So good! Thank you so much!
Now imagine what you could do with laser measurements and 3-D printing....
Pretty awesome 😎💯
We had a video presented to us in high school, 1979, of glen canyon before. Have never forgotten how beautiful it was.
P.S. I live in Moab and am an avid river runner. I’m good friends with Roy Webb and I just shared the link to this fine presentation with him. Once again, thank you very much for making this available via KZread, it’s greatly appreciated!
Excellent, thank you!
ita just a nice name lol hahaha
The Mayan deliberately burying their own carvings in mud to preserve them from weathering is hardly the norm, is it? Admittedly Gobekli Tepe was said to have been buried, but nobody is claiming that there's a connection in this 'practice' of back filling, either. I personally find the idea that we're not going to see anything original in this site, with every thing on show being a mock-up, unbelievable. A replica means we can no longer distinguish its authenticity from a modern fake! It's a ridiculous arrangement where the archeologists simply meet the Berlize tourist boards expectations.
The ash and charcoal across the floor of the structure makes me ponder the world wide volcanic winter aka the worst year to be alive 536 CE
❤❤
48:00 this relies on assumptions based on modern traditions not evidence. Whether they be yours or the natives, there's no way you could prove a war party "only" consisted of a few teenaged boys armed with bows... It certainly wasn't the type of force they'd use to attack the conquistadors or the colonists in later years. Do you seriously think they'd send such an ineffective force to raid a settlement of 150 people? We call this a strawman argument and it is an unnecessary one. There are no signs of major conflict in the southwest prior to Spanish contact, which is all one needs to cite to thoroughly refute any warfare hypothesis. Wars leave behind undeniable concentrations of evidence that cannot hide behind any argument.
Fascinating! Thank you.
I’m as reactionary as a small-town Texan can be, but after a half-dozen trips to southern Utah I’ve decided the dam is an abomination.
THEY BURIED THE PAST OF MY PEOPLE WITH WATER.
Thanx for the video! I am semi-retired , bought land here to live a simple life, watched lots of this areas videos... Yours is one of few I wish were longer.
Thanks for the comment. Our intention is to make the video longer but it's always a question of cost.
Great video. thank you so much
Indeed a very interesting and entertaining lecture. I only saw a few of the Belize Maya ruins, but I need to return to the Maya world every 10 years.
take down the dam
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Sure was a lot of destruction in the 1800's, especially the late 1800's, to these, possibly, thousands of years old civilizations. Coincides with the Calvery and the price put on the scalps of Native American People, from 25 cents, to $5! The Calvery and vigilantes, were ordered to "Exterminate" the Nature American People. Even women and children. $5! Can you imagine! That was a lot of money back then. So much history has been lost. We really need to preserve these sites. There's still so much to learn. Thank You for the videos. Very interesting.
Again so look into the black hole theory if it's supposed to be an ultimate prison so how does the body evolve from within the black
Mostly a good video, the end has some nonsense global warming crap. It's a power play and money grabbing scam. It's not human caused and CO2 has nothing to do with temperature. If you really want to know about climate view Tony Heller on yt. He has the documentation to back up his theories.
Awesome Presentation
Was Cotton used by the Sinagua?
for clothing and food
An exceptional lecture. Instant sun to the channel
Great admin!
HELLOOO MY METEOROİTEN FRENDS İ EM OLSO METEOROİTEN FAN MY METEOROİTEN İN MY CANEL..
Ancient Native Americans are thought to have had a spiritual connection with iron oxide or “red ochre” as they named it. It’s thought that it was viewed as a sacred substance. It has been regularly found in burials and ritual areas all across the Americas. Iron oxide was also one of the first paints and pigments for faces, clothing, pottery and cave paintings. Combine that with the rock coming from the sky and I’m sure they looked at it just like the Coke bottle in the 1980 film “The Gods Must Be Crazy”.
This guy predicted the future 10 years ago! Get rid of the dam and return the canyon to its natural beauty!! The dams are just screwing up things anyway!
Fab
What an Amazing Man, a Dream Assignment, preserving & sharing you ancestral sites & culture with the World.
I made the mistake of moving to Camp Verde, AZ! After recovering financially from a divorce, busted my Ar$E to get another home, HATE paying rent! Moved to Camp Verde thinking it would be a GREAT retirement area! Sedona, Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Prescott and Phoenix an hour and a half away! I bought a cheaper mobile in a section of town that was just annexed by the city from the county. Was promised the city was going to pass ordinances making some of these people clean up their trashy property and WAS planning to take the mobile home out and build a nice retirement home! Well, 10 years later and wasting a lot of time and effort, my white trash neighbor still let's his grass grow up to 5 foot, he's a drunk and is a total nightmare of a neighbor, his property should be condemned. It's NOT just him, in about a 3 block area, at least 50% of the properties are run down junk yards! Waist high grass, junk cars, piles of trash all throughout their property! Bunch of good old boys around who care NOTHING about cleaning up their town, increasing property and resale values! The city government is a joke! The politicians care only about one thing, appeasing these losers just to get their vote and care NOTHING about growing and improving their communities! You DO NOT want to invest your hard earned money and retire in this backwards dump of a town! I've met with the Mayor, several city council members and got nothing but excuses and lip service!
I miss cornville
Q> How do you compliment a woman or man from Cornville? A.> Nice tooth

REPENT GOD IS PUNISHING AMERICA FOR IT'S SINS AROUND THE WORLD !😢😢😢
It’s so sad why they did here. As someone from a younger generation, I first learned about the wonders of Glen Canyon from John McPhee’s “Encounters with the Archdruid”, about David Brower.
Like
It’s almost back to its natural state now, they are finding everything from before it was flooded.

Keep your FAITH in Jesus Christ and in yourself.
I guess 🐷 have nothing better to do than harass scientists collecting samples?
Olá pois eu tenho um canal no KZread: Leon detectorismo e nesta minha pesquisa, eu achei um ferro parecendo com um meteorito. Pois como faço pra vende-lo? Obrigado!
Wow, what a spectacular compound. Anyway…. Give the land back. It was better off in their hands.
That's not a lake. That's a cover up of history .. so the lies they taught in school would go less challenged .. what a reveal to us in this present day ...
What! This dudes a bafoon, get a real native in here
I found more meteorite weight was 1150gramsgreen colour!
Break the damn!!
The more time I spend in the area, the more convinced I am that the dam was a huge mistake and what a tragedy it was to inundate one one of the greatest wonders of the natural world. I spend a few weeks every year down there exploring away from the water. The re-emergence of the canyon and its wonders is something to behold.
