    I agree with this!... RS back story sounded epic and was just mentioned... I wanna here more about this 'Club' that he part owned when he was 19 1/2.... And the multiple record deals including with Zeps Swan Song Label!!!!!.... Ritchie Samabora & Friends Band. and auditioning for KISS!!!!. I mean I think he actually says that he and Jon were doing the 'same thing'.... 'Just hustling and trying to get in the door'. They could have made more of the Blaze of Glory and Stranger in this Town era as well... As soon as Jon felt he could 'Be in charge'.... He put everyone on salary. That was the day Ritchie became a sideman... Its a shame, HE WAS Bon Jovi... and thats why everything after New Jersey sucks!... ;) (appart from the solo records). I mean listen to The Answer on Stranger In This Town.... and then try telling me he wasnt all that and a bag of chips!...

    come on guys; the only person who would get a record deal with one song and no band would have to have one thing and that is be super sexy which JBJ was. that's all there is to it. 2nd album flopped; DC came to rescue the investment of the record label. boom, end of story. ;-) btw, I love BJ, I'm just being brutally honest. cheers.

    You do make a good point, and we talked some about their looks and stage presence in the longer chat. Both Jon and Richie were poster quality front men. ✌️✌️✌️

    Amen guys! Richie is the real Rock Star of the band! And I'd even go a step further and say, the only real poet. Just like Nikki in Motley, the others are great performers and fun-lovin goofballs, Nikki was/ is the poet with the vision. And I think the same can be said about Bon Jovi and Richie. Jon nowadays says that it was and is a job, he is a singer, professional performer and business man, not more, not less, Richie however lived and bled Rock n Roll with his soul.

    I love Tom's stand-up, but I've never liked anything about Bert. That machine story is stupid, but hey, it got him famous and rich. I don't get the popularity of the Kardashians either, so obviously, I'm a terrible judge of what's good.

    I never watched it but I fully understand just by knowing who Bert is. He is washed up, he had a couple hood specials but always seems to be just not funny. Tom is pretty good to be frank though, probably just had a bad night or was held back if Tom was bad too.

    While Jon was a good singer, front man and obviously worked his ass off, there's something about him that doesn't come across as sincere. Sambora on the other hand is as real as it gets. A talented guitar player that oozes "Rock Star" because he is. Jon and Ritchie singing together was a great blend. But completely understand why he left the group.

  • @Bradybrandwood
    @BradybrandwoodКүн бұрын

    Yeah PorcelainLeigh good points, that might explain why the two of them together were such magic. Maybe the ying and the yang was the chemistry?

    I think its about who he is..I do think Jon is a nice guy, but he always has worries and thinking the big picture..look at the last shows at the New Jersey tour, he is on the phone like a got damned manager trying to get to play, while the other guys are all over the place drunk and getting high. When a guy never can just sit back and enjoy his sucsess, I think he just are more stressed and comes across a less sincere guy....By the way, kids gets old and I really like that Jon acts like a normal man, not with all these "rock star" vibes shit, like Nikki Sixx, VInce Neil types...and a little SAmbora..

    You kinda hit the nail on the head. Bert is not funny, never has been. Tom's alright though, and their presentation wasn't terrible. Nikki Glaser DESTROYED her set though. It was a shame having her go first among the comedians, she outperformed them all. True MVP. She made everybody after seem worse by comparison

    I am a huge Bon Jovi fan, but I think that “Thank You, Goodnight” was basically Jon’s “Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance” story. As much as the word “family’ is thrown around in Bon Jovi, the rest of the bank came across as sidekicks. Richie had a point, saying that he would of made it more about the music and songs and how they resonated with the fans globally; whereas, Jon made it about his vocal issues and everything hanging in the balance on that issue. Granted, they did go back in the past and relived selective history. It was still a compelling documentary. Thanks for the great reaction and oh yea, it is Iron Maiden’s Fear of the Dark is 32 years old today!! \m/

    first time seeing you guys. I'm 51 and love the F'ing 80's rock. I'll listen to you guys talk this topic all day. One band that still does well live and has been putting music out over the years is Maiden. I'd like to hear a discussion about them for sure. Saw them about 6 years ago and they still sounded great. keep up these conversations fellas, you'll slowly pick up a good following

    I Agree That Was 99% All About Jon & There Was Film From Richie's Interviews That Were Not Even Shown. RICHIE Was A Key Part Of How & Who Kept Jon Together For Those 30+ Yrs(Their Sexless Marriage & Richie Also Hit It When He Said "Are They Gonna Tell The Truth Or Lie"...There Is One Part Where All Of Them Are In The Studio & Richie & John Shanks Are Going Over Material & Richie Is Said Something &Shanks & Jon Totally Ignored What Richie Was Saying & The Hurt & Sound In Richie's Voice & The Way They Talked To Him Was As If What He Said Wasn't Important & You Can See It In His Eyes & You Say You Don't Know Why He Left--Why Would He Stay...You Said He Was Your Rt Hand Man & You All Loved Him - If I Loved Someone I Would Not Have Treated Him Like That...The Hurt In Hie Eyes Said So Much..& You Knew What Was Going On In His Life. The Pills He Used Were To Help Him Play All Those Shows When He Had The Busted Shoulder So You Didn't Have To Cancel Shows & That Is The Thanks He Gets-- & Just Losing His Dad & Then The Whole Mess With Heather Hitting Him & Having To Be A Dad( As He Did The Rt Thing- Ava Should Have Come 1st ) But Don't Sit There & Play Like You All Didn't KNOW WHY HE LEFT -- BULL. YOU ALL KNEW & TICO SAID IT- BON JOVI WAS THE SINGING OF RICHIE & Jon. 80% Was About Jon & His Voice Issues & Not The Key Story..Richie Said That Being In Bon Jovi Was Like Being In The Mafia & He Had To Get Out Or Richie Couldn't Take Care Of Richie..Richie Did What He Was Suppose To Do & If Jon Was As He Said "Waiting For The Knock On The Door For 10 Yrs - Why Didn't He Knock 1st. Richie Didn't Hurt Yo U Hurt & Chased Him Away..You Know Exactly What You Did..You Thought You Could Have BonJovi Without Richie. Neither Of Them Have Been The Same Since & I Pray If Richie Comes Back, He Is Treated With The Respect That He Should Be Shown Or You Will Have The Bad History Repeating Again & This Time I Think Will Distory What Is Good & Left About The Band.

    Jon Bon Jovi might not have partied as hard, but he doesn't fall, lol. I don't get it other than the rock life style must catch up with you later in life. I'm only a few years younger than all these guys. I go jogging and work out at the gym and I never fall. I'm retired, but I door dash for extra money and often times have to climb steep stairs and never fall. My grandmother didn't fall in her late fifties and sixties, either. These rocks stars are like 10 to 20 years older than they really are.
