    @@Jedi_Luke sounds like I should get an axle back in the future for my IS250 then! Great video, brother. I have the same problem . I had not driven the car for a week, and it wouldn't start when zi tried to start it. Tried jumping the battery, no luck. The fab is not working as well. Replaced battery, no luck. I'll inspect the battery cables. Also, the windows don't work and after changing the fab battery the doors still won't unlock the doors. WTF.

  • @Jedi_Luke
    @Jedi_Luke24 күн бұрын

    These cars are extremely electrical. Weak batteries, dying alternators etc will cause all kinds of weird issues. Don't just throw parts at issues tho, get it properly diagnosed first. The windows can be reset easily if they still get power. Doors are possibly a blown fuse. Hope you get it figured out. Thanks for watching 👍

    This is the best video I've seen here. These other guys make a lot of extra work for them selves. I have a 2014 and thought being made in japan would make it better than an Explorer but NO. FoMoCo every where under the hood. My alternator is bad at 84k miles. I haven't had an alternator go out on any vehicle in 20 years. The water pump is behind 2 timing chains and when it leaks from the weep hole the fluid goes straight into the oil pan. Clearance is so tight and there is no gasket for the timing cover so its easier the do the job with the engine out.

  • @Jedi_Luke
    @Jedi_LukeАй бұрын

    Exactly. Some of these people wonder why I called these cars "junk". I currently have a 2010 Toyota Sienna and with 230k miles and it still has the original alternator and starter. That water pump job on the Mazda is just ridiculous and super expensive. There's no way I could ever own a car like that and I work on cars for a living lol.

    BEFORE U REPLACE MOTOR, READ THIS AND SAVE MONEY...Great video, never thought sound was the motors, but in the center. What I found was the piece of metal rod from motor to divertor door causing the noise. The clip holding it broke. So as the motor spins that piece of metal is Jamming the motor making that clicking noise. Bad thing Honda doesn't sell those clips. Will have to buy Door Lock replacement clips from Oreillys or Autozone. I got lucky and honda tech had clip close to one broken. So I pushed in and took tiny tiewrap around clip and rod. Problem fixed.

    My 2005 honda pilot jerks very very bad when switching between drive and reverse. It also slips a little between 1st and second gear. What do you suggest i do? It's an old car with about almost 300km on it. I don't know about the transmission service history. I bought it about 6 months ago. What do you suggest i do?

  • @Jedi_Luke
    @Jedi_Luke2 ай бұрын

    Just a simple drain and fill with OEM fluid. If that doesn't work then it's too late and the damage is already done. Start saving for a transmission rebuild or another vehicle. As for the jerking between drive and reverse that's most likely bad motor mounts.

    Use a adjustable crescent wrench on the top of the tention pully works wonders but you need someone to pull it forward makes it so easy sadly removing my alternator the wire harness is so old it just crumbled on me so it's ruined have to splice in a new pig tail and the video I watched previously showed the guy unbolting the entire motor 3 bolts and using a second jack to raise the motor a few inches and he literally just pulling the alternator out through the front putting it back in was a struggle trying to wiggle it around wires but it worked
