interesting language variety at all. Just my personal gripes though
I need pro and I cannot buy subscriptions add a lifetime subscription please
One thing Ive noticed irl especially in small towns is name re-useing ir just odd names in general, Albany Wyoming, Albany is also new yorks capital Bordeaux Wyoming, also a French port city, there was a place called Chugwater. Basically name re-useing is seen as lazy but it surprisingly seems to have a precedent although it may be trolls editing there's a non zero possibility of that but idk
Realistic worldbox be like:
“Ghibli hills” gave me flashbacks way back into anime’s made by studio ghibili
Wim sea is the best place name
I've changed from cutting rivers into the background to actually painting rivers as a layer on top, much more realistic
woahhhh looks so bad!!! great job
If only you gave an honest tutoiral instead of selling a guide. 0/10, then again, you're not a good content producer so you know that.
Never let bro cook again
What is this game
inkarnate, its a website
Tried doing this with paper.... BIG paper and just intentionally spilled coffee cuz I'm lazy😀 and made a world👌
It's a hard lesson to learn, but never forget it. HR is only there to protect the company. They are not there for you ever. Take these things with you and be wiser for them. Get everything in writing. After every discussion send a follow up email covering everything talked about and end with "Please let me know if I've misunderstood anything." The company must state in writing how your performance is measured. Their emotions are not metrics to be measure by. I know I'm armchair quarterbacking but I want to help you in the future; avoid saying "it's fine." What you're doing is verbally stating that in spite of your dissatisfaction you're legally accepting the company's actions. If you take them to court they're going to play back this recording. You aren't part of a team, or family; they are not your friends, or any of that BS. They exist to make money. Employees are tools, nothing more. In your mind you should see yourself as a business just like IBM, Ford, or Apple. Would they do work without a contract, or documented expectations and measured goals? Neither should you. I'm sorry for what's happened to you and I hope I've helped you for the future. Good luck in the future.
That lake/sea looks a lot like Luxembourg!
Try to have more rounded coastlines on terrain like deserts and forest, and only save the ruggedy coasts for rocky terrain
