Anyone else seeing the climate change warning in this video?
It’s not Samsung fault.
Price Gouging, like a well-known real estate company (not named here) and their buying up of homes to resell at inflated prices... kind of like that?
In my 20s i wanted to visit America really bad but when you are young you can't afford it,now i do have the money i'm in the UK ! (now 52) i can't wait to avoid the place ! (sorry if any Americans see this) by the way,it's not a disrespect thing,it's just the way things have gone, but to be fair it hasn't been any better in the UK ! but we do have better laws on privacy here ! we have GDPR ! you can Google it !

$30 Ironman TIMEX for life, baby!!!! Been wearing them for over 20 years. An analog watch by today's standards of apps and shit.
Bro. Thank you for your public service. Although I'm European, I too feel this is happening here. When you buy a new car you can't use it until you accept terms and conditions that make you wave away your right to privacy. These companies are worldwide conglomerates and they just adjust slightly to each market. Unfortunately only a few like yourself are aware and put in the effort to help us fight back. Keep up the great work.
Scalping isn't wrong. If I have the capital to buy cars to create scarcity, I have every right to non coercion sales at any price i want
One problem I have is whenever I charge the speed, pitch, anything on a clip, the audio quality plummets cataclysmically, like it becomes Loud House Movie looking like Avengers Endgame levels of low quality.
When you give someone a lot of power, we ultimately suffer, everytime! Check history.
When you read some of the comments some weenies make on Louis's videos you understand what the problem is.
50,000 dollar fine to sell your car? Isn't that just depreciation? +Sees cybertruck+ Ah.
Accusing him of counterfeiting is libel/slander
High maintenance woman? Nice, you learn something every day. Nice series.
I see it in a different way: LG is selling TVs at a price that already factors in the profits they plan to make on selling your data. If you buy their TV and disable data sharing (and remain vigilant about changes in their privacy policy and settings) you are lowering their margins and you get a TV at a relatively reduced price. Regarding Tesla, you slightly misinterpreted (or mischatacterized) their policy. It's not that you can't sell the car, it's that if you want to sell it they have first option to buy it at the original purchase price minus depreciation. Yes, this still infringes on the buyers rights, but it's not the same as an outright sale ban and it only affects those that buy the car with the plan to make a profit on it by selling it right afterwards.
You forgot to mention that tesla will buy the cybertruck back during the first year. I suppose that's because it goes against your idea that they are not doing it to stop scalping.
I say the dumbass signed the contract, that's on him. Don't be a dumbass.
Every video seems to get increasingly more fed up. There is no shortage of consumer rights nightmare content.
Louis, normally I’m with you on most things, but not this time. He literally signed himself up for it. The no sales clause is hardly a new phenomenon, car manufacturers have done for years to protect their brands when releasing hot cars. Tesla was upfront about no sale clause, it’s a part of the sales contract that he signed. The buyer has two options according to the contract he signed when he bought the truck. He can sell it back to Tesla for the amount he paid, less mileage and wear, or if Tesla declines he can sell it without penalty. Of course, if he didn’t like this, he shouldn’t have bought a CyberTruck. Other Teslas don’t have this stipulation.
I get your point, but I also want anything/everything done to prevent flipping things like new car models. It just needs to be done smartly, not Tesla’s way. But I’m totally in favor of deterring that sort of behavior. As for LG, I understand the frustration but it’s probably down at 100 or 200 on my list of annoying crap to deal with these days.. and at least there’s an option to turn it off. The battle I’d like to see first is a general “must explicitly opt in” to receive spam emails/mail/calls. There should be a checkbox of normal size that must be checked to opt in, rather than burying it in minuscule text when making a purchase or creating an account.
We. are. all. fucked. What a time to be alive!
Their ultimate goal is to stop anyone-not-them selling anything their branding is on. They also want to make the shape/paint color/whatever copyright/tm/whatever IP to the brand so you can't take a photo either. You can't sell what you cannot list, name, describe nor display an image of. You can talk about their products to help THEM sell new ones though. That will be overlooked...so long as you're in the approved demographic that is.
If you're dumb enough to buy a Tesla, then you get what you deserve.
I really hope these companies get the living hell fined out of them for practices like this, while people start to buy their products less. That would be the only wake up message to them.
I agree… But why didn’t the dude measure his parking spot and check the specs? It’s like those people who order shit off Amazon and then review it with 1 star saying it was smaller than expected, when the specs are displayed in the description.
which link is Steves calibrating tool board??
😂maybe that’s why we’re finding so many of these on marketplace “flooded”
What a scumbag, l’m sure this behaviour occurs in a lot of industries.
Speaking of Ford, did you know that a fleet vehicle of theirs (transit 150) doesn't have a dip-stick for checking the transmission fluid? How you are supposed to check the fluid is to level the vehicle, remove the left front tire, remove the transmission fluid resivor bolt, and visually check with a flashlight.
As someone who was buying producs that have ton of scalpers i cant say this is very wrong. If they think its an oportunity, scalpers gonna buy half of everything for sale. (Toos was my case) Tho this store didnt care, im not sure. Also it was quite clear in terms of purchase that he cant sell the car for some time. I usually agree with your content but here would be interesting to have further debate.
The man at Emacs Elements YT channel agrees with you. Where's the link to the FTC?
I'm starting to pirate movies so I don't have to have streaming services and can have them in MY FILES and on MY HARD DRIVE (2TB)
Again, the backlash should have started much earlier. I'm old enough to remember when the phone co. would charge you for an unlisted number. How was that not extortion and how is that not inspiration for the future?
Personal property isn't respected by anyone anymore. If Tyson could figure out a way to sue people for sharing food with friends they would at this point. The rights of the customer need to be actually defended and these companies need to get their legal teeth kicked out. Sale complete, they should have no more say on what happens next.
open source car when
Tesla has been doing all kinds of "you'll own nothing"-level shit for years, from nerfing their cars with ransomware right to the latest shit with the cyber truck. I will never do business with them.
Our household used to have a Netflix account, but once all of the things that we actually watched was removed and the price went up, we went back to either buying DVD's or pirate. Today, I mainly watch anime through piracy, mainstream media through our publicly funded TV and Radio stations (Those are pretty great where I live) or buys DVDs when I really want to actually have a physical copy.
to buy that ugly-ass "truck" you have to keep it for a year? BWAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAA! nope.
Democratically fucked 😂
Thank-you Louis, it is good that you make us aware of this stuff.
Actually ran into another channel that covered the Adobe thing and when I used the special word describing their mentality the only response I got was about the choice of word and how the descriptive words BEHIND that word seemed more apt (I.E. - forced to accept things they don't want to, not given choice, not allowed to say no) to which I got no response when illuminating I wasn't calling adobe rapists, but that rapist *mentality* is a different thing than the crime itself and is far more publicly widespread and seemingly *accepted* given how people fight against rape but defend rape mentality in business and more.
I can't deny scalpers are a problem especially as a toy collector but I ain't denying the bullshit factor here.
How is a “fine” even enforceable? Do they send you a bill? Even if you signed a piece of paper wouldn’t the courts find it unenforceable?
I like the don't buy an LG TV notice. I have a customer that when I log into their WiFi the LG TV prompts me to log in with my KZread account. Screw off LG TV!
What TV brand do you recommend sticking with?
In Spanish there's a saying "no escupas hacia arriba", as in don't spit upwards, because you'll end up spitting on yourself. As in, don't think what's happening to someone, can't happen to you.
