I simply can't see how we are making a leap from last season at all, in terms of coach and players both, i think we will struggle to be second this season yet alone put the second star on our badge..and now another year without a title is another year lost....

@@MartinoPuccio I'm not judging Fonseca before i see him line the team up, let's give him that, but the fact that this summer there were more proven coaches available (who ask for players btw) and none of them arrived talks a lot about the policy of the club, secondly i don't know what we aim for if not the title after this last few years, but with Fonseca and plus being his first year, very doubtful about it, so no, I don't think is dramatic at all, i think is reality.

Good podcast gents. For me I would trade Leao with Man City for Julian Alvarez and also get Chiesa from Juventus. I don’t think Leao will fit the style Fonseca wants to play and Leao will need to adapt immediately because he seems to do well when he has open spaces to run at defenders. Leao was horrible for Portugal at the Euros because he struggled to play a possession style football. Fonseca wants Milan to have a more possession base attack which means keeping the ball more and not be over reliant on a counter attacking play. Therefore, we should trade Leao for Alvarez and sign Chiesa. Move Pulisic to the LW and have Chukwueze and Chiesa battle it out on the RW. Okafor is a really good striker so we don’t need to sign a 31yr old Fulkurg. As for the midfield, Milan should sell Adli and Pobega. Sign Fofana, Samardžić or Richard Rios from Colombia who plays for Palmeries. We need a new RB. Kalulu should not be the answer. Royal is a good RB and don’t understand why some fans think little of him. Go look at his time at Real Betis and you will see that his time at Tottenham was just a not so good experience which can happen to any player. Defense we should sign Pavlovic and Emerson Palmieri. Forza Milan!

Cardinale and Redbird showed last season that they are willing to spend in the transfer market but they mostly target players with a year or less remaining on their contract. So I’m not surprised by Morata signing. This is smart business and Morata is a leader in the dressing room and a SERIAL WINNER who doesn’t choke like Lukaku. Zirkzee was being bought for his potential and nothing more and that was a huge RISK. As long as Milan sign the right players to improve the squad then I am fine with it. I do think that the next striker should be a young promising striker who is ready for the next level like Jhon Duran or Maximilian Beier so they can learn under Morata without pressure.

Morata is a solid signing. Regularly gets 15+ goals a season. He could be able to link up with Leao and Pulisic really well. Also I doubt this is our only striker signing this season. We should be able to get one other deal done.

I was pessimistic about Morata when he was at juve he used to miss sitters and hardly could score. But since athletico and winning the cup with Spain being their main forward I think now is the right time and he knows Serie a. Good purchase.

I think he's a really stout signing. He comes with tons of high level experience at different leagues and has won A LOT. He'll be the leader the team will lack after loosing Simon and Kjaer. Milan clearly has a poan for Camarda and are willing to wait to see what they have in him rather than desperately spending 50 mil+ on the next overrated, hot young striker that will eventually phase out after 1-2 seasons.

I'm not worried about Morata's age, I'm worried because it's Morata. A striker notorious for being bad at finishing. Personally I don't see Milan at fault for the Zirkzee collapse. The clubs found an agreement, if Zirkzee's agent thinks he has to charge an abnormal fee, it's not Milan's fault for avoiding bad business. And of course it's Man United who signs him now, a club who has a reputation of making bad deals. I'm more dissapointed that Milan didn't manage to find anyone more exiting than Morata after Zirkzee fell through. Looking forward to what Fofana can do for us.

I think Zirkzee's agent was purposely demanding more commissions to scare off teams that aren't in the PL. Today's football is about the money and unfortunately that's in England. Milan has never been a team to go all in on an expensive player.

I don't have a problem with Morata per se, but with the management. When chasing a striker like Zirkzee and possible ending up with Morata, two players so different, it says a lot why we got Fonseca and not a more established coach, because apparently he does have no say in what players the club brings, sort of a 'yes man'. Once again, 'gel boy' shows he's at Milan just for money, because to my understanding if last summer they had to fix a lot of gaps in our squad, this summer was suppose to invest in quality and for me Morata is not, not to mention the other names we're link up with.

What about Richard Rios from Colombia, he is an excellent player and would so much depth to our squad. He is 24 and plays for Plameiras! You know the difference between Milan before and Milan now. It was the scouting! Yes we have social media now where you can see so many youngsters and promising talent vs back then when it was word of mouth. I will tell you though, the reason we got Kaka is because of our bloody scouting! Moncada needs to do better with his scouting! He needs to take his backside to South America and we should have deals with so many youngsters already. Echeverri just signed with Man City! We should have had Echeverri signed to us! Crazy thing is so many of the South American’s have italian heritage and it makes it so much easier

I hear what you are both saying about Morata, maybe he will be a better fit under Fonseca’s system but I know that once Leao and Chuckweze are on a break we need a striker who can trail in for a goal. Morata misses too many big chances in big games and it is consistent. The unseen stats are the ones that I worry about with him. He is a good price, excellent I would say fundamentally, but very poor at converting specifically in 1v1s and clear goal opportunities. If he did that consistently he would be top 5 strikers in the world right now. To both of your points - okay so we get a good striker in Morata, now the expectation is for the money to be put into a quality CB that we need the most as well as a quality Holding Midfielder or quasi box to box/holding Midfielder/Defensive Midfielder and I think more emphasis on defensive since Fonseca plays in a system that requires the CDM to drop into a CB position at sometimes to create freedom for the fullbacks. The question becomes, what happens if they don’t spend the money and use the same strategy they are utilizing with Morata in the striker position in the CB and CM/CDM position. The glaring issue is Milan’s inability to close deals. We get everything set up prep the media and the fans with rumors and then it falls through. I have no expectations that Fofana will come to Milan because we take so long to negotiate that someone else comes in and swoops it up like yesterdays dinner. I also have no expectations that we will sign a quality CB and instead go for a CB that is young and has the possibility of being great in the next 3-5 years. How have Juventus beat us to signing Thuram? That should have been a done deal for Milan. From the day the market opened he should have been signed and getting ready for medicals? The part that really pisses me off is that there is so much bloody talent that we miss on. An easyyyyy easyyyyy example is Udogie. We need a replacement for Kessie. Udogie is Italian and was relatively not well known until he went to Tottenham. Milan should have pounced on him as soon as we sold Kessie. There are quality players out there that fit the bill and are good investments yet we will choose to go for a loan with no clause on purchase. We developed Brahim for Madrid. Now they want Arda Guler on a loan with no intent to purchase? Come on!
