    I love all these KZreadrs posting videos of “free” boats like they didn’t pay for it….🙄 I’ve been in the marine industry a LONG time and never seen one “free” boat like these guys just happen to pick up all the time.

    I assure you the boat was free. Long story with the boat, but the very nice older guy I got it from, ended up getting stuck with it due to a friend passing away, and wanted it gone. I originally declined the offer because I figured a free boat would be alot worse than this, but after checking the boat out, I couldn't help but take it.

    The safety hose from the fuel pump is supposed to feed into the carb fuel bowl, not the air intake. If there isn't a fitting on the carb for it then you must have a non marine carb.

    Picked up a 2017 5.0 with 110k noticed a rumble in the steering wheel at 55 mph on a light accel on coast or heavy accel it would go away. Have had this truck for 3 months this rumble is weak but it is there. When bought I had the trans pan dropped filter replaced a flush performed by a co worker at a dealership I worked at for 15 years no worries was done right. Today being a diesel tech in a Freightliner dealership for 17 years we have 10 other dealers and all of the other dealers send problem vibrations to us and have been fixed. My foreman says my ass is calibrated to fix vibrations 35 years in this gig. Have diagnosed this throttle induced vibration on class 8 trucks as being a loose yoke or worn out u joint straps zero axial play in my truck on the drive shaft. Today used the app bought by my employer in my i phone only used for warranty otherwise use my ass. Loaded in my truck and drove to work held it at 55 and looked at the result a forth order vibration engine related likely torque convertor. Shutter fix going in.

    We had a brand new Hammond boat in the late 70's, don't remember which model but it wasn't a bow rider and was around 20' length. It had a Ford Windsor 351 engine with a Holley 650 carburetor, which gave us a top speed of 65mph when it was trimmed just right. It was great for getting skiers out of the water quick and easy. It was a good quality boat, and it seems like the one you have has held up well over time. Best of luck getting it fully operational.

    I had this issue today, I was hitting a tabletop wide open 4th gear (really small tight track) up the face it got stuck and I over rotated somehow I saved it and pulled the clutch. Was revving it's tits off for 10sec idk how it didn't blow up. Did you fix it? If so how?Had lots of trouble throughout the rest of the day.

  • @ChaseBuiltBikes
    @ChaseBuiltBikes19 күн бұрын

    @@matthewnelson1108 there's a lot of reasons a two stroke throttle can hang or get stuck. My issue was the brand new cable I bought was actually too short. Make sure you check your throttle cable, make sure it operates smooth and there's no cable fraying, check your throttle tube, make sure it's not getting stuck with the grip on the end of the bar, check the throttle slide, for chips, or anything where it could hang in the carb. After that it could be related to a lean condition, make sure that your boot for your reed valve isn't dry rotted or tore where air could leak past, and also inspect your flywheel side crank seal for leaks, you can check the boot and seal by letting the bike idle, and spray some starting fluid around the boot, and around the seal and check if you have an increase in idle speed. I know that's a lot, but there's a lot of reasons. Throttle sticking is definitely scary, and very nice save! Most people panic and have a real bad crash.

Lower unit change engine oil change annually meaning spring to spring. There are some owners go neh but buy the most expensive boat they can find. i’ve seen it. half of me wants to take it away from them or give hard stern lesson because two your family members lives depends on going coming back in having fun to. Some it’s more money than Cents they just go you can tell those owners from its expensive i should do what’s required. Then they fuss cuss blame it on the brand or the boat.
