I'm actually starting to warm into Fonseca. Been a fan of Milan since 90's, and honestly, since Capello's 2nd stint at Milan, Milan never hired a "winner" as a manager (Fatih Terim being exception). Ancelotti, Allegri (and later, Pioli) were not winners before Milan, with Ancelotti famously being known as Mr. 2nd place. Brilliant episode, as always ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Hi Martino, I’m a Milan fan and love your podcast. I’d like to provide a suggestion: I think instead of uploading one video of 50 minutes, you can create 2-3 short videos. For example- one short video on Zirkzee, one short video on CDM. This way, subscribers will be able to watch entire content. They won’t need to sit for 50 minutes continuously to watch the entire video. All fans and subscribers here, let me know your thoughts on what you think and if you agree with my suggestion. Martino point of correction the 10% sell on release clause is still active. Milan only reduced the 23M euros to 22M, reduced by 1M. And then again Wieffer and Fofana are two different players. Wieffer is a DM. Fofana is not a DM. He’s more of a CM. But I think he’s been confused as a DM cos of his physicality and all. You watch Fofana at Monaco and is always flanked with Camara who is an actual DM. So if we sign Fofana we still haven’t solved the DM issue. Fofana is a more Bennacer replacement. Wieffer is a good DM. If we get him it’ll help

CDM is more important than some fans think

I’m definitely willing to give Fonseca a chance and if he’s able to clean up the defensive errors that we have given up the last few years while maintaining the offense output that we were able to show last season, I think Fonseca can lead Milan to a trophy, whether it’s the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, or European silverware remains to be seen.

@@SAFFRONINFERNOwhat about his short stint at Roma..???....he finishing in 5th place, it was considered a 'failure' by some, but you've got to remember the context and the tense environment he was walking into when he took that job.....the majority of the stars and core players that had previously beaten Barca to reach the semi-finals of the UCL in 2017 were all sold by Monchi, their sporting director at the time (if anyone deserves the blame for his failure at Roma it's more on him than any call by the manager) and that whole team was in complete disarray just before he took over....Mo Salah & Allison were sold to Liverpool, Pjanic had left the year before to Juve, both Nainggolan & Strootman were sold, De Rossi moved to Boca Juniors (so pretty much their whole starting midfield were gone), Totti had just retired, Rudiger, their mainstay in defence went to Chelsea, Bruno Peres was sold as well as a few other like promising youngsters like Paredes to Zenit etc, etc...any decent manager wouldve struggled under those conditions at Roma at the time to be fair...i'd even go as saying he overachieved at what he had at his disposal in his time there...they were mostly young players with no experience of Serie A or rookies completely new to the club...just saying

Theres definitely an overwhelming amount of agendas. Its to the point where a Harvard graduate is clueless, where we have on of the best mercatos in summer 23 yet its apparently appaling. A lot of Milan "fans" need to stop pointing fingers at other collectives and look inwards. Id ask for a bit of objectivity but thats pushing it looking at social media platforms
