I'm a volunteer at the Alice and John Coltrane home in Dix Hills Long Island. I work with Jazz musicians to create social media footprints and platforms. I worked in my community to get a Park named for the great Betty Carter, a street renamed for both the legendary pianist Randy Weston and Hip Hop artist Biggie Smalls.
I'm presently working to get a street renamed for the iconic drummer Max Roach. I started this podcast to bring information about music, culture, fashion, and politics to a community of people who enjoy these topics.

My friends, it is not white Jesus or black Jesus It’s just simply Jesus Christ The savior for all men
the jacket he's wearing is stunning, so interesting, colorful and fun but without being obnoxious at all, which is hard to do when making flashier clothing
Thanks for this.
Mr. Workman is a global treasure. So glad I found this interview.

How in the fuck do you go from knowledge of yourself to preaching white Jesus?…this is hustling backwards in its true definition
So now he preaching white Jesus? WTF 😮😮😮

I love the jazz stuff. You have come a long way from the Ace Frehley fan giving dorm room concerts at Harding. I married a jazz bassist. My predilections lean toward Chet Baker, Art Pepper, and Wes Montgomery. I sure love Miles and John Coltrane, God bless you my Brother, ~ T Chi Sigma Alpha
That's my Auntie Rita! Sharp as a tack. I love her so much.

Nazism, Marxism, and Islamism are not compatible with a civilized way of life.
Dedicated to you too my dear departed brother Kevin W Thorbourne!
We need a documentary ❤
Love how the camera man asked questions like he does. Those suits are very nice. I would hate to see the bill for that suit. Probably a 5 grand suit when it's all said and done. Very nice though
Iam working still on my project on Linda Jones, who I consider the best of the the top twelve singers of all time( Linda Jones, phillyls hyman Sarah Vaughn, ruby Nash, Angela winbush, Gladys knight , Marilyn mcCool, patty LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Brenda Holloway, Billie holiday , jean carne. In my opinion these are the twelve best singers to ever record in history: from essences of Jamal of DC.
It's schueld to start be finished in early November 2023/ from essences of Jamal of DC.
😊
Fred Bubbsy? Who is ...the person?
God bless you all. I am a Linda Jones fan, I miss her.
I love Linda Jones, she could sing. Hypnotized was wonderful, she jammed it up.
Imho I think it was special, beautiful ✨
I do a tribute to Linda Jones every last Saturday in December, the month of her birth. Such an impressively phenomenal talent and a true treasure! @@@*** Sembene Nathanyahu, in Chicago ***@@@
Wonderful 💯👍🏽☺️😊😌😍
George Coleman and Eric Alexander are my absolute favorite tenor players outside of my man Grover. These guys are masters of their horns and jazz music. I mean I grew up listening to The Jazz messengers, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Stanley Turrentine, Grover Washington Jr, Houston Person, Eric Alexander, George Coleman, Jimmy Smith, The jazz crusaders (formerly the young rabbits) Wayne Shorter, Clifford Brown, Charles Earland, Johnny Hammond and the list goes on for me. I have such an extensive jazz collection that I could run my own Jazz station. I played the tenor and my knowledge of the music is extremely impressive. I remember when I was a kid and I first got into jazz, I loved them big bands and orchestras! Maynard Ferguson and Stan Kenton was it for me back then. Joey DeFranseco came out some years later and just took the world by storm with his speed, technique and fiery tunes. I was a huge fan of the Hammond B-3 and Earland was my absolute favorite. It’s funny because I got into George Coleman when he did a record with Charles called Smokin that was nothing but fire! I got hip to Eric from his years with Earland as well. That was one thing I could say about the Burner man, he kept those hard driving tunes burning and could play the B-3 for real. These guys know what to play and when to play it, especially with them solos man. Well keep up the good work and keep bringing us all this good music and history.
Miss Jones has a serious catalog of great songs for a sister who lived a short life. She is the quintessential vocal powerhouse of all time! I include her in a best seller, "Whisper's Getting Louder", that I am now writing. She is by no means "gone". I contend that Linda, like my mother, is still here! Long Live Linda!
@@@*** Sembene, in Chicago ***@@@ Long Live Linda!
The man is elite.
The music is so free!
When I was a child Robert taught me music and I had a love for it ever since
Thank you sir for your gift of music to the world... and thank you Nas for introducing a new generation to it.
Heart touching!
Unsung should have done a show about Linda Jones.
💯 Exactly 💯💯‼️
Thank you Mr. Lacks Carter
May they all rest peacefully in eternity. I still have a truckload of cassette tapes of Open Line broadcasts, circa 2003-2006, as well as the Week In Review broadcast- which was the same trio, augmented with Peter Noel & Charles W. Ethridge... that used to air Sunday night at 11 pm. I used to tape these shows every Sunday morning, and evening respectively...
One of the real reasons why New York won't build more public housing is because they want to kick, all the poor people out and bring in the wealthy. it's not just New York; you can see it in most major cities; They are all being gentrified most people are moving out because they can't afford the high rent; in most major cities. The old New York is gone; you could see it happening after 911. Peace and blessing Conrad.
Mr Hunter: I was poor inner city kid Cleveland, Ohio basketball was my savior when I had too much time in my hands. I would go down to the church yard to play. My mom took me to see the team play.
